Sinner

Noon crept about the lake as the dun mare trotted lightly to the lake. She had just found her way into these lands and already had taken a liking to the abundance of food ant water. In the light her pelt gleamed a startling gold which was a characteristic of her breed and showed her pure blood.

She gave a flick of her long tail as she paused before the lake and drank deeply from the water. Raising her head she turned her gaze about letting her ears raise to their zenith as she pranced away from the waters edge and stared about curiously taking in the sites of this new part of the world.

She had been running with little water for just over a week now but she was still full of stamina just as could be said to all of her breed who did the same. Here was a place she intended to rest for a wile and eat her fill. She had finally found a place with abundant food and water making her please with her choice of places.

She bent her head and nibbled lightly at the shoots of grass relaxed and at ease being near a good water source helped her to be at peace and the fact tender grass grew here solidified her choice to roam near here for the time being.

Uniquess

The Marwari mare had escaped a little over a month ago from a horse show. She was only two years old now, but had learned a lot in her month of new freedom. She had scented horses at the Ranch and around other human places, but always shied away in fear of getting captured again. Loneliness was taking a tole on her spirits, so when she chanced to see Sinner, the mare got quite excited.

She stood and gave a short neigh, trying to catch the other's attention. Her strange ears were perked up, but curved inward quite a bit, as they did with her breed. Her coat was dark brown with patches of white. A few scars here and there were the signs of her learning survival out in the wild.

Sinner

Golden ears perked as the female turned about on her heals and snorted. Her deep brown eyes stared lightly at the other female taking her in for a moment. She eyed her thoughtfully not having seen another horse in many days. Finally she pranced over sniffing at the mare from a safe distance trying to decide how to react. Finally she spoke in a softly accented voice.

"Ello miss I am Sinner who are you?" she asked lightly stopping her prancing and stood eyeing the other female thoughtfully. It was nice to see another mare and like any other horse she loved companionship.

Uniquess

She arched her neck a bit and flared her nostrils to take in the other's scent as well. "Nice to meet you, Sinner. I'm Uniquess. Or that's what the humans use to call me." She responded, taking a few steps closer and swishing her tail once. Her oddly curved ears perked at the sound of Sinner's voice, happy to be hearing another one speak.

"Do you belong to a herd?" Uniquess asked next, for she was wanting to find one of her own to join.

Sinner

Sinner nodded watching the mare advance and held her ground eyeing her thoughtfully. "I belong to no herd I just recently stumbled upon these lands. It is nice to know other equines exist though I would hate to be alone my entire existence." She said softly

Her auds flickered about as she took in her surroundings. "Do you have a herd then?"

Uniquess

The mare shook her head, dropping her eyes for a moment, "No, I'm afraid I don't either. I've been on my own for a while now. But I do agree, it's nice to meet another!" Uniquess tossed her head up, a light of interest shining in her dark orbs, "Say, wanna search for a herd to join? I've picked up on scents of wild horses here and there, but I've yet to meet one. Surely, there's got to be a herd or two around."

Sinner

Sinner gave a small nod of her supple head and glanced about in thought. Her nares flared and she took in the distant sent of old passing but nothing fresh enough to be called recent. Her flutes gave a twitch as she listened hard for the sound of distant calls or hooves but nothing came.

"Where do you propose we search...? I don't think we will be finding a herd here." She said softly turning her gaze back to the other mare thoughtfully. "I don't think many horses pass through this land."

Uniquess

Happy that her new friend agreed, Uniquess tilted her head in thought. "Well...." She pondered at length, trying to remember where she had came across the most scents of fellow equines. "The Prairie, I think, would be a good place. Shall we try it? At least it will give us a good vantage point to see and hear others. The land is rather flat."
