Guzo

Guzo who was dark grey with a black muzzle and tail and a white underside and weighed 195 lbs decided to go out for a small stroll. He walked across part of the lake that was frozen and was now close to the shore sniffing the ice. His tail flicked to the side.

V I O L A

Viola wandered alone today — leaving California to do whatever it is she does when her and Vi are not attached at the hip.

Curiously the girl peered through the forest as she walked, knowing she was heading towards the large lake that lay in the middle of these vast lands. As she walked she held in her hand thin hemp papers and a wad of jade plant crumbs; carefully she placed the crumbs in the paper, rolled it and pulled from her pocket a small leather pouch. The pouch held her thin papers, her matches, a small pipe made from deer antlers, some feathers, some stones, a smaller sack of cannabis that she’d collected from the matured plants scattered about the Valley.

As she walked, smoothly and gracefully she lit the long whitish stick of plant and paper, inhaling it’s sweet tender contents as she place fire to it’s end.

The trees danced, the birds chirped and swung through the canopy.

The trees rustled, Viola was startled, quickly hiding and tucking herself behind a tree trunk. “Uh, hello?” Her heart pounded - hoping it was not some vicious animal. Viola had o protection from predators, she was a prime target for something savage and hungry.

Guzo

Guzo didn't normally bother with humans but when he smelt one in his line of path his teeth were bared and he got into a hunting crouch as he approached the human. I come out of the bushs and growl at the girl. I stop to asses what I should do. My eyes on the girl.
