Kanan

Kanan felt the sting of his wounds as the sharp canyon winds struck him, but he payed no heed to the discomforts. Not daring to slow down or look back, the wolf just kept his legs going, until he found a narrow ridge that jutted out from the side of the canyon. It was just large enough for one canine to run on, and it was risky even at that. Feeling his head reel as he saw the perilous height he was at, Kanan sped across the narrow gap of land, hugging the side of the cliff the reared above him, who's base lay hundereds of feet below. A certain death to any that fell. He hoped that his smaller size would be an advantage here...

*Humans & Hounds* The hounds went after him though, running single file. As the wolf predicted, it wasn't long until the path grew too narrow. The leading hound misplaced his step and suddenly found all his weight shifting to the side of the cliff. He tried to recover, but it was too late. With a horrified yowling, the canine plunged off the edge and to his doom.

The second hound hesitated, knowing he wouldn't get much further at this pace. "You've escaped this time, but we've got your scent. Your time in this world will be short, mark my words." Easing along, the hound had to litterally creep his way backwards along the narrow trail, having no room to turn about. After a while, he and the humans headed away.
