Vevisca

Heading away from his territory, Vevisca was in a sour mood. No one had followed him to the Game Trails, although most of the pack had indeed replied to his hunting invitation. Oh well, he'd find some food on his own. He was a bit worried about his pups and mate, but he wanted to get them food first.

*Moose*

A bull moose was feeding in the lakes shallows he didn't know the wolf was near.

Vevisca

He stopped dead in his tracks, spotting the moose in the shallows. He studdied the large creature with his good eye as his nostrils flared to take in the creature's scents. Vevisca knew it was a long shot, and a dangerous one at that, to attack alone. But he was hungry and wanted to provide for his family.

Vevisca stole into the brush and tried to pad quietly closer to the moose. He devised a plan, but wasn't sure if it would work. The moose could outrun him, and kill him with a single blow, so Vevisca planned to try and scare the beast into deeper water, where he might have a chance to take him on. With a sudden bust of energy, the wolf plunged out of hiding and raced towards the moose, snarling and howling, trying to scare him into deeper water.

*Moose*

The moose saw him and wandered was he alone or was this a plan? He decided to make a break for it he charged towards the shore and took off running away from the wolf.

Vevisca

Vevisca stayed clear of the hooves and snarled bitterly as his first attempt failed. Now he doubted he'd be having this moose for lunch, but he'd try still. Maybe the moose had a weakness of sorts? Maybe not. But Vevisca wasn't just going to give up without trying.

Breaking into a strong run, he chased after the bull, daring to get as close as he could while staying back from the hooves. Still he snarled and growled to try and bring fear to the bull. He watched carefully for any signs of weakness.

*Moose*

The moose turned and kicked at the wolf hoping to drive him away. Although he wasn't looking where he was going and stumbled on a log breaking his leg. He was enable to get up. His horns and hooves could still injure or kill the wolf though.

Vevisca

Vevisca circled wide around the moose, his eyes lit intensely with huner. What fortune! The wolf circled again before howling loudly, wondering if any of his pack mates were around to help. Then he sprung for the moose's haunch first, trying to tear as deeply as he could into the flesh there.

*Moose*

The moose grunted in pain as the wolf tore into his haunch blood leaked from the wound. He lashed out with a leg hoping to hurt him at the least.

Vevisca

Vevisca sprung aside, knowing perfectly well what damage a hoof can do. He had nearly be trambled and gorged by a herd of red deer when he tried to hunt them! Even now, he wasn't quite quick enough, and the hoof grazed his side. Yelping, he fell, but was up in an instant. Growling angrily at his mistake, the wolf launched his next attack, going for the moose's nose.
