Stasserwert

Stasserwert trotted through the grass. She had a broken rope around her neck, it was dragging along the ground. She had a circle going all the way around her neck as well, it was bleeding and in different parts of it the rope was in the skin, the skin had grown over it when it had heeled. She looked wildly around she was tall, muscular and very gracefull.

Contessa

A slender buckskin mare slunk along through the canyon. Her steps were so light and airy that barely a sound was made as her hooves touched the rocky floor. A pair of dark brown eyes gleamed brightly in the sunlight from overhead, and the cool winds of the high canyon caused her black mane and tail to flutter, like banners streaming in the breeze. This lone mare was like a spy, on the lookout for others.
Turning a corner, her hooves finally sunk into soft grass. Black-tinted nares flared, taking in the scent of someone new. At this, she decided to investigate. Heading through the grassy section of the canyon at a quick trot, those pearly eyes landed on the source of the smell. A single eye narrowing, she released a squeal from afar and stood, waiting.

Srasserwert

Stasserwer herd the squeel. She turned and saw the other. She looked her up and down then let out a weak squeel of her own. It was obvious that her vocal cords had been damaged by the rope.

Contessa

The dun girl's dark eyes watched the other mare, a hidden gleam within them. She had just gotten here and already she was finding others. Just as long as it wasn't a human.
Soon, she brought her head back into her chest lightly, tapping her jaw against her pelt, somewhat arching her neck as she started toward the new mare. Her limbs moved into a canter, and then slowed her frame to a halt once she was a few yards away from Stasserwert. She gave her dial a bob then, auds flickering. "Who're you?" she asked first, desiring not to give her own name first. It was for, simple reasons, persay.

Stasserwert

"A name is but a word that is used to define you" was the reply of the mare, she then bent down and tugged at the rope to get it untangled from her hoof. She winced a bit when she accidently pulled to hard and pulled on the skin that had grown over the rope. She then looked at the other "and you?" she asked as if she had given her name.

Contessa

Contessa's eyes narrowed as the mare gave her reply. What? Does she think I'm stupid? she thought to herself, flicking her stringy banner in aggrivation. Then the mare asked her for her own name. She only gave a snort, pulling her dial back quickly. "I guess I can say the same thing," she stated, her voice hinted with irritation, avoiding giving away her name. She wouldn't, not until she got this other's first. Contessa was very picky about that. "So?"
The dun girl eyed the rope around the mare's neck, and she only glanced at it was a dark gleam. Humans.

Stasserwert

"Stasserwert" was her reply, "no need to get annoyed at me I was only stating a fact" she smiled, pain showed deep in her eyes.

Contessa

Contessa gave another snort when the mare finally gave a name. Now that is more like it... she thought to herself again, grunting. "And I am Contessa." she stated, her voice full of youth. She was only a 3 year old, and already had had humans chasing after her like a game of cat and mouse. Only, that wasn't a game.
Then she turned her attention back to the rope, ignoring the other words from the mare. "Humans?" she asked warily, raising an invisible brow. Black-tipped ears pricked as she asked it, not much of a question, but she outta get the idea.

Stasserwert

Stasserwert snorted and turned a bit so most of the rope was out of view "yes" she mumbled she took another step and landed on the rope, she reared slightly and snorted in pain as parts of it tore throught the overgrown skin, she bagan to bleed but ignored it and turned back to the other "nice to meet another horse that does not want to kill me" she said, almost jokingly.

Contessa

Contessa watched the mare with her narrowed eyes some more, wondering why she was acting weird about it. Humans were weaklings. If Contessa had a rope still around her neck, then she'de wear it with pride. She failed to see the skin growing over it, and simply gave a snort as the mare reared. Then she saw the blood, and wondered what was going on.
"I've escaped the humans countless times." she stated with a sigh. She had grown bored of them and their antics so long ago.
"Horses shouldn't kill horses... Unless they really intend to finish it." she declared in reply, picking a fore hoof up and then dropping it carelessly on the ground. "Where have you gotten such a rope?" she then asked, noting the blood now, and wondering if this was a fresh escapee or not.

Stasserwert

Stasserwert stared at her...."you have not delt with these humans then, they lock you in a terrible cage, tie you up and then leave you there for days, then once you are ready to collapse they drug you with this terrible stuff that makes your vision go blury, you can't think straght and then you find yourself in this huge ring with hundreds of other horses like you, drugged and crazed, and they all charge for each other" she continued talking but her voice seemed to fade.

Contessa

Contessa listened to the mare's story with some interest, though she knew that no such thing would ever happen to her. Where she came from, the humans were only interested in good riding horses or ranch horses. In their eyes, she had been like gold.
"Well, that's not like where I come from." she stated, sighing deeply. She opened her mouth then to speak more, but then something off a ways had caught her attention. A call. "Do you hear that?" she asked, becoming quite cautious and wary. She didn't even have to think to know what it was. "Sounds like human!" she squealed lightly, rearing halfway up and then stomping her fore hooves deep into the grass.

Stasserwert

Stasserwert made no move. She just watched the other, she almost wanted to be caught by a human, she wanted to be cared for.

Contessa

Contessa's eyes grew dark, cold even. She ground her teeth together, annoyed. She only stared forward, and then perked up. She wanted to check out what was going on, despite the fact that she despised humans. This was the call of a two-legged in distress. "We-- or I, should check it out," she stated, auds buried back into her mane.

Stasserwert

"the human has alredy been taken care of" Stasserwert replied. "I can hear the beats of a hooves, carying the human, a dog is following them," she said then looked at the other.

Contessa

Contessa gave an irritated snort as she heard this. She could indeed hear the hooves, smell everything. Any horse that would help a meek little human deserved to be kicked in the rear. And Contessa knew just how to do that. "Well, that horse might as well be dog chow," she stated, giving a harsh snort. How she hated those humans! Especially their annoying little young versions.

Stasserwert

Stasserwert shrugged "well they are liveing creatures" then she sighed and trotted off to get help for herself "I will see you again" she said.

Contessa

Living creatures that don't deserve to live in the first place! she yelled out in her mind, before giving her dial a jerk upward and trotting off to find something to entertain herself with.
