The hunter walked in and looked around at the lake, it looked familiar but he hadn’t known when he had ever seen it before. Sniffing the ground with one ear forward and the other back, he searching for a sound or smell that indicated something was around, something that could be killed to be eaten.
*Mule Deer*
A group of Mule deer were gathered around towards a secluded end of the lake, and their scent as come to you although they are quite a ways off. There was one buck and four does. Three of the four were pregnant while one was too young to be.
One doe had a broken leg she received only recently.

The hunter smelt the deer, he sneered, then trotted forwards, he stopped when he reached the group, he was careful not to step on any twigs. After scouting the herd with his orbs, watching each of them. The doe with the broken leg, he watched her movements, once she was a little ways away from the group, he started to run, slow at first, keeping low to the ground, when he was almost there, he ran fast body not as low as before, he leapt at her, if he had done it any later he would have crashed into her, he went for the shoulder that led down to the broken leg. Maw open fangs dripping with saliva, his hunger taking over him, he became a beast, driven by blood.
*Mule Deer*
The deer were already tired from the attack by a previous attack, and while their guard was up, their energy certainly wasn't. The wounded doe tried to spring out of the way, but her broken leg wouldn't allow such a swift movement. With a bleating cry, she crashed into the ground as the wolf leapt at her; she didn't have the strength to withstand such force. And she was pregnant, so further burdened by weight. She kicked desperately with her hind legs, trying to get back up. The fact that her front leg was broken might have saved Manov from being kicked by the dangerous hoof.
The rest of the deer, although tired, began to run at their full speed.
Manov
When he had the deer on the ground, he put his front paw on its shoulder and tore at it, then quickly jumped to it neck, aiming for the jugular vein he bite down hard. While he was making his moves, his hind knee was hit by one of its back hooves.
*Mule Deer*
The doe continued to struggle, but the wounds to her shoulder and neck were lethal. Not only had he managed to sever her jugular vein, but also a major artery in her shoulder. It wasn't long before she died.
Manov
The hunter got a good grip on the doe and dragged it out, back to his home.
