Almera

The sheer cliff attracted her, and although she saw no immediate shelter from danger, she approached. The strong winds whipped her fur around, the dim light form the setting sun sending a greyish sheen through her tossing fur. She looked around, wary of the other wolves, and avoided them. Her muscles rippled beneath her slightly dull and battered coat, adorned in many battle scars; and she lowered herself the ground in a more secluded area. Her piercing green eyes scanned the surrounding terra, although her right eye was nearly blind, and released a wolfish sigh.

Riot

Riot's prowling form skipped, or at least looked like it was skipping across the open plain. As the wind picked up however, she stoppped moving so briskly and placed her paws where they'd stay, firmly moving along to the bundle of fur on the cliff...

She sniffed slowly inhaling her scent, a lone wolf was she? Well Riot used to be, may aswell say howdy.

The femme walked up towards the bundle, friendly, but strong in her posture, as her tail wagged loosely.

"Hallo there."

Almera

She looked back at the she-wolf, her peircing green eyes dull as she gave her company a once over. She nodded a greeting, cocking a wolfish brow. "Hello."

Riot

Riot's strong frame sat docilely, content to eye her surroundings for a moment before settling back to a friendly gaze.

"From around here?"

Riot pauses, thinking better...

"Ah, by the way, I'm Riot."

Almera

She relinquished her slightly defensive posture, noticing the other wolf's similar actions and gave a most wolfish shrug.
"I suppose you could say something like that." Her voice was slightly deep, rough with years of hardships and adventure. "And I am Almera."
She twitched her ears around, listening for others approaching, and settled on studying the femme before her, intaking her scent and learning what knowledge she could before conversation began.

Riot

Riot's tail curled, almost like a cats as she wagged it slightly before her. Her scent told of her position, she was an alpha, her pack had no occupants though, she would ask later, perhaps if the female felt more interested in taking a choosen spot in the lands. In the meantime, she ached for a conversation, it had been too long since she'd seen another that was alone in this world. Lately she'd seen breeding season take flight, but she would not take part in that ritual.

She glanced up carelessly, feeling the wind pick up as it ruffled her ivory coat. She nodded slowly in acknowledgement to the wolf now known to her as Almera.

"Ah, can't say I've been here a lifetime, but it seems it would take that long to simply find out of the mysteries."

She pauses, thinking to herself.

"I have been wanting to seek out this pike's lake, heard the fishing is fine."

Almera

She gave amost wolfish shrug, and nodded.
"The mysteries of life are abundant." she replied softly, casually. In truth, inside her, she felt a certain bond to this femme's own persona. The breeding season had come upon them recently, but she had no want or need for it, especially as the years continually crawled upon her. She had no allegiance to a pack, and if she was to, her preffered position would be just as high as her new found companion. She thought about the comment on the lake. "Perhaps we should see if these rumors are true?"
She stood up, and stretched momentarily, warming up her aching muscles. The winter time often caused her to become weak and anxious, tired and achey-it was a most unfortunate trait passed down from the females of her bloodline. She gave a small smile to her companion, Riot, a most rare feature indeed.

Riot

Riot, unlike her counter-part felt more spirited in the frigid weather, her pelt was fine insulation and she adored the feel of cool air waking her lungs. She lifted her bodice, shaking off the debris gathered on her hindquarters. She nodded contently to Almera, She had noticed the independent streak within the other wolf, and acknowledge it, she doubted that the fine wolf would join her, but company was company.

"Shall we then?"

Her muzzle lifts slightly tail wagging merrily as she spun a quick enthusiastic circle, the joys of youth, waiting for the other to join her so they could move together.

Almera

Hefting herself up, she gave a momentary lapse in caution, stretching her forepaws out with a silent yawn. Her eyes held a small flicker of life and she nodded, following the shewolf.
"We shall." She replied, giving an acute wolfish grin, and continued on along side her.
