Eli Fisher

A man walked to the Canyon still wearing an ACU. He was bleeding from the head, and clearly had a concussion, causing amnesia. Suddenly, he dropped to the ground and hollered some gibberish. He managed to spit out the words, "Get down!" He watched the nothing go past as he waited for the imagined reinforcements.

Aava

The white wolfess had been wandering around the valley, aimlessly. Her eyes were a bit wide, pupils seemingly dialated against a dark hazel backdrop. Ever since her dear mate, Vivek, had died, she had felt lost and alone. She had been wanting ravenge, yes sweet revenge. She had been all about anger and carelessness before meeting Vivek, but now here she was. Instead of the strong feeling of revenge, she was now completely emotionless, or so she'de seem. She had a ton of sadness and hatred still bottled up inside of her, just waiting to be let out...

As soon as the ex-alphess heard an unknown sound, her head shot up, auds pricking. Her daughter wasn't here, so there was no one to hold her back and keep an eye on her. She was like an unruly, wild pup. Her pelt was dirty and full of grit and muck. Her mind reeled with thoughts and images, many of the past, others of things that could have been, both good and bad.

Keeping silent, not making a single noise, she padded quickly toward the source. She would never have expected such a sight once she came upon the scene, some wierd creature laying on the ground. She could smell the faint scent of blood. No, it was getting steadily stronger in her nares. Smells and thoughts alone driving her forward, she stepped closer, fur bristling. She herself couldn't remember much either, but no, she didn't have such a thing as amnesia.
Face showing no emotions or feelings at all, she bared her glistening fangs, which were now beginning to turn yellow. Ever since she had turned this way, she hadn't spoken barely a word. Hardly at all. All that came from her was a vicious snarl, eyes now blazing. One wrong move, and he'de feel her fangs.

Eli Fisher

Eli lifted his head when he heard the snarl. "Stay back! I have a gun!" He exclaimed, holding a stick in his hands. He had recently forgotten what a wolf was and what they were capable of. To him, everything was the same now. He ran behind a rock and knelt down, aiming his 'gun' at the wolf. Pain was shooting down his spine, but in war, nobody has time to worry about a little pain.

Aava

Aava was a bit startled at the human's sudden words, as her front end almost instinctively lowered to the ground. Her fangs were bared even more now, eyes glued to those of the two-legged. She was breathing roughly now, more and more thoughts and memories flashing through her head. You killed him! the accusation was quickly confirmed. Giving out a brisk, shaken and spitty snarl, she immedietly charged the human behind the rock, avoiding the pathetic stick, as she went to leap over the top with her strong hind legs. She was a very thin, fragile-looking creature, but still hadn't lost her edge. Much of her strength was still there as well, ever since her daughter had actually "forced" her to eat.
Once she landed on the rouch surface of the rock, her head shot downward, neck popping as she did so. Her jaws saught out the creature's nearest limb, going for a direct hold. You will die, worthless being!

Eli Fisher

Eli yelled as Aava grabbed his left leg. Trying to jerk his leg away, he threw the stick behind himself and his arms launched out for her neck. If he could get a hold of her, maybe he could push her to the ground and hold her there until reinforcements arrived.

Aava

Aava snarled and gave an evil grin as she latched onto his leg, though there wasn't any time for that. She had to rid the world of the killers... Them.
Feeling a surge of anger and sharp excitement zap her, and a thick rush of adrenaline along with it, she began to viciously thrash her head back and fourth. She wanted to taste blood, flesh, feel bone crunch between her jaws... Then suddenly, every feeling washed away as the strange human hands closed around her neck. However, she was going for a firm grip, biting down harder and harder each second to sink her saw-edged fangs deeper into his leg. Pain and anger drove her still, the wanting and desire to kill something. Blood aiding her, urging her onward, she continued to go and thrash her head as hard as she possibly could. However, a good amount of force could easily, though quite painfully, cause her to slip away.

Eli Fisher

Eli could feel Aava's teeth dig into his flesh. Blood seeped from the wound as he hollered in pain. He quickly grabbed a rock and began swinging it at her head. "Help! I need help!" He called. "Enemy here!" He had no time to think, and kept swinging the rock.

Aava

Aava continued to try to bite down, harder and harder, not even thinking. At this point, she knew there was no turning back. What happened happened, but you think she cared? Certainly not. She was barely even aware of what was going on, and before she knew it, her head was stubbed by the rock. Holding back a cry and replacing it with a deadly snarl, she suddenly saw everything in black as her hold loosened and she fell off to the side.
Lying on the ground, sprawled out exactly on her side, she gave her head a few shakes once it suddenly cleared away. That was strange. Yet she didn't know what hit her, and blood was beginning to drain from the new wound. It had been a while since she had felt such physical pain. A long while. She continued to lay there, absorbed in the "new" feeling. You fool!

