Dathan
The brute pawed his way in, tongue lolling out of his mouth, a wolfish grin set 'pon his handsome, almost childish features. He was becoming older in age, nearing three seasons, but his satmina and resilency was amazingly high.
His eyes danced and sparkled as he neared the water, sniffing first for signs of possible danger; then, carelessly he leapt into the shallow end. He paddled around momentarily, enjoying the cool rush of water enclosing around him, then swam back to the shoore, shaking off briskly. Standing alone he bent to lap up some of the life-giving water, dropletts glistening on his shaggy coat. His muzzle was decked with a black area surrounding his right eye, which gave him a most childish look. But inside his persona was that of a gentleman.
Paranorma
Pure white hued apparitioness was seen darting to and fro across bolders and beaches, her light paws leaving no trail in the sand. She finally comes upon a ledge, and the ghostly pale femora stops, pulse rapid and brisk, hurried breaths heaving her sides up and down. Ruddy, deep brown optics flecked with gold flicker and coruscate across the seemingly deserted lakeside. Opaque orbs move to the closer range of vision, giving sudden, cryptic glances behind and above her. She looked upon herself.
Her ghostly white coat was far from appealing. Her pelt was damp and paws and legs were covered with mud, showing her far and frequent treking. Bramble and twigs hung in her shaggy coat, and yet, she had an obscure, innocent feature that brought her beauty. Her eyes held an unfathomable look in them; it never ceased; but showed she held much secrecy within. He rugged-looking coat had tufts of summer hair still falling out, and she was very thin. This showed she had gone hungry for many days. Yet, she held a lot of high-strung energy, showing her stamina and how she was acustom to such hunger.
She shook her head at herself. She had an almost degrading and piteous fear of her own kin, and knew there were many of them here. She had just met one, in fact, and now scolded herself for running from her. How am I to get back on track, with an actual life, if I only run from those chances? She thought to herself.
She laid down cautiosuly, pulse returning to normal. The grit and rocky grime she laid upon had soaked her underside and legs even more-so, and her coat was dirtier then ever. She did not keep track of her outlook, for she was always running, never wanting to be, but somehow always turning out alone....She had been alienated by her own blood long ago, and yet she had guilt that did not belong to her.....
Dathan
While not completely adept in alot of things, his tracking and sensing skills were superb. His auds raised in interest as he heard as well as sensed the she-wolf approaching. He delicately pawed his way around the shore, his deep honey eyes gazing about him expectantly. Inside he held the same fear for dangers, but it was a weak fear; he had never truly learned to fear anything but fear itself. He let out a whuff, a mere greeting and bringing of attention to him as he approached her. He gave a wolfish grin, waggling his tail respectfully.
"Hello," He said, his wolfish smile continuing, his voice deep and handsome. He was slightly embarrassed, he had never spent that much time around the opposite sex, and figured his features would prove him to be much too childish for one such as herself.
Paranorma
She too, had very in-tuned senses, but was to busy looking around elswhere to notice the fellow lupin's approach. She leapt up to her feet, auds pinned and low to the ground, and kept this position until she saw the smile on his face. She told herself Get a grip! And straightened up, copying his behavior slightly.
A sheepish and faint grin appeared on her maw, auds turned forward now, her mudd hued optics held curiosity, yet distinct fear was hidden beneath the surface. Pale apparitioness wagged her tail with a lot of unseen effort, and replied in a soft, somewhat hoarse voice. "Hello." She said, lowering her maw in a bit of respect, then speaking again. "I-I'm Paranorma." She paused. "At least, that is the name I have given myself." She looked to the ground, she had never been given a name. She had, infact, nearly drowned as a pup, and that is why her kin, whose blood ran in her very veins, denied her. They thought her to be dead, and to see her again when she returned only increased their fear. She even looked like a ghost. Thus, she chose a name that suited. Her sheepish grin dissapeared as she thought of the past, but came again when she looked back up to the wolf before her.
Dathan
The brute inhaled her scent, and felt the anxiety, pain and opression on her; he didn't know why her persona seemed this way, but he wished it not to be so. He returned the dip of respect, his honey orbs sparkling with delight at finding his first companion.
"And I am Dathan," He replied, a chuckling smile lain pon his muzzle. "My parents named me that." He said, a tone of bitterness hinted in his voice. "What brings you here, my dear?" He asked, lowring to his haunches.
