Maura
Maura sat on a rock jutting out of the canyon wall. She stared off into the distance the wind ruffling ehr fur everytime it passed. She let out a sigh and then let out a howl through her jowls. She could feel her vocal cords ringing through her bones. She needed to hunt, badly. You could see her ribs, living without a pack was hard but she had toughed it out, jsut ike Black Frye would have. She would go on a hunt soon but she wished she wasn't so lonely.
Wolvern
Wolvern romped around around the canyon. He was a playful pup,but also hungry.Since he got seperated from his mother,he was in trouble.Without any hunting experience,he would have trouble finding any food at all.At the moment,he was staring down a scorpian. But then a howl echoed down the canyon area where he was.It has been so long since he was made any contact with another wolf.Wolvern decided he would find out who gave the howl.
Maura
Finished up her howl she layed down on the rock her legs hanging over the side. Her winter coat covered up most of the ribs but she didn't feel like she looked. she felt exhausted in the cold. Exhausted, tired....dead. Thats how she felt. she heard nothign else in the canyon except her breathing and the cries of eagles. this place was dead. Liker her. Dead to lowest form of dead.
Wolvern
Wolvern followed the echo of the howl until it faded. That is where his nose kicked in and picked up a scent. He followed the scent until he saw a figure in the distant.Insticts took over and he crept low to the ground. As he got closer,he could see the figure better. When he was finally at least within 7 feet,he realized it was another wolf.Wolvern was alone so long,he thought the wolf was prey. After a few seconds of hesitation,he pounced.
Maura
Feeling paws hit her back Maura instantly stood up making the pup fall to the rock she had just been laying on. she was growling as she moved to stand over Wolvern. She stopped when she noticed it was just a pup.
Wolvern
Wolvern trembled in fear of the sudden ferocity of his once prey."..I was..just hungry..And I thought you were food"Wolvern slowly tried to back up,but fell off the rock.He was on his back but didn't dare to move, thinking if he did he was good as dead."I am sorry..Please don't hurt me..Me too little to die"
Maura
With a sigh opened her maw her white fangs glinting in the light and closed them around wolverns soft pup belly. She closed them gently as she lifted him up and got off the rock back to a safer part of the canyon where she put him down. "I'm hungry myself...but I won't eat you. You don't have enough meat on your bones to even be a satisfying meal."
Wolvern
"Do you know where food is?I havent eaten in awhile"Wolvern looked across the canyon, scanning every area for any sign of a decent meal.Nothing was around but the two wolves.Wolvern laid down and rolled on his belly. It was growling loudly."I dont think I can go on another day with no energy"
