widow
large, agile silver wolf creeps into the new lands, staring after a whole ton of deer. heading toward them, widow crouches down, staring at a large, tender fawn, mouth watering. suddenly, she leaps forward, snapping at the baby, trying eagerly to make a kill.
*Deer*
A doe spotted the stalking wolf and snorts loudly. Her white shot up and she begins to run from the wolf. The fawn Widow targeted leaped away from the wolf, just before he's caught. His white tail was up in warning as he began to dash away from the predator.
widow
silvery femora darts after the fawn, moving with long strides. widow easily catches up, then darts in front of the baby deer, snarling and crouching. she leaps, not aiming for his throat, but for his side, ready to beat him up a bit before trying to make the kill. jaws open, then snap shut, attempting to snap the skin to keep him from getting away easy. widow does not know if her leap successfully knocked the fawn off balanced, but if it did it, it mostly likely will.
*Fawn*
The fawn tried to plundge to the side to avoid the attack, but was caught by Widow's lunge. He crashed to the ground, kicking his spindly little legs and trying to get up and run. A gash to his side was the result of the wolf's attack. The scent of blood stained the air.
widow
smirking at the fawn's antics, widow jumps forward again, eager to fill her empty stomach. the silvery femme will mess around with the fawn, make him stunned and still to go for the kill. watching out for the long, thin pistons, widow circles to the other side of him, crouching, then lunges again, hopeful to again knock him off his balance and keep him from standing.
*Fawn*
The fawn had just about scrambled up and was going to make a dash away from the wolf when he was struck again. Once more those akward legs kicked at empty air as he fell to the ground with a startled bleat. He had resiliance though and once again scrambled desperately to bring his hooves beneath him so he could spring away.
widow
a fierce snarl is released, and widow jumps at the baby again, attempting to shove him around a bit. then she goes for the kill. silvery femme lunges for his throat, eager to sink them in and rip off chunks of tender fawn meat. widow misses, but just barely, and is able to wheel around and try again, this time with perfect aim, and only the fawn rolling away can prevent her from getting a grip on his throat.
*Fawn*
The fawn continues to bleat and cry out, but his mother has gone now. He is tossled around by the wolf and unable to get away from the harassment. With her first lunge, he had just pulled back, but witht the second, he wasn't quick enough. Her jaws close around his nimble throat. He struggles fiercly, but a simple bit a pressure from his jaws would be enough to kill him.
widow
ecstatic by her success at gripping the fawn's throat, widow's sharp dentals sink in deeper. crimson blood is tasted in her maw, and it drips onto the ground to stain the grass. her grip is strong, and the fawn's struggling can not free him from it. in a matter of seconds, the life will be sucked out of the helpless creature.
*Fawn*
The fawn struggled in vain, unable to get away from the deadly grasp. Its struggles slowed down until the ceased all together. The kill was successful!
widow
elated at her success, paramour drags the corpse of the dead fawn to the shelter of an enormous rock that curves in slightly to create a roomy cave. flopping down happily, widow grabs a chunk of the tender skin in her maw and rips it, wolfing it down eagerly. ivories slice into the meaty, juicy sensation as widow savors the delicious meal. tearing off another chunk, dove chews constantly before swallowing. red chunks of the chow are stuffed into her stomach. just as she gets a piece of the red meat, another wolf comes and tries to steal the half-finished fawn. but widow snarls, jumping up and lunging at his throat, jaws latching around it enough to scare to young creature away. trotting back the her catch, paramour snatches up the hunk of meat and gobbles it up, settling again to continue chowing. after finishing that last half and gorging herself with the last piece, widow stands happily, moving slowly out of the cave, walking away at a wobbly, unsteady pace.
