*Human & Dog*
Sitting perched on along the bank, a man was fishing. His tackle box and a bucket of minnows were set next to him, and he had a line cast out into the water. And hooked to a short line next to shore were three large previously caught bass, all struggling to get free from the thick line that ran from their mouths and held them fas.
An old dog lay beside the log. A mix breed blood hound of sorts.
Vicious
He caught the scent of the human. Lowering his scared head he looked around for the human. But the scent of fish soon caught up with the humans smell. Turning his head he now looked at the lake. Pupil shivered within it's yellow blanket.
He began to trot up slowly to the human, but another scent flushed his nose. It was a dog, and not just a normal dog, it had the lines of a blood hound. Over the years he learned that those dogs were the best at smell. But it seemed old. So would it be able to smell him in it's prime age? Slowly he crept closer and closer. Waiting for the dog to go off at any minute. Hiding his brownish coat in the long grass. He was out of human site, but the hound, if young enough, would surely smell him.
If the dog barks he freezes, if the dog comes after him, he will run into the tree's. Trying to lead the dog to him. But if the dog is too old to smell him come close, he will pounce at the humans neck.
*Human & Dog*
If he had been a few years younger, the aged hound would have scented the Legendary much sooner. But as it was, his sniffer wasn't up to parr anymore. Still, the dominant blood-hound breed that ran through his veins gave him a more acute sense of smell, even for his age. Lifting his head up so that his floppy ears hung down against his wrinkled face, the dog gave a few, deep, drawn-out barks. But Viscious had froze in his spot, giving the dog nothing to spy in the dense vegetation.
The man looked back, distracted by his hound's barks. "What is it, Baker? Smell a coon?" But his dog barked at many things, so the man was not too concerned. He turned back to his fishing.
The dog stood up on old, worn joints. His lanky, ruddy-colored tail stook up and went ridged. Another bellowing bark was issued before he headed after the wolf's trail, trying to nose out the predator...
Vicious
Vicious stayed still. His tail was down and his hairs were on end. He was accually frightened by the dog. He was more concerned if the human had a weapon of some sort. He swung his tail once to make a sound to the grass rustling. Trying to make the human think he was a rabbit of some sort that had just ran by. He made a low growl. too low for the human to hear. But just enough for the dog, if able to, hear. "Here, doggie doggie doggie". His fangs were now at the front of his lips. Still he kept still from the human. And his tail no longer wagged for attention.
If the dog comes after him, he will run into the woods through the thick grass. Trying to keep low from the human. If the dog doesn't hear him, he will wag his tail once every great while until he has his attention. yes, he is trying to lure the dog away.
*Human & Dog*
The man glanced back, hearing the noises of something moving around. "Quite boy, you'll scare the fish away." He said before his attention faded back to his fishing. The line had gone taunt and the bobber had submerged. Eagerly, the man yanked back the line and felt he had a fish. Now he began to reel it in excitedly, loosing all interest in what his dog had heard. He himself thought it was a rabbit or something of the sort.
The dog barked all the more loudly, after pausing once when he owner spoke sharply to him. "I'm comin' all right." He bayed back, his voice deep and old. Running stiffly on his old joints, the hound mix entered the thick brush and began to trail Vicious, sniffing and dragging his floppy ears across the ground. His long, thick muzzle was tinted with white hairs.
Vicious
He smiled now that the dog was on his trail. Quickly he turned and began to canter quietly into the thicker brush. Until he was ontop of a hill. Looking down at the human who was reeling in the fish, then to the dog who was comming after him. He turned and continued down the other side of the hill. Trying to get out of the site of the human. At the bottom of the other side of the hill, he waited for the hound to come to him. This time he showed himself. His fur was now on end and his hair was up. His single eye stayed fixed on the dog. Ears pearked for the dog and to hear if the human was following. If the human did follow, he would surely hide before he was spotted. But until then he continued to silently call the mutt. His voice was low and eerie. Growing throughout his whole sentence. "HHEERREE DOOOOGGIEE DOOOOOGGIEE DOOOOOGIEE." His noise rumbled as a long now louder snarl came up. But still, to low for a human to hear.
*Hound*
He thundered on throught the brush, following Vicious over the hill and out of sight and easy hearing of his master. As he came to the bottom of the hill, he spotted the wolf at last and gave a loud set of bays, "Here I am!" But now, the dog was at a sort of loss. Just what did he plan to do once he caught up with the wolf? Well, he hadn't thought of that...