Eli Fisher

The man stood up when Aava fell. He groaned as the pain shot up his leg. "Medic!" He yelled, keeping an eye on the wolf. He still held the rock, in case the wolf should try anything. He had no idea about what was going on around him, only Aava was the 'bad guy' and he was the 'good guy.'

Aava

Aava was reeling in and out of conciousness. Her brain had a sharp, ringing pain. It seemed to echo in her head, and suddenly, not being able to stand it anymore, she shot up and darted up at the human, like a bullet shot out of a gun. She gave a raging snarl, everything seemingly bathed in red. She'de never stop. She would never be the same, sweet Aava as she had been with Vivek. She was far past the old, gruesome, vicious Aava she had been before then. She was worse than that, even. The only cure? Pain. But that was temporary.
Her fangs were once again aimed at that same leg, trying to latch back on again and cause him to fall. She may be quite careless and wild in her tactics, but that was the new her, the crazy her.

Eli Fisher

Eli fell when Aava's jaws latched onto his leg. His brain was no longer fully functional, and everything he did was odd. He still had his rock, so he used it as a weapon once more. He bashed it at the wolf's spine, hoping to cause enough damage so that he could get away.

Aava

The wolfess simply continued to dig her fangs in, eagerly taking a quick jerk before once again feeling a sharp pain. However, the human missed his desired mark and only hit her ribcage, though it was near the spine. That probably saved her from recieving a breakage, but the pain was intense. Finally she couldn't wait and, using all the power she mustered up, including the new searing pain in her side, she used her hind legs and launched her lithe body forward. One would think being hit by a rock would break her bone, and that she'de be out of breath by now. But looks could be decieving, and in her case, they were.
Not caring about anything else, she opened her jaws wide and then snapped them down, this time going for his neck, or else somewhere near that area. A shoulder even, maybe. Anything within reach.

Eli Fisher

"Let go, you loser!" Eli snapped just before Aava grabbed his left shoulder. He let out a horrible sound as he went down. He was ready to die now. But soldiers don't give up. He pulled a Swiss Army knife from his pocket, opened it, aimed it at the side of Aava's neck, then lunched his arm out. If everything went his way, Aava would have a serious injury on her neck and he could get away to get help from the 'medic.'

Aava & Esprit

Aava continued to chomp down on the human's shoulder, not wanting to release her hold this time. She had to get rid of this nuissance once and for all. She would have changed her attack position if only she didn't have a couple of arms blocking her.
Growls erupted from her throat, deep and quite threatening, as she pulled her head upward and away, as if wanting to tear off a chunk of flesh. Yet the next thing she knew, and felt, was another searing pain, this time greater, with some sharp edge to it. The knife missed the desired mark though, and instead had stabbed her upper shoulder. A noise, some equal cross between a yelp and a snarl, came from the fae's now opened maw, as she felt the knife cut into her own flesh. Even though it was one hit, it felt as if her shoulder was being ripped up by individual pieces of metal.

Just then, another wolf, though younger than Aava, came upon the scene in a flash of light colors. This was her daughter, Esprit, sister to Bagre and the deceased Eventine. She was in much better shape than her mother, especially from having to take care of her all the time. Maybe that was why she never had a mate before, or just because she never ventured out or really cared to meet others much. Aava needed her more than some other wolf did.
Despite being quite tired and wiped out by the time she reached the pair, her eyes widened at the sight. There her mother was going again, but this time she had gone too far. Esprit, unlike her mother nowadays, knew the dangers of humans. However, this was the very first time she had ever actually seen one before. She would have held back a bit longer to access the damage and what was going on, if only she hadn't noticed the gleaming thing sticking in her mother's shoulder.
With an enraged snarl of fury, seemingly at both attackers, she charged forward, straight at the human on the ground. She'de deal with her mother later-- she had to settle this. She had to admit, she was a bit afraid of Aava, but only because of her quite silent and various personality. She could be all calm and quiet one moment, and bloodthirsty at your throat the next. Only Esprit knew the real ways of her mother. Growling loudly, not afraid of this human at all, at least for the moment, she aimed to clamp her jaws down on an arm, particularly the one clasping the knife. Whether or not her mother started this thing, she'de really give this human a thing to remember.

