Nanuka & Tango

The two cougars mother annd son prowled the canyon this morning for any ususpectig humas

*Hikers*

With spring here and greenery just starting to spring up from the cold winter hibernation, more humans were out and exploring the area. Today was the day that a small group of people were taking a hike along one of the Canyon's trails, led along by a guide. All together, there were seven people in the group, ranging from a young couple in their twenties, to an older fellow with a peppery beard and tanned skin.

Nanuka

nanuka spotted them and crept closer very slowly. She targeted the male of the young couple. She waited. Once he weas in striking distance she leapt out at him.

Tango crept along toward the female. He waited and then once the girl got close enough he leapt for her.

*Humans*

The stealth of the big cats allowed them to get close without anyone the wiser. When the mother and son duo sprang their ambush, the young couple was taken off guard by the felines, with the man being completely bowled over. He reflexively had his hands up to protect his throat, while trying to kick at Nanuka's underbelly.

The woman was knocked over as well, screaming in terror as she began to flail about and try to get away.

The rest of the hikers backed away at first, while a few of them began to pick up sticks and rocks to harass the attacking cougars with. The hiking guide, having been trained to deal with attacks - particularly in this valley - was swift to get out his can of pepper spray and aim for for Tango's face, trying to drive the cat back.

Tango

Tango mauled her. He aimed bites and scratches anywhere. He felt sticks hittign him. Then somethig was i his face and it stunng. He sprang forward for the guide now innn a blind rage.

Nanuka snarled annd lashed out with her paw at random people as she contiusly tried to kill this male.
