Maelertech
After hearing what he heard from Autumn and what not Mael was destrought angry. How could Oracle betray her kin her family. If she was unhappy with how the hunters were she should of spoken up their grandmother was very apt at listening to what the whole of the pride had to think. IT was Terserk that was a problem. His sister meant the world to him. He loved her, but now now she had abandoned them for the Makucha no doubt? She could of gone to Nemu and Dusquei for a normal pride life but she chose the hostile ones. She chose the ones who rather tear families apart. He paced along the ege of the canyon almost not caring if he fell off the edge at this point. Because when his father and grandmother found out about Oracle he will be pulled in two as is.
Oracle
"What's got you so riled up, brother?" Those words came from the pale ligeress that had caught wind of Maelertech a few miles back, and after some debate, decided to stalk after him. After watching the brute pace for a bit, she finally stepped out of the snowy backdrop of her hiding spot to address him. Ears flattened and eyes slightly narrowed, Oracle's demeanor alone suggested she was not in a friendly mood towards her littermood. "Have mom and dad not coddled you enough today?"
Maelertech
Mael was torn now stuck in the middle he didn't know what to do. When he first heard her voice he wanted to run to her but he stopped himself. It was coddled part that got him to move away from the edge."why are you trying to make me ." However laughing made him stop and he bared his teeth.
Hades had been bored so had come out to look for fun what he found was oracle and her brother but he wasn't feeling in the mod to invite as he came out. "How cozy a family reunion" he said. Not caring that oracle might hate or love her brother he was itching for a fight he lunged at mael and the two fought. However it wasn't in his favor as he barely got away bleeding and potentially dying he ran for home
Mael had no intention of attacking hades but when hades attacked he had no choice. He wasn't in as bad condition but he collapsed bleeding from his face and sides
Oracle
Oracle was about to go on when the laughter of Hades interrupted them both. She moved back as the two began to fight, then began to circle the quarreling pair, looking for an opening to make an attack herself. The battle was a quick one though, and a fierce one; she hadn't had time to make a decision and jump in, and as Hades began to drag himself away, she cursed, "Dammit Hades, you idiot - you should have warned me and we could have worked together."
That line alone would tell Maelertech all he needed to know about Oracle's allegiance. As he collapsed from his own injuries, she turned to him and stalked closer, "Mael, you're an idiot as well for coming out here by yourself! You should have stayed in the Ruins where you were safe." She paced for a moment, growling as she battled her emotions and tried to reason with her thoughts. She knew this moment would come one day, but she didn't expect it so soon, and now she felt conflicted. She should kill him... that's what the Makucha would do. But despite herself, despite the anger she held at her brother and parents, she couldn't quite bring herself to do it.
She briefly thought about trying to drag him back to the cavern, but he was a big male, and that was miles away, over rough terrain. She'd never make it that far, even for as strong as she was. The growling continued, "I'll let you off today, Mael, as a warning to the Haunters. Consider this my last offer of mercy to you; tell mom and dad not to step foot in the prairie."
Maelertech
At his sisters words he wanted t ojust die what did he do to her? Im not with the haunters any more. im with Nemu and Dusquei. I don't know what we ever did to youHe mumbled unable to get up. i never did anything to hurt you I don't understand why you hate me or our parents. None of us did anything to hurt you.he couldn't see anything at the moment. His eyes were blurry and filled with the blood from his face. His heart was hurting. Was it gonna give out from heart break. The only friend he had, his sister hated him.
Oracle
"When did this happen?" Oracle questioned, surprised by this new information from her brother. She knew vaguely of Nemu's pride, but not enough to know how big it was or what they stood for, only that they lived in the marshy central lands across the river. Sora Asiatic, was it? She never really paid enough attention to her mother's lectures.
Oracle didn't dwell long on that turn of events. She was scowling down at her brother again, this time standing still as she struggled to keep in line with the new ideals goals that she'd set forth for herself. She couldn't stray from them now, not after what had happened in the eskers. "No you didn't hurt me, you just had no faith faith in me, brother. Father didn't either." The ligeress raised her head, "Mother didn't fight for me. Tersek, too damned stuck in the old ways and idolizing some flea-brained wolf of years past. And Senka, caught up in new rules and restrictions, softening the pack. No-" Oracle stated resolutely, turning away from Maelertech, "I'm done with that life; the Makucha offer freedom and true family. No complicated rules, no coddling of the weak. We fight for and protect each other, that's it." She began to walk away now, moving in the direction of Hades' blood trail.
Maelertech
He snorted.maybe if you stopped being into yourself and cared about your family you would of known i've been spending majority of my time with NemuHe said. what you mean faith? we have faith in each other. I don't know who told you that we didn't but they were wrong. He said and he listened. The Makucha kidnap and rape. And from what I've seen want what risen wantedHe said. It hurt to see her walk away leave him here to die. So thats it then? you forsake your family because you felt like you were wrong? You would turn your back on me who needs you more then they ever will? Join Nemu her ideals are better then both the Makucha and Haunters combined. He said. IT broke his heart entirely for his sister to turn his back on him. He did nothing wrong, he had faith in her who ever told her he didn't was wrong. Hades only prooves how bad the Makucha is, I did nothing to invoke his attack and this is not their turfhe said.
