*Dogs & Hunters*

The sounds of dozens of barking and baying dogs hangs in the air. The thundering hooves of five horses and the shoots of men rise above the clammer, then are snuffed out by the uproar. The fox hounds, thirty-one in all, come bounding over the ground with their voices ringing sharply in the delight of picking up a fox's trail. The humans follow eagerly after, astride their horses.

The target, a sly vixen, flees desperately across the ground.

.the slender feline sat silent in the forest, licking her large paws after her latest meal, when suddenly the baying reaches her black-tipped ears. she quickly, gracefully, climbs to her feet, and her green eyes narrowed. she saw the vixen, and a light coo left her vocals. she might as well help...but if she got hurt, she wasn't forgiving. she stepped forward silently, watching the fox, still listening as the hunters drew closer...

*Fox, Hounds, & Humans*

The slender vulpine caught sight of the cougar moving forward and heard the coo. She flashed her dainty fangs at the feline, mistaking her actions for malicful ones. Having no time to stop, she continued to run as fast as she could.

The dogs soon came into view, baying their hearts out and tearing of the ground in a mass of tan, black, and white bodies. They would soon see you and catch your scent! The humans weren't too far behind.

.the feline glanced after the cannine, her own lip pulled back in a rueful smile. ah, the blessings of being a cougar. she stepped forward, then caught sight of the dogs...oh crap. snarling, she pulled herself back into the brush, hoping to conceal herself long enough to think of a plasible plan...

*Fox, Hounds, & Humans*

The hounds hit the cougar's trail and paused, mingling over the area for a moment. Then their voices cried higher and more plantive than before, signaling thier new and bigger find. The whole lot of them gave up their pursuit of the fox and headed for the brush were the feline hid.

.the tawny feline shrank back as the dogs came stopped, silent for a moment. she turned and began to flee, silent, her green eyes searching for a way to elude the dogs. she spied a small creek, which fed into the lake. oh, but she hated getting wet. oh well...she daintily stepped into the water, glanced over her shoulder, then began to dash through the water for a short ways before climbing onto the bank again. she melted into the brush and stopped for a moment to catch her breath, and to see if she had escaped...

*Hounds & Humans*

The dogs, still baying their hearts out, came tumbling out of the woods after her trail. They hit the water and mingled around in it, trying to bring up her scent. Try as they might, her scent was lost to them. But then... the wind brought it to them! They began to head towards your hiding spot but the wind blew strongly of a sudden, confusing their noses and making it very hard to track scent. They began to sniff about. The riders came shortly, milling and waiting for the dogs to pick up a track.

Ice

Brute had been running off from a wolf pack when he came upon the mishaps, when he saw the hounds go for the feline of his own kind he emitted a growl for he had a small cub in his maw, he stood across the creak from the dogs and growled at them, getting their attention away from the other. He then turned and fled hopeing she would have a change to get away, he looked back only once to make sure they followed him. His wicked speed helped him get away, he climbed up a tree then lept from that one to another then through 3 more getting as far away as he could so the hounds would loose his scent, he headed down wind of them then lept off the last tree and began running again.

Namir

He had at first curled up instinctively when he was grabbed, hoping that his pack would come after him. As he was just about too big to carry, his rump would strike the ground often as Ice carried him. Finally Namir had enough and unfurrled his body with a hiss. Twisting about in his flexible hide, he began to swipe his front paws at Ice and kick at his throat and chest with his hind paws. It was terribly difficult to do, because he would be swining this way and that, but more than not he would be leaving his mark.

Aaka

Aaka ran behind. Her running was slower than usual. She would be an easy target. SHe hoped Ice would run with Namir fast. She howled at the dogs. She couldnt take them all on. She took off in the opposite direction of the two. She would be the easiest target for the dogs.

.alayna.

.the feline had begun to back out of the brush when her green eyes caught sight of another feline, with a small pup between his fangs. she heard his snarl, and knew that this was her chance. she lingered a moment longer, watching the dogs and humans, to see who they dashed after...

Ice

Brute bit down a little bit on Nimar as he struggled, swipping his neck and chest a couple of time, small traces of blood began to come through. Ice looked back at alyanna then turned back and ran on to his pack lands.

Aaka

Aaka just kept on running. She stopped at one point and howled seeing if anyone would come.

Amber

She ran here finnaly catching Ice's scent. She ran to where Aaka was seeing her. "Im follwing the scent." She said after hearing the howl and followed the scent.
