.surrender.

Blood stains red red,
Here I am, left for dead
Lover, lover, hear me scream
Baby, tell me its all just a dream

Pretty little thing with her head held down and her eyes filled with dread. There was something about the red and white mare that made someone stand off a bit. She smelled of wolves, of horses, of wild insanity. Forgotten was the daughter of the dreaded stallion, Morbid Temptation and the loving and strong Aydan. Both are strong in their own right, and in her own way, Forgotten was strong. She was quiet. She was strong. She was angry. She was confused. Stolen as a foal by the Sedge Creek pack, for the first six months of her life the she had been a... Puppet. Brain washed to believe anything that she was told, especially about her mother. And now... Here she was..... Lost.

The canyon screamed of desolation and torment. A place where someone could just.... Disappear. The mix blooded mare stared over the canyons edge, watching the life before her pass by as if nothing bad could ever happen... But... at least she knew the truth.

Pretty as a picture,
Lovely like a rose...
Gonna have fun,
Dancing with your bones.

Mystery

Mystery was the daughter of the Shadow Haunter's leader, Greyfell and one of the herd mares, Luna. Life had been pretty decent for this young mare thus far, she had not had to deal with the dangers and such that many others did due to their 'herd' being a close nit protective group. When she was young, some of the other young ones had been stolen, but she had not been among those who had been. So, Mystery had been able to grow up without any fears really.

Now, she had decided that it was time for her to get out on her own just a little bit. She was growing into a very beautiful mare, instead of an awkward foal, and yet she had never really left her herd's lands. She knew nothing of what was on the out side. So, she struck off today. Her warm chocolate orbs took in all of the sights that were around her, most of them were completely new to this oddly colored mare.

As she walked along, she came upon another mare who was standing alone at the Canyons. She inhaled deeply to see if the mare's scent might be some how familiar, but it was not. She smelled strongly of wolves, though this did not deter Mystery. No, there were wolves in their 'herd' as well as deer, big cats, and just about anything else that one could think of.

This mare's demeanor was what was kind of throwing off the Appaloosa cross mare that was Mystery. Though, she would not let a little thing like that keep her from being friendly. You see, unlike her mother, she was a very friendly mare. She really enjoyed socializing with others and really did not have much of an attitude. So, she approached the other mare and tossed her dappled tan dial, causing her zebra striped mane to flow in the slight breeze.

Hello, I am Mystery... Is something wrong?

Tones were soft and friendly as they left her kissers. She was willing to try to help this other mare if she could, but first she had to ask what was wrong with her and receive an answer...

.surrender.

Her head lifted to see who had spoken, and she responded without even thinking. Have you ever wondered why you're alive? It was a simple enough question, but it was enough to give someone pause. Was Surrender suicidal? No, no. Not really. She was just... Well... Lost. That's the only way to explain it. The paint colored mare looked back over the edge of the canyon. I've wondered why I'm alive. I don't do much good. Saydin made sure I couldn't do anything right and yet I'm not very good at doing things wrong. It's like I'm just there. Have you ever felt like that, Mystery? Her name hadn't been given yet, and she frowned. Surrender. My name is Surrender. I live... Somewhere. We used to be the Toklat Canyon herd but... Something bad happened. Then something worse happened. Now we live at the silver glades. She frowned a bit more, her ears pinning back a bit as she lost herself in thought. Saydin had warped her mind, created a danger to the world and to herself.
