Sarada
While King was busy trying to keep Kacheska from Xena and Onok was being a fool Sarada just ran from the territory and ran till her legs gave out at the edge of teh canyon. She was in her first season. She laid there glaring down it.
Soul Taker & Others
The sound of multiple clopping hooves echoed faintly from further down the trail, heading in Sarada's direction. Three equines of midnight shade traveled together, moving in a neat, cohesive line across the rocky earth. In the lead was the smallest of the equine trio, and further distinguished by a splash of white upon his forehead that looked star-like in its shape.
Behind him was a larger ebony stallion, with a longer mane and an agile, flowing trot. And behind him was a mare, her coat as dark as her companions, but her eyes a stunning, deep blue. All appeared to be of Arabian heritage, though the larger stallion clearly had some other pedigree mixed in his blood.
The three moved with determination, and if Sarada noticed them from a distance, it would be apparent that they were heading directly to her position.
Sarada
Something told Sarada to get up and she forced herself up. Her nostrils flared as she looks around and sees the three. Her ears go back and she moves in the opposite direction unsure of Thier intentions. One ear always back.
Soul Taker & Others
"Easy, easy, princess." Soul Taker nickered when Sarada quickly rose to her hooves. The ebony stallion picked up his trot and began to move closer to her, while his slightly larger companion began to split from the trio and circle wide around the other side of Sarada. "What's brought you up here, all by yourself?" His words were soft, but there was something sinister in his dark eyes.
Sarada
Her nostrils flare as she catches his words. But something just tells her to keep on moving. NothingShe responds as her hooves begin to carry her faster. Not looking back she had not seen the other one split off.
Soul Taker & Others
With one ear back, Sarada would hear the sharp clop of the stranger's hooves, now beating the earth at a quicker pace.. one that soon matched her own as he attempted to keep up with the young mare. "Where are you going?" His words followed after her with uncomfortable sweetness, and like the look in his gaze earlier, would do little to ease Sarada's mind.
A dark shadow suddenly rushed in from the side. Shaded Moon had galloped head, off of the main trail that Sarada was now moving down, and once he'd caught up with her he burst from the cover of the trees and swung around to try and block the mare's main path of escape.
Behind them all, Osmia trotted at a steady rate, keeping the three in sight, but making no special effort to catch up to them right away.
Sarada
HEr heart was beating fast. Her ears were now back at his words... HomeSHe said as she was about to pick up her speed the other cut her off and she barely had time to stop. Her nostrils flared as she turned to try to have both in her sites. This was a mistake her father always told her never to go out alone. Her nostrils. what do you want? She said.
Soul Taker & Others
Shaded Moon folded his auds back and snapped at Sarada, "Don't try and run, little mare. The cliffs are steep her, and one wrong step..." He nudged a rock with his hoof, sending it clattering over the edge of the canyon, where all four horses could hear it tumble and roll several hundred feet to the bottom, "...well, it wouldn't be good for you."
Soul Taker soon caught back up, "What do we want? That's very nice of you to ask." The tones still dripped with sickly sweetness, "What I'd like is for you to help us with something. Two things, really. Are you up for an adventure?"
Sarada
Her nostrils flared as she was stuck between the two and the cliff. Even if she called out her parents wouldn't here. ** No** she said. Though she knew she had actually no choice. She pulled back at his snap
Soul Taker & Others
Soul Taker leaned his ebony snout forward, cocking an ear close to Sarada as she denied his vague request. "No? That's a shame, I guess we'll have to find someone else to help us.. unless you'd like to change your mind?" He didn't try to snap at the mare as his brother did, nor did he rear up and sent his hooves at her face. Instead, Soul nodded to Osmia, "A little help Osmi?"
Osmia cantered forward nonchalantly, with little more than a glance at Soul Taker. With Soul on one end of Sarada and Shade on the other, Osmia approached at Sarada's open side. Without warning, the blue-eyed mare turned and kicked out at the young mare, leaving her very little room to avoid the strike if she didn't want to fall off the edge of the cliff.
Soul Taker smiled, "I'll ask again, would you like to help us with two simple tasks?"
Sarada
Her nostrils were flared and her breathing a bit heavy. Her ears were back and then the mare turned and kicked her causing her to move sideways closer to one of the stallions. She couldn't go anywhere she was trapped. Her side hurt. What do you want from meShe said. She wanted her mother so badly right now.
Soul Taker & Others
In contrast to Sarada's heavy breathing and pinned auds, Soul looked utterly content and at ease as if he were talking to an old friend, "First, we need your help to rescue a comrade of ours. They're with the humans right now, and we've finally found out where they're being kept. The second-" The ebony stallion nodded to the larger brute behind Sarada, "-has been pining for a foal, and so far no mare has been able to grant him that."
Sarada
Her ears are still back at them. Her nostrils flare. Humans are bad Im not to go near them She snorted her father had always toldh er to keep her distance from the two leggers. then at the second thing her nostrils flare. Noshe said with a snort. She didn't think she had any choice in either. But she couldn't flea they had her trapped no matter what she said or did.
Soul Taker & Others
"That's what the last mare said." Soul remarked casually, "But then she also found herself in the belly of several alligators shortly after." Soul Taker smiled anew, while glancing over the edge of the canyon that Sarada stood so perilously close to. "Well then, lets work on that second thing, and then we'll discuss the humans."
While Soul Taker stood in front of Sarada and Osmia at her flank, Shade approached from the opposite end. Should Sarada put up too much of a fight, they were fully committed to forcing her off the edge of the canyon rather than letting her go...
Sarada
Sarada's ears were back. Then maybe you should heed the words because you'll only get yourselves caught or hurtShe said her nostrils flaring at his second set of words. Her tail clenched down and she stood there she was too frightened currently too fight back any more except to attempt to prevent what she knew was going to happen.
