Night Stalker
*wandering in the black fem sat very close to the edge. she looked down and thought it was serene.*
*Rattlesnake*
A fairly large rattlesnake was coiled up near the cliff, basking in the sun. The wind wasn't helping much to heat her body, but at least this was a good spot for her to hunt, so she stuck around. When the wolfess came, she stepped very close to the rattlesnake who was blended in well with the soil and rocks near the edge. Alarmed, the rattlesnake shook her tail swiftly and pulled her head back a bit.
Night Stalker
*jumping back in alarm she noticed the snake* I am sorry snake i didn't mean to step so close to you. your are a great camouflager
*Rattlesnake*
Her rattling slowly stopped, now that Night Stalker saw her. Turing her unblinking eyes to the wolfess, the snake spoke out in a light voice, "It's no worrry. Jus' making surre you don't step on me." Her blackish tongue flicked out an instant, picking up the scent of the wolf and testing the air for any prey. She was a rather placid snake, and inclined to just sit back and relax even with a potential predator around. Part of her disregard comes from the fact that she is fairly large and knows just how potent her venom is and just how speed her strike can be.
Night Stalker
I'm Night Stalker. *she laid down not in the mood for a snakey snack anyways. she knew just how potent the venom was and the snake’s speed for striking*
*Rattlesnake*
The snake inched her head closer to Night Stalker as her tongue flickered out once more. The blunt head recoiled and rested like before on her dark body. "Night Stalkerr, huh? Have you scented any mice about? I'm awfully hungry... I've just come out from hibernation."
Night Stalker
*she herself hadn't eaten herself in awhile.* "have you tried tall grass prairie? they have moles and other mice and things along the line of that in that area."
*Rattlesnake*
"I have never been that way before." the rattlesnake replied, then pointed out, "But if there is plenty of rodents, I don't suppose it's such a bad place. But... are there many rocks in that area? I love to hide in rock’s crevice"
Night Stalker
not so many large rocks but it is full of tall grass and many dwellings deep in the ground from the mice and stuff that you would most likely be able to fit into. i have dug up one of their dwellings before and found many compartments for different families. it would be like on big mansion
*Rattlesnake*
"Hhhhmm, that sounds like a good place. I would prefer rocks of course, but these dwellings you speak of sound suiting." The snake uncoiled her body as she slid forward over the ground. "Which way is the prairie, by the way?" the snake asked after pausing and arching her neck up to speak to the wolf.
Night Stalker
*she points her maw to the prairie* that way. be ware other wolves though. they might think you a snack
*Rattlesnake*
"Thank you much." she replied as she began to slither her way towards the prairie, "I should hope no wolves see me as a snack; my venom is potent enough to kill a bear." she bragged with a slight grin. "Fare well, Night Stalker." With that, the rattlesnake left the area.
