Penguin/Kuro/Shiro

Penguin led his nearly grown son and daughter to the Canyon, nose to the ground. The wind was only a gentle breeze blowing in his favor. It brought the scent of deer to the small group. "Keep quiet, and follow my lead." He instructed in a whisper. Kuro and Shiro nodded and crouched down.

A small group of deer was in the forest in front of them.

Penguin slowly advanced forward, followed by the younger wolves. When he found that he was close enough, he abruptly stopped. Kuro and Shiro did the same. They watched silently, planning the attack.

*Deer*

The small herd had no knowledge of the pack, but they would need to stay downwind to maintain that element of surprise.

The herd consisted of: one stag, four females and two fawns.

One female was considerably older than the rest, which was obvious as she was thinner and looked more bittle and fragile that the rest.

Moving nothing but his mouth, Penguin spoke to his children. "We will take the elderly one first. Then, if possible, we will take a younger doe." He whispered. He slowly stepped closer, staying low to the ground.

Kuro and Shiro watched both the deer and their father, following the larger wolf.

Suddenly, when they were close enough, they sprang into action. Kuro went left, while his sister went right and the father went up the middle. Shiro tried to make her way to the back in an attempt to drive the older doe up against a cliff and corner her.

Penguin launched into the air, jaws wide, aiming for the old doe's throat.
