Aaka
Aaka walked to the lake in hope of finding an animal or even a wolf to talk to or if it was a different animal she would eat.
*Signs*
A very large cottonmouth snake glided across the water near the shore. After slithering his glistening wet form onto the shore, he curled up to soak up the warmth of the sun. His dark tongue flicked out a few times. Suddenly realizing he had crawled within a few feet of a wolf, the snake turned his head toward Aaka and watched her closely.
A yearling moose was wading out into the water to feed, a few dozen yards from you. He looked healthy, but it was obvious that he was young and most likely not experienced with wolves.
Aaka
Aaka watched the moose come out of the water. She was hungry. She stalked quietly towards the moose. Her body low to the ground for swifter movements. She was in jumping distance of the moose. She thrust her body high in the air trying to go for the throst or a leg. Which ever she got a hold of....
*Moose*
The unwary moose had just dipped his head underwater, making his neck impossible for a quick reach. Aaka was able to grab a hold of his hind leg though. Swinging his head up out of the water with a loud bellow, the bull tried to kick his legs and throw Aaka off. But being in at least two feet of water, it was a bit harder to run and kick.
Aaka
Aaka clutched to the bulls hind leg and tryed to snap it.She knew that she had the advantge because they were in the water. She bit down harder growling as she did.
*Moose*
The young moose continued to struggle and kick, but he didn't have the strength of an adult nor the skills to properly defend himself against the wolf. One of his lower leg bones were broken between Aaka's jaws. Realizing it was harder to struggle in the water, the moose tried to dash for the shore, but with his long spindly legs and one broken, the water tripped him up and he fell in. His deadly hooves thrashed wildly as he tried to get back up... Aaka must be extremely careful or she could get seriously injured or killed.
Aaka
Aaka could feel the bull falling. She let go and leaped to the side to get out of the way of his legs. She was at his back leaping to get a hold and break its spinal cord.
*Moose*
The moose continued to struggle and thrash about in the water, trying to get up. Because of all his struggling, Aaka wasn't able to get a good grip on his back. Her fangs sunk deep into muscle that covered the back, but she was need to adjust her bite to reach the spine. Her bite did cause a lot of blood loss though.
Also, while scrambling to get a hold of the bull, Aaka's hind paw was cut on a sharp rock. The wound isn't serious, but it will be painful to walk for a while and it will need to be cleaned often so it doesn't get infected.
Aaka
Aaka felt the slice of the rock. She cyed threw the mooses hide. She let it go noticing the blood loss. She leaped again trying to get a hold on its spine once again.
*Moose*
The moose was able to get to his feet before Aaka could land her fangs into his back, but they did sink into his side as he stood. Blood streamed from his wounded back and leg and tainted the water with a crimson touch. His eyes were slightly glossy, suggesting he may be going into shock. The weight of the wolf on his young body nearly toppled him over again, but he managed to stand shakily on three legs. Hardly able to lash out at Aaka with his hooves, the periled creature began to dash for the shore again, whether Aaka was clinging to him or not.
Aaka
Aaka held her grip on his side. She wasnt letting go. She shifted her weight to see if it would bring him down. She was starting to feel the pain in her paw. She oushed the thought away. She could hadle this. She knew the moose wasnt going to get much farther.
*Moose*
It was bad enough to be running through water on three stilt-like legs, but to have the shifting weight of a wolf at his side who's teeth bared the dreadful weight into his hide was too much. With a desperate cry, the moose toppled over once more, but this time didn't land on his side like before. He landed with one front leg tucked under him and the other angled infront of him. Straining his muscels, he attempted once more to rise. But it would be easier for Aaka to hold him down and attack him since his energy is decreasing.
Aaka
Aaka saw her chance and took it. She tore into the mooses hide trying to get a good grip. Her teeth were slashing and tearing at anything she could get a hold of.
*Moose*
The moose rose halfway before collapsing back down. His mother had told him to be wary of this; she told him the wolves usually killed their kind by causing shock and bloodloss. He hadn't been able to get away from the first few attacks and now it was too late. His wide, glossy eyes showed shock. He tried again and again to pull himself up, but the life was ebbing from his body as more blood was lost. It wasn't too much longer before his head dropped down and his body was lax, lying in a pool of crimson. He was dead.
Aaka
Aminita!" Aaka called. She couldnt eat the moose alone. So she called her friend.
