Sola padded into the canyon her head held down as her tongue lolled out of her mouth. Her curled tail flopped on her back as she navigated down into the trees trying to find a little shade. ‘Stupid rocks, stupid burrs, stupid sun. she chanted to herself as she made her way to the green trees happily. When she reached the bottom where her footing was better she took off at a lope to the trees. Gray pelt swayed in the wind as she yipped happily bounding into the trees then rolling flopping down on the ground panting. She had been walking for so long that laying down felt like the best thing in the world. Closing her eyes and panting Sola rolled on her back in the grass.
The Common Marmoset had been dozing in the warm shade of a tree. His small body was situated on one of the lower branches, stretched out with his long tail wrapped around the wood behind him. His eyes were closed, and though he probably looked like he was completely sleeping, he was actually still quite alert. It wasn't until he suddenly heard the voice of someone that he shook himself out of his doze. He happened to look down right as the creature began rolling around on her back, and he almost gasped at the sight. As he tried to scramble up, he suddenly lost footing and slipped from the branch, falling down and landing on the ground no far from the wolf. In a hurried frenzy, he scampered as quick as he could back up the tree trunk into the safety of the leaves again. That's where he turned and looked down at her, wondering what she was doing, and also recovering from a potential heart attack.
