Windsong

it's like a freak show

Windsong manuevered himself up the rocky canyon road to the mesa. His thick pads scrabbled against the icy ground, a thick wind sinking threw his ivory fur to his flesh. The temperatures had dipped to single digits and the bleak wind blustered them into the negatives. But Windsong was an Arctic Wolf, he believed. The coldness did not bother him, in his own physical ways. But he worried about Amari, who was coyote. I'll keep her warm. I'm her father, I have to take duty in these things, Windsong thought, turning to glance over his shoulder for Amari. "The path gets thinner, but it shouldn't both you. Just stick close to the wall," Windsong instructed with a warm, fatherly tone.

Windsong brushed threw the icy branches of a bush, bursting onto the mesa. A cold wind slashed against him, giving him a sense of fear. It was here where he almost died. Where Morgun saved him. Where he lost his mind. Death almost got me! Death Guardian...the wolf I met at the prairie in the summmer...he...killed...me...kinda, Windsong thought shaking. He strode towards the middle, thinking of the spot where Morgun had nursed him. He was crazy...but he's changed since his father died. God wants me to forgive, so I shall.

Windsong yawned, his jaws stretched wide. He turned for Amari. "This is the mesa. A friend...Morgun...saved me here. I am forever in her debt," Windsong explained, to his daughter. "The wind blows so strong here. It brings in scents from all over. The mesa is also a nice place for the summer...nice and cool..."

Amari

Amari followed Windsong closely, taking everything in. It was cold here, but the curiosity was burning. She could see places that looked so familiar. She could see a den off in the distance and walked closer to it. "I think I had my first pups here. Three of them, maybe? Aurinka, Iota, and...Liekki. Is that right?" She didn't know that Aurinka and Liekki were dead, though. And she didn't know that she had over 160 descendants. She knew only bits of her past life. She could feel, very vaguely, a massive family.

She ran onto the mesa with her father and looked around. "It must be great here in the summer..." She paused and leaned against Windsong, shivering. "But I'm cold. Do you have a home?"

Aphrodite

Aphrodite was in the canyon searching for herbs for the pack. She let out a long sigh as she looked around. She had found a mate one that no one would come in between. She still had feelings for Windsong but he was out of her reach for many reasons. She soon came to a halt as she saw something she never expected to see. Windsong....She watched him and the pups. At first she was hesistant. Windsong....She soon spoke a bit of studdering. She stared at him as if a ghost just showed itself.

Windsong

Windsong lifted his muzzle, smiling. "Yes..." He responded, the names feeling very fimiliar. He could see Aurinka, but pain overcame him. "I hurt Aurinka once..." Windsong stopped short, his eyes directing out to Aphrodite. Her eyes...those distant, violet eyes that bore into him. Windsong growled, showing his teeth, at first that is. He manuevered himself in front of Amari, trying to protect his daughter. Windsong didn't feel threatened by Aphrodite, though, and he was confused. Perhaps she had been a friend in his past? "Wh-who are you?" Windsong questioned, his lips falling over his teeth but his position did not change.

Aphrodite

aphrodite coward down a bit at first and then stood back up.I am Aphrodite, You do not remember? She spoke softlyWe use to have a thing for each other, I have pups of yours and you saved their lives from humansShe spoke. She lowered her stance as not to frighten the pup or him.

Amari

It didn't really matter to Amari that Windsong hurt Aurinka once. She knew she was close to Windsong before her death, so it seemed that she had forgiven him.

Amari lowered her head aggressively and growled at Aphrodite when the wolf approached. She felt a vague feeling that she once hated this particular female, and she still did. "Get away from us!" The coyote pup snarled.

Windsong

Windsong shook his head, blinking. "Eragorn...his name..." Windsong murmured, looking up at Aphrodite for approval. "My family didn't like you...they drove you away...so I ran off. I tried to kill myself, but Death stopped me. He almost killed me, instead. But, Morgun saved me. I don't remember much, just Tahti and blips of memory that my daughter, Amari, reminds me of." Windsong shook his head, stepping towards Aphrodite to see her closer. That soft fur, the slender body, it seemed so fimiliar to Windsong. But, it also brought pain. Aphrodite reminded him of Tahti's murderer, the wolf that he'd hated for so long for killing Tahti. But, still, Aphrodite had been there for Windsong when he was lost from loosing his mate.

Seeing Amari so scared made Windsong torn. He couldn't let his daughter suffer, but yet he didn't want to leave this female. He looked up at Aphrodite regretfully. "I...I'm sorry, Aphrodite. I know that we once loved one another, but I can't let my daughter suffer," Windsong managed to say, his heart feeling torn. "Please remember me." Windsong stepped forward and nuzzled Aphrodite before turning back to Amari. "Let's go Amari...good-bye, Aphrodite."

Aphrodite