Eli Fisher

Eli smiled when the knife went in. He was destroying the enemy. He did not notice the other until it was too late. Espirit's fangs went deep into the arm that was wielding the knife. He dropped it on the ground and yelled. "Get OFF!" He snapped, thinking about what he could do to get away. He was trained to be strong. He wasn't naturally strong like the wolves. He raised his left arm, groaning as his injured shoulder moved. He then balled his hand into a fist and began punching at the wolf's muzzle. If only he could find a way out...

Aava & Esprit

Aava was rolling on the ground not far from the human at all, growling in frustration and pain. Her mate had died unknowingly, along with her daughter. Thoughts of them flashed through her mind. She hadn't even gotten to say goodbye to either of them. She couldn't give up now, and fail them.
Struggling to her paws, ignoring the pain as best as she could, she gave a sharp snarl. "GET AWAY!" she then suddenly spat, voice roaring as she leapt straight at Esprit, knocking her to the side ever so slightly. Using all of her might, and becoming continuously bathed more and more in rich crimson blood, she went to snap dangerously close to the human's face, trying to snap down on his nose. She wasn't as forgetful to not know where a nose was, and she felt she couldn't live with a killer on the lose. Yes, she had known what happened to her other daughter. She had been brutally attacked by a pack of King Hounds, right on her own home turf. Then she had been found dead, missing an ear and her tail, or so Aava could remember. The doubtless doings of humans.

Esprit held back a yelp as her mother collided with her, but she didn't release her hold. At first, anyway. She could see the spit second images of the human's fist flying at her face, and then a series of harsh, pressuring thuds against her rather tender muzzle. She didn't let do at first, though her jaws loosened just a bit at every hit, until finally she had to release. Standing there, wiping at her probably bruising muzzle, her mind was suddenly focused on one thing, unaware of everything else as she did her best to fight the withering pain.

Nicole/Jake/Fox

A jeep drove over the grass and stopped a ways away from the wolves. From here, it only looked like some wolves had killed a deer. But upon closer inspection, Nicole saw that the prey was, indeed, a human. "Jake! Get out of the car!" She said before bursting the door opened. She grabbed a rifle from the back of the vehicle and stepped closer.

Jake jumped out of the jeep and grabbed a second rifle, aiming it at the wolves.

The dog stayed in the car, whining when he heard the sound of wolves.

"Wolf!" Nicole yelled, hoping the wolves would hear her and their attention would be on her and Jake instead of Eli.

Jake kept his rifle aimed on the wolves.

Eli Fisher

This time, Eli saw the attack coming and barely dodged it by moving his head to the side. His cheek was scraped by the wolf's teeth. He wasn't about to give up, though. He reached his free arm out to Aava and attempted to punch her between the eyes. Suddenly, he heard the voice of another human. It was the reinforcements! He looked in their direction. "Hey! I need a medic!" He yelled.

Aava & Esprit

Standing there, wiping at her probably bruising muzzle, her mind was suddenly focused on one thing, unaware of everything else as she did her best to fight the withering pain.

As for the new humans that showed up, Aava was uncaring of in appearance. She barely even paid them any mind, for she was too focused on attacking. Just more to add to her victims list, if she ever got done with this human first.
Esprit, on the other hand, had finally stopped rubbing against her muzzle and turned her head. Her eyes landed on the humans, two new ones, unknown as well, and she snarled. She couldn't drag her mother away without getting some type of wound. She wouldn't go down easily though, either. She stood her ground, baring her glistening fangs at the humans holding the guns. She didn't know what they were, so how was she to act? She'll be the death of me! she thought, though was once again giving attention back to the task at paw. She couldn't let her own mother down, now.

Nicole/Jake/Fox

Nicole raised her rifle, looked through the scope, and saw Aava. She then pulled the trigger. She was not usually one to kill an animal, but she would do anything to save a human.

Jake aimed at Espirit, but did not shoot. If she tried anything, that would end her life. "Go, dog!" He hollered. "Get away!"

Fox watched the battle from the safety of the jeep.

Aava & Esprit

Aava snarled, still trying to get at the human. Growling furiously, she vowed to herself that she'de kill every human she'de see. Even though one would think that she herself never thinks of anything, no second thoughts, nothing, then they don't know how wrong they are. She does think. She's quite intelligent, in a crazy way, of course.
She still wasn't paying any attention to the other humans, until she caught the sight of the gun out of the corner of her eye. That was a dangerous thing to do, shooting at a canine in such a position. She could even hit the human, which was what Aava wanted to happen. At the last minute, just before the shot wrang out, she went to move her body to the side, hoping to dodge the hit. However, the bullet dashed across the side of her underbelly, and that's when she immedietly went in for another hold on the human, this time his entire face being the target. Whether or not the bullet went to hit the human that was practically beneath her, she couldn't be sure. Who said such a wolf wasn't smart?

