windsong

The ivory brute steadily traveled to the heartland of his terra, laying down in the soft green grass, resting his head against the cool ground. So much had happened. Who knew humans had set traps? Eragorn had lost a paw, that poor pup, and it was a sorry sight. Now Avara had nearly lost her leg to one and Kismet had lost a good patch of fur off of her tail. What worse could come from this? Windsong was exhausted, and fatigue took its toll on the relatively young wolf. Windsong was four-years-old, and still growing older. Sooner or later, this territory would become his children's terra, and so on until finally they all died out. Windsong knew death was nearing him, not soon but in the future. Windsong still had a broken heart, and it was seemingly unmendable. Tahti had changed him, and now she left him in this half-changed state.

Aphrodite and Eragorn

Aphrodite took to staying close to her child not wanting him to get any more injured. He couldn't help in hunts because of his defect now it would be too dangerous. She padded over to windsong and laid down beside im withiout a word.

Eragorn limped following his mother. He whimpered to his father.

Vorax followed as well. Vorax who didn't loose his paw had no fur around where his had been caught and it didn't seem to be coming back.

windsong

Windsong looked up at Aphrodite, the sadness inside of him welded up. He knew he had 'feelings' towards Aphrodite, but he had been preventing this from happening. Windsong feared that once he put all trust and love into Aphrodite, like he had Tahti, she would just end up dying. Windsong shook, looking at Eragorn with softness. "Vorax, Eragorn, will you go play so I may speak to your mother...?" Windsong asked, also shuffling Emerald, Vortex and Granite away. Windsong sat up, looking at Aphrodite before holding back a sob. Maybe Aphrodite was righ, Tahti wouldn't want him to linger in depression forever...she would want him to move on, and to continue to be strong as he was months before.

Aphrodite

Eragorn and vo moved off but not too far.

Aphrodite looked up at windsong curious to what he wished to speak of. She loved him yes but she never pushed him.

windsong

Windsong looked at Aphrodite bashfully, sighing softly and collecting the strength inside of him. "Aphrodite...I will never stop loving Tahti....but," Windsong stopped trying to hold back at what he was saying. To bad, Windsong, ya already started. Windsong wanted to just turn a run, but he forced himself down. "I think I, well, lo-ve you."

Aphrodite

She watched him and listened.Yes, And don't you stop loving herShe spoke softly and then watched him. She licked his muzzle to encourage him.Well if it helps any I love youShe spoke.

windsong

Windsong smiled softly, knowing Aphrodite understood him all too perfectly. "Aphrodite, I can't thank you enough. Very few females allow the males they love to still love another female who has passed away," Windsong spoke briefly, nuzzling Aphrodite and smiling weakly. He laid back down behind Aphrodite so she rested against him. Windsong then thought of Isabel and the others. "I don't know how Isabel and the others will react, and they might be rigid on your ancestory because...well ya know..."

Isabel

Isabel was sitting under a bush, listening to her father speak. She had never gotten over the death of her mother. And now this?

Her eyes popped open when the conversation went where Isabel feared. She stood up, tears in her eyes, feeling a mixture of sorrow, confusion and fury. "Dad, no! They killed Mom! Don't do it!" She cried. There was no way Aphrodite was going to be her step-mother. And she wasn't going to have a descendant of Kalaber as her alpha female.

Windsong

Windsong stood up, looking at Isabel with a whirl of fear and sadness. Windsong gulped, advancing towards his daughter before stopping to contain his sorrow. "Isabel, please," Windsong murmured, looking up at his daughter. A image of Tahti flashed threw his mind, and he caught a lump in his throat.

Summit and Bria came forward, quickly realizing what was happening. Summit shut his jaws, looking away and sighing. But Bria spoke up, "Dad, why? What about mom? Don't you love her?"

Vale was next, with Arson and Swift from Tahti and Windsong's final litter. "He still loves mom, Izzy! Don't let him live in the shadow of mom's death, its good he moved on!" Vale snapped, defending her father quickly.

Aphrodite

She sighed and listened. She looked to the sky and then to the young ones.Isabelle im not gonna ask you to accept me, I know that its hard to see him move on. But shouldn't everone be happy? Vale is right, He still loves Tahti and i will not stop him from doing so. She spoke trying to keep things calm. But she she feared she would say someting wrong. So she didn't say anything more. She wouldn't act as an alpha. But she wouldn't allow others to push her around either.

