Shinji

Shinji knew that only one law was absolute in this world. The survival of the fittest. For the simple purpose of survival Shinji left to train in the canyon. He went to the most northern part of the canyon and started to train. For hours he fought against the wind and jumped from one part of the cliff to another. He would do this everyday. Sometimes he even trained for many days without even returning to his pack. After 2 weeks of his rigorous self training he howled trough the entire canyon "I finally did it! I mastered the move I was taught when I was nothing more but a small child!". Even so he continued his training waiting for someone to arrive. He knew that someone special would arrive in this part of the canyon.

Prisoner

A spotted gypsy vanner mare trotted through the canyon, the walls of the cliff crumbling at her hooves at the times she moved to close, and then a haunting thunder escaped from under her feet as she made her way along paths. The canyon was something she knew well enough, but at this moment, in this moment where her heart fluttered with fear, the canyon became so foreign.

"DETENTION!" She squeeled into the air as she stopped upon a ledge and reared. "Detention where are you!!?" The mother mare snorted with wide eyes. Moving away and with grace, she pulled the same moves Shinji did, but with more of a precise feel to her jumps, not looking back, not praising what she accomplished. Not worrying about a misstep that crumbled to a spikey floor. She was blind now. Searching for her son. He was injured, even handicap maybe! She closed her eyes for a moment and slid to a stop. Looking again over the canyon. At this moment she spotted Shinji, and cried out to the wolf, "Hey you! Have you seen a foal around here? Please, I've lost my son!"

Unknown to her, the Shadow Haunters were starting to notice her and Detention's absence, they were readying a search party for the two equines.

Shinji

"Hmm? I'm sorry but I haven't seen aynone in this part of the canyon. I've been too busy training. I could help you look for him! Afterall for now I've finished the training." Shinji said with a familiar voice. Quickly and perhaps even Gracefully he jumped over the rocks to the top of the canyon where Prisoner was. "I'm not trying to be discouraging but this place is extremely dangerous for young pups. So if we want to find him we have to hurry. Just tell me what he looks like and I'll scout the lowermost part of this canyon." Shinji said with a slightly more serious tone in his voice than before. "I'm sorry for preaching to you. You already know about this canyons dangers I'm sure."

Really quietly.....really far away....Shinji could hear the voices of a small group of wolves.

Prisoner

The mare shook her head, mane ruffling in the wind as her tail lashed at pesky bugs around his hind quarters. "He looks exactly like me, but a little smaller in size right now. He may even be hurt, I don't know!" Nostrils grew wide as she looked around the canyon. If she were a normal horse, she would find it odd asking a predator for help. But since she was a part of the Shadow Haunters, this was nothing new to her.

Shinji

"That's brave from you. 1st If I had a pack I could probaply eat your child and 2nd even tough I'm a loner I still might kill him. But rest assured. I wont do anything to him.", Shinji said with grief in his voice and jumped off the cliff and landed into the lowermost part of the canyon. You could see how his legs hurted but other than that he was seemingly okay. Then he started sniffing around trying to find the foal's smell.
