Byakuyha

Byakuyha had lost track of most of his family and was on his own. Crucifix, his sisters Kinscesm and Blackened Song. His father Windsong and mother Black Plaque. It didn't seem any of them were alive or still around. The nearly all white male wolf only weighted 120 lbs. He was half arctic wolf half grey. His coat was all white with some black here and there.

He was currently feasting on a fawn he had taken down.

Kincsem

Kincsem kept to herself. The last time she really had company was her last litter of pups, and with time they all dissipated and chose their own course of life. Kincsem had no qualms with that -- she had once done the same thing with her family. The she-wolf took a lonely lifestyle for the most part. For a while even left the Valley and joined a small pack, before a ravaging disease killed off all of them but Kincsem herself. She came back to her home, unaware of the drastic change that had taken place in her time away. Her parents were gone, and her siblings and extended family somewhere and anywhere. So, to be at Pike's Lake and staring down a wolf with the rich white pelt that Windsong had passed onto them, Kincsem was surprised to say the least.

She had come to the lake shore mostly for a drink and to scout out any lazing water fowl. She'd become a keen bird hunter in her time away. Kincsem kept hidden amongst the lakeside reeds, orange-brown eyes studying the lapping waves and the flock of geese carrying away on the waters. The sudden smell of fresh blood hits her nostrils, Kincsem's eyes reeling to find Byakuyha hunched over his kill, ravaging away. Her ears twitched, heart lurching in her rib cage. Did her eyes deceive her? Or was this just another wolf that appeared similar to her long, lost brother.

Kincsem holds her position for a moment longer, before stepping out of the protection of the reeds. Byakuyha probably hadn't heard her yet, the she-wolf taking a few lofty steps in his direction. "You know, putting on some winter weight is a grand idea, but that much meat in one setting will make you ill," Kincsem teases, her voice laced with crude humor. She comes to a stop several paces away from Byakuyha, her tail complacent but on the verge of profuse wagging.

Byakuyha

Bya ate away. His ears flicking every now and then as he wasn't stupid to let his guard down. Many others would gladly steal this food. His ears twitch and he raises his bloody face from thek ill as she speaks and at first he just stares at his sister. He wasn't sure what to believe. None of his family had shown themselves. Kincsem? He says after awhile a silence. His tail slgihtly wagging.

Kincsem

A short, somewhat bitter laugh comes from her mouth as she stares at Byakuyha. Her tail swishes gently as she gazes at him, not entirely sure, herself, how to react to their spontaneous reunion. "You must've thought me dead, huh?" She muses with a grim smile. "Seems like it's the safest assumption, these days, to make of someone." The white she-wolf closes the distance between them, batting Bya's shoulder with a paw and nudging his messy chin.

Byakuyha

Bya watchs her.I haven't found any trace of any of our family though i've heard rumors that our uncle Crucifix is still around but I haven't found him yetHe said. He nudges her back. Eat He says.

Kincsem

She takes a seat next to Bya's kill, leaning down to a snag a small piece and swallowing it quickly. Her eyes carry out over the lake, scanning the treeline across the waters, deep in her thoughts as Bya explains. "All I know is the Shadow Haunters are rebuilding...or something," Kincsem casually remarks, sighing a bit. While she didn't have problems with the Valley's powerhouse, the rise of a powerhouse usually meant something ominous for the rest of the Valley. Tensions would, once again, seize their home. "I can't assume the descendants of Kalaber will take too lightly to it, given the Haunters pursue the same ideals they did seasons ago..."

Byakuyha

He listened to her and frowned.just what we needShe said softly. I would think not but I think Crucifix is a smarter then some of our other descendentsHe said.

Kincsem/

Kincsem shrugs softly, aware that the news doesn't directly affect them seeing as they're both currently loners. "The past is the past, but it's hard to forgive what some of these packs have done," Kincsem admits darkly, narrowing her eyes. "If there's one thing I learned from it all, is that nobody really changes. I hope the likes of Crucifix remember that." The son of Kalaber should remember that. Kalaber had been betrayed and backstabbed numerous times, Kincsem recalls. Her adoptive father's tumultous alliances and enemies were a testament to Kincsem's cynicism.

Byakuyha

He listens carefully to her and nodds. The war drove a lot of them mad and they lost site of why they foughtHe said calmly.

Kincsem

Ears twitch down as Kincsem realizes how bitter she sounds. That was years ago. She had been a loner, too, throughout most of it to avoid the emotional attachment of loss and betrayal during the war. Still, despite that, Kincsem had hurt with her family from a distance. "It either drove you mad or broke you if you didn't run from it," Kincsem wistfully adds, "And I was too much of a coward to stick around for that." The she-wolf shifts uneasily. There were many of her family that she had no idea what happened to. The lack of closure on the status of the great majority her family and friends bothered the she-wolf, even if she pretended it didn't.

Byakuyha

He listens to her.Indeed, your not a coward, the war wasn't for all, fighting isn't for allHe said softly.

Kincsem

Shaking her head, ears flopping, an exasperated sigh emits itself from Kincsem's jaws. She leans back into a sitting position, shoulder sinking a bit. "Ha. Listen to me," she mutters with a snort, "still grumbling about the past." The ivory-furred she-wolf tilts her head up to the ashen-clouded skies, orange-brown eyes studying the little edges of the clouds above. For a moment, her thoughts are barren. Finally her head tilts downwards to gaze back at her brother. "I won't be a coward if this escalates," she decides, a defiance igniting in her eyes. "Not this time."
