Tyrant

Months had passed since the last time Tyrant had touched this valley. With the news of his sisters death, a bittersweet emotion presented itself in the brute. Large crimson orbs shivered as they beheld, and yet did not see the forest below the canyon. He was lost in his thoughts, his mother had gotten her revenge, finally, but now he had lost another of his kin. One of the only ones that he had ever really had a grudge against, his own sister.

The large, 180lb wolf lay on a rock, the gentle summer breeze caressing his fur as he dozed in thought. He hadn't seen many in a while, though he had been in the Canyon the whole time, after his sister's disappearance, he decided to go into hiding for a bit. Although he had no natural enemies, the brute felt a sense of unease with the change in power in the Shadow Haunters. He now looked for someone he recognized, and even though he searched and searched, he could find none. His brother, Crucified, was missing, and Tyrant really didn't want to deal with any of the Haunters at the moment, nor the Lurkers, nor anyone. The only family he had left was his father and his brother. Both of which hated each other.

There was a long sigh before Tyrant stood. The one he hadn't looked for, and hadn't seen for a long while, was the one he now wanted to speak with: Vicious. The old wolf was getting up there in age, but he knew his father's ferocity would never dwindle.

A low howl began to escape the brute, warning the valley of his return. Although Tryant never really posed much of a threat on the valley, he knew that others feared him both because of his size, and because of his heritage.

Enola

She moved throughout the canyon, the steel grey female with her bright yellow eyes. She watched Tyrant for a moment before she stepped from the brush that had kept her so well hidden. Its been awhile, Tyrant. No longer was she a husk of a wolf, skin and bones. Her coat shone a shiny silver, and she moved with ease and grace. Her loved for Crucified had never quite left her, but Enola knew that there was nothing from him that he would ever give. There was still Tyrant, always Tyrant. I missed you... She murmured softly, not quite sure he heard her. It had been so long since seeing the massive brute, and she gave a faint, sad smile. It was bittersweet to see him once more. She loved Tyrant, in her own way of love. She watched him carefully, seeing if he had changed as Crucified had.

Tyrant

As the brush beside his began to move, his head flicked around quickly. There was a hint of warning, but it quickly died as he saw who it was. It was replaced with a smile and his tail waved gingerly behind him. "It has been quite a while hasn't it Enola." He said softly. "You look a lot healthier. I'm glad to see you are doing well" and by well he meant physically, he caught her sad smile and offered a reassuring one in return. Her murmured words were hard to hear, and he could only guess what she had said without knowing exactly. Nervous about replying to something he may have heard wrong, he offered her a warm embrace, letting his head rest gently upon her back. Then whispering softly, "I missed you too."

Enola was one of the few Tyrant actually trusted, and he grew closer to her over the years of war in the valley. Trust was something fragile among wolves these days, you couldn't be too careful about who's paws you'd trust your life with. But Enola was the one he felt most comfortable with.

Enola

She slid easily into his embrace, giving him the gentlest of nuzzles. Her smile was light and easy as she stood, body against body. I figured that I wasn't going to let Hestier ruin my life. I was oing to get back to being... me. She was a proud wolfess these days, one who took pride in herself, her beauty. But their was a lack of slyness to her. Only openness, warmth. She still had a shy innocence about her, and she smiled faintly. Nice to see you back in the valley, tyrant. She gave another smile, and her tail waved tenativly. He had never hurt her, not like Hestier had. She licked his muzzle lightly. A carress, a touch. Sweet, innocent Enola...

Tyrant

As he caught her soft nuzzle, he could only return it with a protective and caring one. As if to tell her how important she had become to him, and how much he would risk to keep her safe. "Life if too beautiful and too short to live in pain." he began to recall his mother's death, and the searing pain that had been sent through him that day. There was a small twitch that could only hint the painful memory that plagued him for that moment. But his eyes soon returned to her, nodding at her words. "I don't think I could leave the valley even if I tried. There are too many memories here, besides, you are here." As long as Enola lived, he vowed to himself, he'd keep her out of trouble to the best of his ability.

He moved gracefully away, as graceful as a beast could move, moving to the edge of his ledge. A ledge he called home for years. Screw the rest of the Canyon, this was his home. Crimson eyes turned back, inviting Enola to come and enjoy the view with him. "This land is quiet, and enjoyable. If ever life gets too hard for you, I want you to come visit and relax." He was a loner, now and always. As much as it's a wolf's instincts to live in groups, too many too much bothered the male. He preferred quite and serenity.
