Jais

The blood-covered wolf made his way to the large body of water. His way was plagued by lightheadedness and many rests. But he finally made it to the cool waters and padded in until the clear liquid reached his shoulders. He then shook himself in the water and headed for more shallow area and began to roll about in the mud. It wasn't long before most of the dried blood had been cleaned away. Now Jais cleaned the mud off and clambered onto shore again. As fatigued as he was by now, he still managed to shake his coat and lay down for another long rest. Three deep wounds marked his neck and one on his shoulder; the sources of his blood loss.

Peregrine

It was a while later when the large wolf discovered Jais once again. He nudged the slumbering form enough that he would surely wake up. "I've consulted with your brother, and your story holds true. I don't know what his future plans are, but I'd stay within the pack for a while until you are healed better. But I think you are safe enough right now to rest a bit more before heading back." Peregrine sighed, thinking of the long night and this new day. He hadn't gotten any sleep since the escape, and it was begining to tell on his energy. "Kudos, Jais. Rest and get well." Peregrine now headed back to the Avalanche Grove territory for a much needed sleep.

Jais

He drifted into sleep after listening to Peregrine's words. He slept long and didn't wake until mid-day. He felt a bit more energy, but his wounds hurt a great deal and his muscels were still stiff. He picked himself up and found for a moment he was nearly blinded and his head spun. Squeezing his eyes closed, Jais spread his legs to the sides a bit to keep his balance. In a few seconds his eyes could see again and his head focused. More slowly now, he headed for the lake to once again wash his injuries. Then he headed for the pack lands at Peregrine's suggestion. He wondered where Tri-Tundra was.
