Mesa

The peregrine falcon soared in, clutching a mallard duck in her talons. Both she and the duck were wet, due to a miscalculation on her part that ended in nearly drowning herself. But thanks to Aaka, she came out of the little inscident alive.

Landing on a small ledge along the face of the Canyon wall, Mesa gave a sharp cry, calling for the hawk that she had met. While she waited, Mesa spread her dark wings to further dry them off.

Tobias

Tobias heard Mesa's call, he spread his wings and took flight. Five minutes later, however, he finally came to her. He perched, carefully though.
"Bit of difficulty, heavy rabbit." He said, looking down at the limp rabbit clutched in his talons gently, not to damage it's carcass.
"You have the duck?" Hawk said, looking at the mallard.

Mesa

She nodded, eyeing the rabbit hungrily, "Yep, here's a duck for you! About drownded myself... stupid duck." She said, mumbling the last half of her sentence. "They are very good. But you'll have to pluck the feathers away before you eat." Mesa pointed out. The 'fine art' of plucking was something she was still working on.

Tobias

Tobias nodded at the eating advice.
"Cool."
He then added:
"You don't need to do anything with the rabbit but eat." He laughed a bit. Then he gave her the fat rabbit.

Mesa

"Thanks!" She exclaimed, pulling the rabbit closer with her outstretched neck. Out of her family, Mesa was by far the most chatty. Holding the carcass down with her talons, the falcon tore at the flesh, pulling up small bits that she gulped down whole. "Rabbit is pretty good, really." Mesa pointed out after a few bites, "How about duck? Do you like it?" She questioned, looking to see if he had taken a bite yet.

Tobias

Tobias plucked off feathers, making a bald spot and tearin off the chunk of duck. He looked up at her.
"It is good, And I think I can addd duck to my menu." He smiled, plucking away more feathers and gulping down a piece.

Mesa & Dally

Mesa's eyes narrowed in a smile, for her solid beak could do no such feat. "Glad you like it! But becareful not to drown yourself though." She continued to eat away at the rabbit.

A second falcon glided through the air, a bit smaller than Mesa. Another Peregrine, and Mesa's brother. "There you are!" he called out, landing on a small outcrop above the two. "Mesa! There's...." He paused, looking to Tobias. "I didn't mean to inturrupt, sorry." The falcon added quickly, shuffling his feathers a bit. "Mesa, what'd I tell you about bothering others..."

"Bothering?" she mumbled out, swallowing another bite, "I'm bothering no one! We're just trying out some new meals."

Tobias

"I'll do that."

Tobias looked at the new Peregrine.
"'Lo, She's not bothering, and I forgive you."
He watched him intently, calm look on his face.

Mesa & Dally

"That's a surprise!" He replied, nudging his sister in jest.
"Shut it, I'm not that annoyong!" She shoved her brother back and tore a hunk of meat off, tossing it to the ground in front of his talons. "There, try some rabbit."
Dally studied the flesh with a bobbing head before plucking it up and swallowing it down. "Pretty good, I have to say."
Mesa nodded, "Yep, that's what I said." Now she turned her attention back to Tobias, "So, do you live around here? We live at the Alleys."

Tobias

Tobias smiled at his thought of Rabbit.
"No, I wander around, temporary homes, you know? I'm still deciding on my home."
Then he laughed a bit.
"Alleys, do you get enough food?"
He didn't make fun of it, he was serious on them eating well.

Mesa & Dally

"Ah, plenty of food!" Mesa exclaimed, extending her wings slightly. "Rats and pigeons are everywhere! But also the pack brings back other meats sometimes. I don't usually prefere that... but, it's nice to have food provided for you."

Dally took a second bite of the rabbit before adding on to his sister's comment, "The Dump is nearby our home, and that's where many rats lives. Also seagulls. But they aren't as good as the pigeons."

Flicking a tuft of fur from her beak, the she-falcon spoke again, "Say, you should come visit sometime! Though I don't see any hawks living there... but it's still a neat place."

Tobias

"Ok, got worried there. And sure, I'll fit it in tomy not-so-busy schedule." He laughed.
"I know many hawks don't live in Alleys, they usually live on lots of prey like rabbit, mice, rats, small food like that. Sometimes after a wolf kills, I'll eat the remainder, If I'm up to it."

Mesa & Dally

"Say, do live all by yourself then? We live with a dog pack." Mesa responded proudly, puffing up her chest a bit.

Dally shook his head, "They're hybrids actually. But I don't think it's normal for falcons to live with canines... but eh, it's fun. And benefitial."

Tobias

Tobias shook his dome.
"Im on my own, but it's my idea of good."
