TAHTI
Tahti led her new friend back home. Feeling somewhat exhausted after that journey, being a pregnant mother and all, she sat down. She dropped her emerald onto her paws and looked down at it before smiling at Kipcha.
"This is it, this is my home." She said contently, glancing around the area. "The pack should be around here somewhere." She didn't want to overwhelm the maned wolf, so didn't call the whole pack just yet. There was one, though, that she felt Kipcha should meet. "Windsong?" She called out. Her soft voice rang through the cold air loud and clear.

Kipcha couldn't believe how fortunate she had become. Just a few years ago she had been alone and hungry, green to the ways of the wild, and her luck didn't much improve as she grew older.
Now, she had been offered to live in an actual territory with other canines. She hadn't much practice for social skills, but as she entered, her slender head slowly inclined so it was below her shoulders. Tail tucked cautiously between her hinds, and the foreboding sense of danger lingered softly in her thoughts. This wasn't very sensible, Kipcha, she chided herself. Deep down she knew she had no reason to fear Tahti or her intentions.
Once Tahti had circled and settled down upon her swolllen belly, Kipcha took a chance to look around. The land was gorgeous. She couldn't remember seeing such lush country side since she had first stepped out from her mother's den those years ago. Her large auds perked up a bit as she honed in on the sounds of the territory. Snow seemed a bit scarce here, but there were mounds of it here and there. Still paranoid, Kipcha didn't settle down. Instead she kept on her feet and listened to Tahti, eyes still scanning over the Downs.
"This place is beautiful." Kipcha lifted her head a tad and sniffed at the chilly winds. The pack was definately around. Glancing down at Tahti, Kipcha cleared her throat. "Is your pack solely Varg? I mean, is it just those like you? Or are there some like...well, me?" The young female didn't doubt that the pack was mostly canids, but she was curious as to the question of was she the only wolf?
---------- Age: Three Years
Gender: Female
Species: Wolf
Breed: Maned Wolf
Appearance: Reddish brown body, black muzzle & socks, white plumed tail
Personality: Quiet, reserved, observant, agile, intelligent, cautious
History: She was believed to be a mute since the day she was born. Always the quietest cub, Kipcha never made an unnecessary sound. She played with her brother like a normal cub, but she'd rather go off and explore and observe whatever she could find. It so happens that on one of those explorations she was separated from her mother. Too far from earshot of her mother's yelps, and too unconcerned to call out, Kipcha wandered farther and farther from the den. She never found her mother again but luckily, Maned Wolves are solitary by nature except within season. She learned enough on her own to stay fit and gave up on finding her mother or brother.
Other: Acute hearing, very quick
TAHTI
Tahti remained content, smiling at Kipcha. "Yes, it's lovely, isn't it?" she replied softly.
The younger canine's question didn't surprise her. It was only natural that she would be curious. "I'm afraid that you are the only canine of your type for now, dear. But we accept everybody, even non-canines. We all live in harmony here because there is no harmony elsewhere." She paused, taking a breath. "Our pack is rapidly growing; do not be sorrowful, there is a good chance that you will find another like yourself."
She stood up, glancing around before looking back at Kipcha. "Would you like to meet the pack?" She asked.
Windsong
The ivory brute slowly bounded from his perch on a small boulder, looking where the pack chatted and relaxed under the winter sun. Leaping into the feet of snow, the 3'6" foot brute trotted towards where his mate called. A foreign scent filled his nostrils, sending pricks of happiness. The Refudgees had another member. Windsong climbed up a drift of snow, seeing the flame-red fae beside his pregnant mate.
A small smile crept upon his broad face, he walked up, head held high with pride. "Welcome Pack, Tahti." Windsong nuzzled his mate tenderly, her sweet scent calmed him. "I see you have a friend..." Windsong looked at the Maned Wolf, nodding respectively. "I am Windsong, Tahti's mate."

Tahti confirmed the young wolf's fears. She would be the only wolf here, which wouldn't have been so bad if she had the basic inclinations of how to behave around a pack. Woe is Kipcha who lacks necessary pack skills.
Warm eyes looked over Tahti, settling on the coyote's equally sweet ones. It was true; the world was large, the canines plentiful, but Kipcha didn't look forward to foraging around for a companion. She'd have to make due with what luck had brought her, and for that, she wasn't the least disappointed.
Kipcha decided she didn't really have a choice as to whether she was going to meet the pack or not. It was bound to happen sooner or later, obviously, as she now resided in the territory. Taking a deep breath, she nodded bravely. However, without time to exhale, she saw movement to her right, and when she snapped her head to that direction, it look as if a mound of snow was approaching her. Blinking rapidly to focus her eyesight, she realized it a wolf, like her, just structured differently. He moved towards them with head upright in authority and pride...and love. Glancing at Tahti, Kipcha realized it was the Alpha.
Confusion streaked across the fae's mind. Did Tahti fail to remember that her own mate was a canid like Kipcha? Or was the love so deep that neither noticed the differences any longer? Eyeing Tahti's small, lean coyote body and then the bleached wolf's, she was surprised. Now, as a wolf herself, Kipcha was, in a sense, comforted, but anyone that looked at her figured that, well, she was a fox on stilts. Her masked face and black socks did look similar to the pedigree of her close cousins, yes, but her size was that of the highest. The wolf.
And despite all this, as the male approached, Kipcha respectively fluxed her ears and tail down, and kept her body rigid. His words are warm and welcoming enough, she mused. "Hello Windsong. I am Kipcha. Your lovely mate was gracious enough to invite me for a visit after our meeting out in the Canyon. I must say, this place is beautiful."
TAHTI
Tahti smiled at her mate, but she didn't have time to say her words. She felt a pain in her stomach. She had birthed pups countless times and knew that she was about to give birth. "It's time, Windsong." She said with a smile. She bowed to Kipcha before walking off.
A good distance away, the coyote gave birth to five pups, leaving Windsong to introduce Kipcha to the pack.
Windsong
Windsong looked at alarmed, but nodded. Never before had he been with Tahti's pack when she birthed. He'd always gone off to do his bidings. Now he was a real father. Windsong was proud. Remembering the new member, he snorted at himself. Windsong turned to Kipcha, smiling.
"Come, Miss Kipcha, come and meet our pack." Windsong beckoned.