Oracle
Oracle growled, stopping and whirling around with a defensive scowl, "You don't have faith in me, Mael, you never did. Whenever I tried to prove myself, you just had to one-up me, didn't you?" The ligeress didn't stop to consider that some of this was in her own head, and that she was getting wrapped up in her own self pity. Part of her didn't want to care, either, and severing those emotions made it a little easier to spit fire back at the brother she use to love and go on exciting adventures with.
"If you were out seeing Nemu, you did it under the noses of the Haunters. And I don't care for her or the others. I don't want to be bound by pointless morals and rigid rules that none of the leaders can even agree on anyway. No killing young creatures? Living in strict hierarchy beside prey animals? Farming them like humans do?" Oracle snorted, calling out both Senka and Tersek's ideals with disgust. "I'm going to live like a real cat, out on the plains with no arbitrary laws to bind me. If you were smart, you'd follow me - but this is the only leniency I'm offering you." To his later comment, she shook her head, "He was a fool for not warning me before hand. But what he didn't wasn't bad; he was being proactive about reducing our enemies. The Shadow Haunters use to be strong and feared by the rest of the Valley if the tales mom are to be believed. We have to keep their numbers in check if we are to have any hope of keeping to our free lives in the prairie."
Maelertech
His mind was going over things as he lay there potentially dying.Go back to where that murderous coward ran off to? I don't think so. He was not being protective he was trying to murder. I see you are corrupted and I am sorry you thoght I didn't have faith in you but that is your ow nthoughts, you were my world ORacle the only one I cared to do things with. Perhaps if you had clued me in to you leaving maybe then I would of joined you but now, Nemu and Dusquei are the better choicehe said an slowly he staggered to his feet still gushing blood as he did so.You care for nothing but yourself. I hope you never have cubs you don't deserve themHe said as he now began staggering toward NEmu home.the huanters know I left, father knows where i amHe said. You'll get karma some dayhe said defeated in spirit as he limped away not sure if he'd make it.
Zanarah
With an alarming number of Haunters missing, Zanarah set out the next dawn following Aizen's rescue. She'd failed to come across the path of Moon Blink and Shadowstep thanks to the snowstorm, and Oracle likewise had no new tracks to pick up on beneath so much snow. But Maelertech's were much fresher, and she'd already clued in on him leaving the pack now and then and heading in the direction of the northern boggy lands.
Today her hunch was partially right, at least enough that she'd stumbled across his tracks and was able to follow that towards the Canyon, where a scene of bloodshed greeted her. 'Oracle...? And who's this scent.. another big cat. And Mael... it must have been an ambush.' She was confused by the fact that Oracle's trail led after Hade's, and almost went in that direction. But scenting so much of Mael's blood on the ground, and went his direction first, and after a few short minutes of swift running, came across the male further down the canyon.
"Maelertech!" The ligeress called out, now bounding down the steep incline towards him. "What happened? Was your sister captured?" She turned a tongue against a few of his wounds before coming up beside him, offering herself as a brace to lean against, "We need to get you back to Quili, she needs to tend your wounds."
Maelertech
He was trying t oget to Nemu but his body was not happy. then his ears twitch.Oracle is a traitorhe growled. pain saying the words .I must go to Nemu and Dusquei I no longer stay with the hauntersHe mumbled.
Zanarah
"Oracle?" She was as shocked by this as she was of Maelertech's insistence on going to Nemu. She glanced in the direction of the blood trail, but thought better of trying to follow that, not wanting to leave Mael behind, and not wanting to walk into an ambush of he was right about his sister. "We can talk about Oracle after you've been taken care of. But Mael, why go to Nemu's pride? You need a healer, your wounds... they don't look good." She wouldn't stop him from going there of course, and would help guide him if he really wanted to, but she was worried for his health right now.
Maelertech
He kept slowly trudging in Nemu's home direction.Because Im tired of living at the ruins, its small cramped. Nemu's is open how we are suppose to live. Help me there and you can bring the healer there if you so wishHe said.
Zanarah
A smidgen of anxiety crept into Zanarah as she thought about going near Nemu's territory, though this paled in comparison to the shock of Oracle's betrayal. Slowly, she decided to continue supporting Maelertech, staying at his side as they began to descend the Canyon. "I didn't know you felt that way, Mael." She said softly, while trying to match him step for step, so as not to jar her friend and cause him any undue pain. "I'll escort you there, and I'll ask about Quilikahm, but.. I'm not sure if Senka and Tersek will permit her to travel to Nemu's." It honestly didn't matter to Zanarah, but she wasn't sure how her leaders felt about Nemu's splinter group, and whether there was an alliance or not with the defectors. If it would help Mael though, she would at least ask.
Maelertech
He keeps limping in that direction. "Last time I checked senka and nemu we're on good terms" she said.
