Skif
Swirling snowflakes flitted down to only cover more that rested on the ground. Some fell down farther to their doom through the big gap between two widely spaced rock formations. This is where Skif was looking down there. He was wondering what would happen to fall down there. Doom surely he thought, but how would someone describe doom for that matter. To fall to your death or remain alive in this God Forsaken land. Ah but its just that isn't it. A soft sigh escaped his maw as he layed down in the snow. Sparkling orbs looked around him wondering if any other lupine was around.....
Mahotsukia
She had been asleep when snow had begun to fall, never stirring until she was buried beneath the fine powder. When she awoke, alarm consumed her and panic rushed over her small black body. She shot upwards, sending a shower of snow everywhere. Before, she had appeared to be nothing more then a rock formation buried beneath the snow. Now, the haunting black female stood, disoriented and in a state of mind that was much like that of chaos. Thats when her eyes found Skif's. She halted, calm and serenity encompassing her. She gave a soft woof, letting him know that she was there, but it was quite obvious, wasn't it? Her eyes trailed to below, then back up again. Death is a dangerous thing to play with, mon chere. Her eyes said. She never spoke, not anymore. Not to anyone.
Skif
Skif looked up when he heard a noise. Turning he saw Mahotsukia comming out of the snow. He read her look, but he didn't say anything for quite awhile. "Who said i'm playing with it my lady." was all his return look said. Ah yes he had played with death quite a few times, but he always seemed to get away huh. Sure he knew it was dangerous however it gave you thrill. He wondered why this fea was talking to him anyways. He decided to speak up with his voice this time. "I'm Skif,"he said voice soft.
Mahotsukia
Her eyes lit up with merriment for a moment, soft laughter in her eyes. Mahotsukia. Sukia for short. As she came closer, her eyes became apparent. They were mostly silver, with red streaking through them giving her a half mad appearance but indeed she was quite sane. Her eyes traveled downward into the deep canyon, then he looked back up to Skif. Where is it that you come from, Skif? Mahotsukia asked him softly. Well, softly in terms of eyes. No, she had yet to open her maw and release a single vocal. she rarely ever did.
Skif
Skif smiled as she seemed to become happier. "Nice to meet you Sukia. I come from Hidden Meadows,"he said speaking up. Ears perked as he looked at her eyes notcing that they we're silver with red in them. He actually liked them for the most part. "Where are you from?" he asked with his eyes which are pale blue. His coat is glossy white with a gray splotch on his back and forhead. His thick, lush tail wagged in the forever falling snow.
Sukia
Her smile faltered a bit as he asked where she was from. I... She looked around her, at the canyon, at the earth. Here. I stay mostly here, at the canyon. I feel like I can fly here, like I can escape. The wind started to blow, sending snow flurries swirling around her black body as she watched him. It gave her an ethereal look, with those hauntingly red and silver eyes and her blue black coat. Indeed, she was a wonderful sight for many. She was a beauty, and if another male were to come along, they would think so as well. Jealousy, such a petty t hing.
Skif
Skif nodded his head understanding what she meant. His breathing quickened when the snow swirled around her. Indeed she was beautiful, and he would hear nothing else other than that. Even in his mind he was claiming her as his. Now the only thing he had to do was to tame her. Little did he know it was going to be like taming a snowflake itself. His eyes attempted to stare into hers as if he was trying to read her. If another male did come along to try to steal this goddess from him he would have to kill Skif first.
Sukia
She smiled at him. Indeed, she would be a hard one to tame, for her spirit was a free one, and she loved to soar with the winds and always spoke her mind. She gave a gleeful giggle as the wind picked up and ruffled her coat even more, making her close her eyes, but a smile was on her lips. the winds, they speak their minds, don't they? She said with her eyes. Her laughter was a thing of beauty, enough to make a composer of a symphony weep with joy. Her black banner waved, and once more she spoke with those alluring eyes. My brother, he listens to the winds. He knows what they say, and has the patience to listen to them. I don't. I'm reaaaaallly impatient. Her eyes were laughing and gentle, twinkling and bright.
Skif
Skif watched her as she spoke more with her haunting, and yet luring eyes. "Your patient for the wind, and i think it adores you,"he spoke back to her using his voice. "I wonder how the wind can harmonize with our songs so well. Its like some talent they have,"he said adding the rest with his eyes. Indeed the wind rose and fell so perfectly with ones howling. He waited for her answer eyes alight with laughter and happyness.
Sukia
Her eyes smiled and she suddenly through her head back, letting loose a bone chilling howl, so sad and yet so beautiful. The winds seemed to thrive, picking up and going crazy. It spun around her, it spun around him, it spun around them both and sent flurries in every direction. As her howl came to end, the laughter was still so very much alive in her eyes. I think your right, Skif. Her natural voice was extremely husky, both naturally and from disuse. Indeed, it had been nearly two years since the last time she had spoke.
Skif
Skif smiled at her when she howled. He listened to her music loving the way it send chills down his spine. When she spoke for the first time his ears perked to their full height. "You have a beautiful voice Miss Sukia,"he said softly. Than he threw back his own head and let his song fill the heaven above and earth around them. His was a haunting sound with a lullaby in the middle. Like a horrible deed with a sweet promise at the end.
Mahotsukia
She smiled and closed her eyes, listening to his haunting song. She could feel it rise, feel it fall... Her black banner waved and she threw back her head once more and joined him, so that their songs combined in a symphony to penetrate the night air, and fill the world around them music. As the song came to an end, her head dropped back down to stare straight into his eyes. I haven't spoken in two years. My brother is quite angry over that. Ah, her brother. Such a brute he was. Handsome, devilish, and a pissed off bastard. Not something she wanted to deal with, but family was family.
Skif
Skif kept howling when she joined him. However he broked off when she did, and a smile was on his maw. "You have control over you own voice. Who is this brother you speak of,"he asked curioius now.
Sukia
Her smile turned dark and bitter. Datenshi. Mate of White Feathers. There was bitterness in her eyes, for Datenshi had been pressing her limits as of late and she wasn't entirely certain how to deal with the overbearing male. She knew he had to be put into his place. That was for sure.
Skif
Skif eyes went soft as if to try and clam her. "Bad blood between you two huh? Or is it White Feathers that makes you mad,"his eyes questioned her. He was concerened now and wondered if he could help in any kind of way. Sukia was growing on him that was for sure. He wouldn't call it love just yet, but it was above friendship. He didn't know who this White Feathers or Datenshi was, but maybe he would find out later. Just hope the brute isn't protective over his sister a humorous thought came to him. If he was Sukia's brother though he would be protective as well.