Esprit, fearing for her mother's life, as well as her own, released a threatening snarl at the humans when the gun went off. She didn't risk turning her head to see whether something hit Aava or not, but instead advanced a bit closer to Jake. She watched the strange stick in his hands, not quite knowing what it was. She figured it must do the same thing as the other one, and she lowered her front end in a pouncing style. She was ready to take action. You mess with Aava, you mess with Esprit.

Eli Fisher

Eli could only watch as Aava's jaws closed in on his face. He took a deep breath and then tried to roll out of the way, but it was too late. Everything was black. He passed out, incapable of defending himself anymore.

Nicole/Jake/Fox

Nicole yelled when the bullet did not hit where she wanted it to. She stepped in closer, hoping to attract Aava's attention. "Come, dog!" She yelled.

Jake watched Espirit carefully, keeping the gun aimed on her.

Fox realized that his owners were in danger. He knew that they were trying to help the mysterious man, and he jumped out of the jeep. "Stop!" He barked to Aava. "My masters only want to help the human! Back away from the man!"

Nicole looked back at Fox for a second, then looked back at Aava. "Go, Fox! Get in the car!" She yelled.

Aava & Esprit

Aava snarled, letting her hold of the human's face go as her passed out. Hah, that was easy enough. The classic hunting technique; going into for a muzzle hold to suficate the prey. However, this wasn't like a deer or anything. It was all too easy anyway.
A deadly grin slipped across her maw as she hopped off the human, and turned her attention to the other two. However, she had another thing in mind. Turning around quickly with hasty movements, she bite down onto the passed out human's pant leg, probably knicking the leg, before she began to tug the creature with all her might to the nearest section of trees. Being in the canyon, the humans couldn't access certain areas, especially on a jeep. That'll show them, a thought ran through her head, they'll have a missing human soon...
She continued to try to drag the human across the rocky ground, and toward a wide, black crevice. If she could get away with the human, then she'de make sure he didn't escape. He could be her personal pet. She grinned wickedly at the thought.

Esprit had turned her head once to look at Aava, and was a bit surprised to see the wolfess dragging the human away. She was a strong fae, especially now, despite her raggidy and thin appearance. She then looked back to the two humans before her, ready to spring for whichever would try to shoot at Aava. She gave the small dog nothing but a glance, wondering why the thing was even out here. Humans... They disgusted her.

Eli

Eli was completely unconscious as Aava dragged him away. If he was awake and didn't have a concussion, he could easily kill a small pack of wolves as long as he had a good weapon.

Nicole/Jake/Fox

Nicole began to run towards Aava and Eli, but Jake stopped her.

"Remember those people at the farm?" Jake said. "Maybe we can get them to help us."

Nicole nodded, then got into the jeep.

Jake did the same, picking up Fox and putting him into the back seat. Then, the sped away.

Aava & Esprit

Aava grinned at her fortune, and continued to drag the human away. If he ever woke up, Aava could still even then pull him along. Of course, a canine was stronger than a human, naturally. And Aava was no exception. She continued to drag him off, and changed course into the forest. She'de take him to the Pyrola Fields, the place that had once been her territory when she still had Vivek. Since then, it was under the rule of some others, but she planned on taking it back. Even if she was a bit cookoo.

Esprit watched as the humans suddenly retreated and left in the wierd moving pile of junk. Her auds went back at the strange noise of the motor, and once it disappeared in the distance, she turned and headed over to her mother quickly. "What are you doing?" she suddenly asked, petrified of what might happen.
"Shut up," Aava grumbled through clamped teeth, "START DRAGGING!" she suddenly snapped then, taking even harder, stronger tugs to drag the human. Esprit only gave a sigh, but circled around to grab onto the other pant leg. She then helped her mother, a bit hesitant, though doing as she wished.

Nicole/Jake/Fox

The jeep once again drove to the canyon. Nicole and Jake got out, looking for any signs of the person who had been attacked by wolves. "Over here!" Jake said, picking up the Swiss Army knife that Eli had dropped. Nicole ran to him and they both examined it for a while, then ran back to the jeep. They thought for a moment, then began driving.