Paranorma
Femora began to relax, she knew that this friendship may be crucial to 'fitting in' or even surviving here, she didn't want to fend for herself by herself anymore. She smiled a bit easier now, muddy optics shining in the brisk day's sun. She nodded as he spoke of his own parents. She hardly knew hers, but brushed that off. She needed naught to speak of something so grim.
She answered with a calmer, even slightly placid tone. Her voice was a bit more cheery now, and she replied. "Well, nothing truely brought me here. Other than, of course, curiosity and perhaps....a little boredom." She hesitated, not wanting to add the one other true reason, fear for the lands whence she came from.
Dathan
He smiled gently, and gave a breif nod.
"Well, you know what they say:curiosity killed the cat..." He retorted quietly. "Good thing we aren't cats."
The sense that she was hiding something was still pungent, but he kept it to himself, things would come in good time, when it was right. He looked out across the water, the sun was glinting off it and he could see fish leaping out of the water, their silver sides gleaming in the light. His stomach rumbled, and he slammed his ankle together, giving a sheepish, toothy grin to the female.
"Erm, there must be some sort of animal around here..." He attempted to mask his hunger, and felt he only made himself seem more foolish.
Paranorma
The vixen nodded silently, bathed in sunlight. Her muddy orbs glanced about, but mainly to the other wolf's eyes. She still wasnt used to being around another wolf, but she had certainly calmed down, and was beginning to get used to it. She looked out to the water when he did, but when seeing him move her glance turned back to him. Her keen hearing hadn't caught his stomache growl very well, so she smiled and nodded, still unsure of what the sound was. She too, even though it was obvious for she looked it, was famished, and seeing the huge pike flash through the water made her jaw tremble and her mouth water. She looked to him, a sudden and quick question revealed. "Would you like to get something to eat?" She looked to him curiously.
Dathan
He leapt up and nodded, giving her a brilliant smile.
"Yeah, I'd love that!" A wolfish blush covered his furry cheeks, but he ignored it. "Shall we?" he asked in a most gentleman like manner, and pointed his body toward the lake, awaiting her company.
Paranorma
She watched the witty changes of attitude that she had seen so often with this wolf. She nodded with a graceful stride up beside him. She spoke in a soft voice. "Certainly." She smiled as well.
Dathan
He felt a shiver go through his spine when she talked, her voice was lovely, he admitted to himself inside and continued forward, stumbling a bit on his own feet. He gave a sheepish chuckle and hurried down toward the waters edge.
"Erm, I'm not too good at catching fish..." He admitted, one ear drooping down ashamedly. "But, I'm never one not to try." He smiled. "I'm sure you must be good at it?"
Scanning the water gently he searched for the familiar glimmerign of silver, and once he found it his paw dove in the water, struck the fish, sending it skipping across the water and then diving back in. He cried out and lost his footing, falling into the water clumsily. Resurfacing and sputtering he looked at the femme sheepishly; what a first impression-clumsy and scaring away their dinner.

She sighed as she replied to his inquiry. "There was a lake, in the mountains, where I used to fish. I suppose....I am not too bad..." She trailed off, looking to the ground with a smile. Her soft voice showed how shy she was, but it did'nt explain why.
At the site of him falling, she couldn't help but let out a pleasant, whimsical laugh. She smiled and looked down, and said. "We could always go to the eskers, they have large pike there." She went to stand beside him and fell herself. She had tripped in a ditch in the water! She plunged under, the freezing water brought back horrifying memories. She got back up to the suface and jumped out of the water with wide eyes, and shook her coat dry. She hadn't dared to go near a lake close to winter yet, and this showed what happened when she tested her limits. She shook her coat again. "It appears.....we both need some coordination work." She aquired a faint grin.
Dathan
He crawled out of the water and looked at her, both concern and adoration hidden in his pale orbs. he returned the smile and shook his sopping coat.
"Perhaps we should...move to dryer land." He offered in response, wolfish grin still held pon his face. He realized there was much to her that still had yet to be learned, and he realized, he had plenty of time.
Paranorma
She nodded, panting heavily with a bit of fear hidden in her eyes, but grinned back. "Yes, that....might be better. We can learn to fish later." She smiled to him again, she knew fish could be difficult to catch here, but perhaps at the eskers, they may be easier.
