Zhener

The wedge-tailed eagle, pretty well adapted to his new home and a new continent, settled down on the very edge of the canyon's tallest ledge. He let the cold winter wind rush by and sleek down his feathers, which he kept tightly clamped to his body for warmth. Warmth. That's what he missed a great deal from his old home. That and other eagles like himself to talk too. Zhener sat quietly, wondering if any creature might stray by whom he could talk to.

Kanan

With a personality fitting a pup, Kanan seemed too big for his size. It was true this wolf was an adult, but he just didn't act like one most of the time. He'd rather go off on adventures and what not. Climbing the steep trails of the Canyon, Kanan spotted the dark figure of the bird and instantly took interest.

Stalking forward with stuck up ears and quizzical eyes, Kanan moved closer and closer to the bird, trying to see just how near he could get...

Zhener

Zhener couldn't hear Kanan approaching because the wind was blowing hard against his head. He thrilled at the feeling, because it reminded him of flying. But the cold air froze him to the bone if he soared for too long, so he just sat there on the ledge, unnaware of the canine creeping up on him.

Kanan

Kanan couldn't help but grin brightly as he creeped closer and closer. When he was close enough the wolf hunched down, then lifted a careful paw up and swatted the bird's tail. Beaming joyfully, the wolf scampered back a bit just incase Zhener responded hostily.

Zhener

A terrible screech came from the eagle's mouth as he felt hit against his tail feathers. With a flap of his wings that sent great swirls of snow into the air, Zhener lifted himself from the ground a few feet and whirled in mid-air. "A volf! Vhat you doing? Sneek'n up on me?!?" He cried out in an exasperated tone. Feeling confident in his safety against Kanan though, Zhener landed back on the ledge, but facing the prankster this time with an accusing gaze.

Zhener

Zhener tilted towards the edge, "I must be back to Moon Spirit. Maybe see you later... maybe if you not trick me?" Without waiting for a reply, the eagle leaned forward more, pressing his streamline body towards the uprushing winds. With his huge wings expanded, Zhener plundged out of sight, then pulled high into the air above the Canyon. He soared higher and higher until his form was a vauge shadow in the air. Then it was gone.

Kanan

He blinked in astonishment, curious at the strange tongue of the bird. But those wings! They were huge! Kanan peered over the edge and gulped loudly, seeing how far the drop was. His eyes turned to the eastern lands and he saw in the far distance the forested area that must be former home. Bored now, the wolf turns and heads back down the canyon.
