Flash

The black and tan brute padded along the rocky turf. A glance was cast behind his shoulder, and a small bark was emitted. Just to make sure he hadn't lost track of Tarka. Gaze once more focused on the path ahead. Flash heaved a sigh and carried on. He was fairly new here and still needed to figure out his way around, though he wished to do so without the help of another. Swiftly he leapt onto a small rocky outcrop, where he lowered himself onto his haunches. He watched the landscape unravel miles down below him. His penetrating gaze watched it stretch out for miles. Finally a rustle in the shrubs alerted him, and a sharp glance was pinned on the bush.

Tarka

The sleek feline gracefully padded after Flash up the canyon. She slithered up a tree and there she lay, hidden from sight in the shadows of it's branches, whiskers twitching with infinite curiosity. It had been three days now. Still they were out wandering aimlessly around with no sense of direction at all. They were lost, that she knew. Flash knew that too, though over his dead body would he show that. A small sigh was given when a familiar bark was heard, and she swiftly leapt down from her perch, landing neatly on all fours. Tarka made her way up to Flash and found a seat beside him. The sun reflected in her bright round eyes as it slowly started to sink behind the mountains. She leaned her small head against Flash's shoulder and sighed, purring softly with content.
