VALIAN

Those haunting yellow eyes took in every detail of the Canyon, from the way the wind pushed and pulled the trees, to the way the retreating deer herd scattered like seeds. Beneath one of his paws was one of them, the young female whose fawn was now motherless. The blood of the doe stained the fur round his jaws, coated his teeth in a fine film of red, splattered over the white patch on his chest in a gruesome display of his power.

Valian had left his sister's pack. Sylar and the Aspen Grove meant little to him, aside from it being the home of his mother. Cortinarri was the only one he cared for in this world. Not Starscream, not Isias, not Sylar. They were not aware of this, mind, for Valian had them all under his spell. Sylar was very wary of him, unwilling to anger the untamed creature that was her littermate. It was a wise thing to do.

Sinking onto his belly, Valian began to tear into his kill, allowing more blood to spill from the fallen doe and onto his chest and forepaws, making this sinister creature even more fearsome. He was out only for himself. Nothing else mattered, no one else mattered. Once Cortinarri died, Valian would truly be a lone spirit, a spirit that brought chaos and destruction in his wake.

No one was worthy of his companionship.

Saydin

She was covered in Kahvi's blood, it coated her face, her chest... The bastard hadn't even fought back. Hopefully, his body would be gone from the territory by the time she got back. How was she going to deal with it? She was cleansing the pack, getting rid of those weak and unworthy of her. Vain, yes, but she hated those that lied. Her hackles were raised, and she made her way to the canyon on silent paws.

The canyon was quite breezy today, sending the females coat in all sorts of directions. At only sixty pounds, many would pass her by and believe her weak but saydin was anything but. She stood for a moment, staring at the bleak emptiness of the valley when another scent caught her attention. So much for getting away. Blood caught her attention as well though, and she was drawn to it, and the scent of the other as though it were her life source.

She moved with her head down, stalking Valian and his dead prey. Kahvi was gone from her mind as she watched this male, this ultimate display of power. A dark laugh was emitted from her throat as she watched the brute for a moment. Yes, he was everything Kahvi wasn't. Could she do things right this time? Enjoying yourself, darling? She asked in a dark voice.

VALIAN

He sensed her long before she arrived, the pair of them picking each other out amongst the scents of the world. He guarded this kill like Cerberus did the gates of hell, a monster that few would dare to provoke, his body lay over it while he tore into the flesh, rending it from bone. He waited for her, the female he could smell on the wind, his fangs tearing away a hunk of meat as he tracked her with his ears and nose. Not long now until she arrived.

She stopped for a moment, off to his left and behind him somewhat, but not because she was scared or apprehensive. No, she was observing him. Valian stopped eating, his ears turning to where she stood, but his focus remained over the canyon edge, over the valley. Her question prompted a rare laugh to escape him, a low, gutteral chuckle that would make even the bravest quiver, but clearly it would have no effect on the one wolf who had dared stalk the hunter himself.

"Like you couldn't imagine," he rumbled sarcastically, those fierce yellow eyes slowly turning to meet hers without hesitation, and he was pleased to see she did not turn away. What surprised him was how much it was like looking in a mirror. They looked so similar, and by the glimmer in her eyes, they were kin when it came to mentality too. "In a spot of bother?" he asked, jerking his muzzle in the direction of her bloodied jaws and coat. It was like two halves of a whole: one large, one small, both covered in the blood of another, both black in body and mind.

Look out world, a new era is born.

Saydin

Saydin's eyes remained locked on his, and that spark of insanity flashed for a moment. I killed my mate for being unfaithful to the pack. Her eyes watched him carefully now, those bright yellows taking him in slowly, carefully to judge his reaction. Kahvi had gotten what he deserved. Nobody would bring her down. Her tail curled around her body as she sat there, staring at him with the insane glimmer sparkling in her eyes. She liked this wolf, with his bad ass attitude and don't give a damn ways. He was a hunter, a killer. She gave a dark smile to him. So now I'm back on the market, looking for a true partner in crime. The sedge creek pack needed a good cleansing anyways. She gave a careless shrug of her dainty shoulders. Beautiful, wicked, and deadly.

VALIAN

Instead of reacting with shock and disgust after being presented with the news that she had just killed the one she was meant to prize above all others, a slow smile spread over Valian's slender muzzle, and his eyes blazed with sick approval of her actions. He slowly got to his feet, and moved towards her like a snake charming his prey, waiting for the moment to strike after lulling her into a false sense of security with his gentle approach. "A replacement so soon? You really don't hang around do you?" They were rhetorical questions, and he seemed to approve of her actions. "My name's Valian," he breathed quietly as he stood right before her, his breath, full of the sweet scent of blood, death and chaos, sweeping over her face like a lover's caress, "you're new accomplice."

Saydin

Her laughter was dark and seductive and she rose slowly, her black body moving in one fluid motion. Life is to Short, Valian. Why wait around? She gave him a dark smile, a chaotic grin, and another seductive laugh. My name is Saydin. Saydin. Satan. How close together those two words were. And just how crazy was she? My new partner in crime, eh? Care to prove that, darling? Her smile came easy, what a relief that was. Shew asn't stuck up, shrewd, or... Well, okay she was crazy but thats besides the point. She had an idea, a slow idea slowly forming. I have an enemy, who resides at the alleys. Many of them actually, but I happen to know that only one is left there right now, for shes... Not quite up for a meeting with her old alphess. Kill her, and prove to me just how badly you want to be my new accomplice. Poor Sasha dear, she was gonna be so upset...

VALIAN

Prove himself? Valian's smile faded, but his eyes still held a firey intensity. Of course he would, for her and only her. Asking him to kill for her was like asking a child to go on a rollercoaster; an adrenheline fuelled experience that promised nothing but fun and delight. "My pleasure, Saydin. Lead the way."