The hound took a few steps closer to the lupine, raising his short-furred tail high and ridged. The bases of his floppy ears were perked up and his old, slightly clouded eyes stared right at Vicious.
Vicious
He smiled at the dog. The quickly dashed to him. Though he did a good fake front attack. Instead of attacking him from the front, he jumped to the side, and back. Jumping to land on the dogs back. And being 200Ibs was a good advantage at putting the dog to the ground. His teeth lurched at the hounds face. Though if hound attacked back he would quickly evade and do two more fakes then an attack. Then three fakes/ attack, 1 fake, attack/ Three fakes, attack. Just to not repeat his attacking order.
*Hound*
A raspy snarl hedged from the hound's shaggy throat as he saw Vicious's sinister intent. But this old hound was not one for fighting wolves; and even if he was, his old age was a terrible hinderance. Wide jaws, with their yellow, worn teeth, clamped down on air as the wolf made a dash forward. A second clank of teeth was heard as the hound snapped to the side, but all too slow. His poor joints couldn't keep up with what his body comanded, and with the speed of a wolf.
With a hoarse cry, the hound collapsed. He was only pushing 90 pounds, and much of that wasn't muscle mass. Kicking and scratching feelbly at the ground, he tried to get up, but in vain. His snapped left and right, trying frantically for any hold on the attacker that he could get. But as he did this, his own face was being torn at by Vicious.
Vicious
He smiled and jumped to one side of the hounds face. Teeth meaning to scratch it to get the hound to pay attention to that side. As he teethed at him, he jumped over and quickly turned. His fangs lunging up and to the hounds throat. trying to finish him quickly enough so that he could get back to the human.
*Hound*
The hound picked himself up in a scramble, flashing his fangs towards the side and trying to snap back at Vicious. The hairs along his spine were raised high in agression. Now the hound tried to turn with the wolf, to meet him fang for fang. But again, his old age was crippling. Fangs found the throat, wrapped in the shaggy, loose skin. With a siffled yelp, the dog pulled back, feeling the canines sink deep into his flesh. It was too late. To much damage was done in the single throat-bite. The old hound sunk quickly to the ground and his life-blood slipped from his body. He'd be dead shortly.
Meanwhile, the human had just reeled in a large pike and got him strung up on the bank line with the other helpless fish. The pike fought and thrashed in the shallow water, but could not get free of the thick line that ran through his bottom jaw. The human was fitting a large lure that had two sets of three-pronged hooks on it.
Vicious
He stared at the dog, pressing his fangs harder then letting go when he knew the dog would not survive. Single eye shifted and he trotted up the hill. Looking down at the human. He smiled, then quickly dashed for the humans body, When the human was fitting his line he jumped and aimed his jaws for his neck. Large body would crash down on the human if the man did not move.
*Human*
The man, even in his old age, somehow detected the sounds of the attacker's movements. He turned just as Vicious leapt. Unable to move quick enough though, he was slammed into and fell to the ground, halfway into the shallows of the shore water. His sudden turn and movement caused the wolf's aim to be off, however. Jaws closed around the back portion of the head. The bones there were thinner than those in the front, but were too wide for Vicious to easily crush.
Vicious
He felt himself fall into the waters, Quickly he pushed the humans face down into the water, half trying to drown him. half trying to regan his grip. Teeth quickly jerked up and back down on the humans neck. Trying to brake the mans life in.
*Humans*
The man floundered and tried to push himself up; but like his dog, being in the latter years didn't help much with strength. Coughing and sputtering against the water, he fought to bring his head up. But all at once, that didn't matter anymore. The body fell lifeless back to the ground, half consumed in the lapping waves that began to stain red. His neck was broken.
Nearby the several captured fish struggled and thrashed in the water, each one caught up by their mouths in an agonizing fashion. And, oh!: there were most certainly nerves in a fish's mouth, for the same reason human's had them. And now it caused them a great deal of agony to have a large hole and sting punched through their cartilliage and flesh! But struggle all they might, they weren't going anywhere.
Vicious
He looked to the fish. his stomach grumbling, then he walked up and took one by the tail. Ripping it off the hook and eating it. Then walked away, why should he care for fish?
