Blackout
He was not amused that storm came this was his job. It would be him that talks with the pack not storm. And if storm didn't let him do his job then there be issues. When he got to the boarder he sent up a howl calling for the alphas.
Stormrunner & Lepiota
Stormrunner felt his fur begin to bristle as they reached the border, having picked up on the faint hint of blood and musk of man lingering in the now still air. "Be on your paws, brother." He murmured after Blackout sent the call forth. His auds were up and his plume held aloft, but there was tension in his stance that he couldn't quite shake.
For many long minutes, the brothers would have to wait there, receiving no returning howls from the territory's leaders. All was silent - even the birds had ceased their singing, and the squirrels hid quietly in the trees. Stormrunner was about to suggest they call again when a rustling caught his attention and his eyes shot for a small stand of thistles.
Out stepped a grizzled wolf with a bright white underside and piercing almond eyes accented by a patch of cream fur above each one. Her half-pink nose immediately sparked recognition in Storm's mind; not from having ever met this wolfess, but from the description Waterlily had given. But what really caught his attention was the crimson that stained the side of the fae's head, and the way one ear hung down at an unnatural angle. Dried blood was smeared about her muzzle and throat, and Stormrunner couldn't tell if it was hers or if it belonged to someone else.
"What do you want?" The ice in the female's voice caught Storm off guard, and as his watchful eyes searched her, he could read nothing but aggression from this stranger.
Blackout
His tail was stiff especially when the female came forth. His ears flick **I am blackout beta of Aspen Grove and this is my brother stormrunner. We come in peace**
Stormrunner & Lepiota
With his tail held aloft to clarify his own position, Stormrunner tacted on, "We are sons of Starscream and Tayzeka, who-"
"I don't care what position you hold or who your parents are." Lepiota returned coldly, cutting Stormrunner off and darting a frigid glare to Blackout, "Your 'peace' means nothing when half my pack is gone and humans prowl the forests." Her tail, previously held down, now flashed upward and held firmly in a dominant posture. She offered no name, only a curt demand, "Leave."
Blackout
He stayed still. **We can help you. Don't turn us away in a time of need let us help you and what is left** he said calmly
Stormrunner & Lepiota
Blackout's stoic response and generous offer were roundly rebuked by Lepiota, who offered no such courtesies back. The fur along her nape began to stand up in forewarning, "Unless you can bring my parents back, then you can't help. And if you don't leave now, I'll send you to meet them."
Stormrunner's heart skipped a beat. He wasn't close enough to catch her scent and confirm it, but he strongly suspected this was their niece, and if that were so... Arora was her mother, and she had been killed by the hunters. More immediately pressing than that though was this female's behavior, and in response to her threat, Storm took a side-step to put himself closer to Blackout, "We don't want any trouble."
Blackout
His ears went back **if you change your mind you are welcome to stop by Aspen just ask for myself or storm, I am sorry** he said before turning to leave
Stormrunner, Lepiota, Ataji, & Denver
In the face of Blackout's calm temperament, Lepiota remained rigidly aggressive and unswayed in her resolve to label these two as enemies, "I hold little value for words. It's actions that tell me what a wolf is made of."
From behind her, another pair of eyes appeared from the dying thistles. A black-coated wolf could just be seen, and below him, the softer eyes that belonged to a small dog.
Stormrunner was at a loss for words at first. Did this wolfess really have the audacity to blame them for the death of her parents? It seemed absurd to the alpha, but here they were, being chased off the land by this fae and what remained of her pack. Taking note of the two additional faces, Stormrunner turned with Blackout to leave the territory. He wanted to stay and ask questions, but Black had the right idea - it was best to leave now, than stay and risk an actual fight with these strangers.