Aphrodite

She listened calmly and dipped her head..I'll take anything they dish out windsong. I'm not small anymoreShe smiled.

windsong

Windsong pulled his ears back, blinking rapidly. "I know, I know...I'm being a bit judgemental. I'm sure they'll approve of it. If they love me, they'll understand," Windsong replied softly, touching his muzzle to Aphrodite's forehead and closing his eyes.

Isabel

Isabel was sobbing now. "Dad, they killed my mother! They killed your mate! And now you love the beast who took so much from us!" She howled.

Rowan stood beside Isabel, feeling nothing but anger. He growled at Vale. "He's moved onto traitors, hypocrites and serial killers. How is that good?" He snarled.

Aphrodite

She took the words and listened and sighed. She shook her head. One day you will have to understand reality. What has been done is done it can't be reversed and I have killed none. You should judge people because of who they are related to. But treat me how you want I will take it and I will not be devoured by itShe spoke softly standing next to windsong. Her tail low.

Windsong

Broken Heart One More Time
Pick Yourself Up Why Even Cry
Broken Pieces In Your Hand
Wonder How You'll Make It Whole

Windsong shook his head, looking and Isabel, Bria and Rowan. His chest felt heavy as he found a lose of words, or maybe just a lose of things to argue about. Windsong quivered, his vision felt blurred as he pivoted and turned. Windsong wasn't going to stop running. He just needed to think on his own. Windsong ran threw the brush and was heading somewhere outside of the territory.

Summit shook his head, sighing. Bria snarled at Aphrodite, hackles raised. "You know nothing of reality! You never lost your mother, she's still alive!" Bria howled, her eyes blazed as she spoke.

"Isabel! Bria! What are you doing? Can't you see your making matters worse for dad?" Vale growled defensively, her fur sleek against her spin. Vale's head was held low and a growl was emitted from her throat. Vale had always loved her father, and even if the barren spot of Tahti still was in her heart, Vale was more understanding.

Arson spoke up, "I've never seen dad cry before..."

Aphrodite

She shook her head.I had still lost family Bria.I know reality and I hate it. It takes our loved ones from us and we can't do nothing to stop it!She spoke.Be mad, but let your father be happyShe spoke before walking off. She would let wind have his own time. He knew this could happen but she would let him be alone.

Isabel

Isabel snarled viciously at Aphrodite. "You lost your family because of the pointless war Kalaber started! We lost family because of you. You and your filthy pack!" She yelled furiously. "We can stop it. I know we can stop it! You know how? We can take out those responsible for so many deaths. We can take out Kalaber!"

Rowan growled at Vale. "Shut up, sis. Aphrodite is a spawn of Kalaber. She's evil. She's filthy. She's a single-minded killer. We're only protecting Dad from the ones who took so much from us."

Aphrodite

She snorted and just shook her head.Kalaber won't is an allie to the haunters now if you haven't heard. so attacking him you'll be going against the Shadow Haunters and he didn't start the war anywaysShe spoke before running off after windsong.

Vale

"What are you doing? You made dad run off, and cry! You guys are cold, really really cold! Whould mom want you to be so cold-hearted and vicious!" Vale snapped, her hackles raised as she glared at Rowan with viciousness. Her sides heaved as anger coursed in her veins. She turned, rushing off to the edges of the territory.

Bria snarled, "We can't fight Kalaber, Isabel. As much as I despise and hate him, we would be shattering the reastablished neutralism."

Isabel

Isabel growled at her sister. "Mother would want me to stand up for Father. In case you don't remember, Mother hates Kalaber's pathetic pack more than anything. And now Father is in love with one of the murderers. How do you think Mother would feel?" She snapped.

Rowan snarled at Aphrodite, baring his fangs. "Yes, he called Risen out, you ditz." He said spitefully. "And I don't give a damn if Kalaber is allies with the Haunters. He's still a cold-blooded killer. He deserves to die."

Aphrodite

She laughed and just shook her head.He isn't cold blooded, He only kills when his family is in danger! Now go get over yourselvesShe ran off before they could say another thing to her.

Isabel

Isabel growled at Aphrodite's laughter. "It's not funny. What about Liekki? Mother told me about him. Her first son. Kalaber broke his legs, held him hostage and tried to kill him. And he surely would have if it wasn't for a little fox. Yeah, I know that story, so you ca just shut your mouth." She shot back angrily. Then she had a plan. "I'm gonna tell the Lurkers that Kalaber is with the Haunters now. And you can't stop me!"

Aph

she turned around. You tell them i tell your father! She spoke.Glaring.But do it cause the Haunters will aide him if the lurkers attack. The lurkers pushed him into it anyways
