*Deer*

Ten deer lay near the shore, scattered about. Seven of them are dead, and the other three seem unable to get up.

Most of them have swollen blue tongues, and blood-shot eyes. Four of the dead deer have swollen necks. The three still alive are panting very heavily, and two of them are foaming at the mouth. One soon goes unconscious, and the other two look like they are soon to follow.

*pads up to them smelling each. what was wrong with these deer? they were sick that’s part of it she knew but with what? rabies? some foaming a sign of rabies but it was still odd.*

*Deer*

One of the three deer alive dies soon after you come. Another one rolls her reddish eyes towards you and tries to lift her head, then drops it again. Blood seeps slowly from her nose.

None of them carry the scent of rabies, but there is some scent of illness about them.

One of the two deer still alive rolls her blood-shot eyes up to look at you. Her sides rise and fall rapidly as she breathes, and foam bubbles from her open jaws. It seems that her neck and jaws are swollen, as well as her tongue. She makes a small effort to get up, but she cannot.

*nudging her telling her it was probably no use. she was sad now. she didn't wish animals to suffer like this. she should search for a cause. may be it was in the water from the floods.*

*Deer*

The doe seems to relax slightly, and doesn't try again to get up. She had a very high fever, but couldn't drink any water. Her tongue was too swollen, and her jaws hurt too much. Slowly, her eyes began to get glossy, and she struggled to breath.

The other doe slipped into unconsciousness.

A young fox and his mate slink over to a dead buck, and began to eat the meat. Three of their pups follow after and also begin to eat.

*grabbing a curved leaf she fills it with water and brings it to the deer.* try to get some of this into your body.*she wasn't strong enough to bring her to the lady or big enough.*

*Deer*

The doe looks up at Black Fyre with some confusion at first, but when the water was near her, the doe struggled greatly before being able to drink it. Her jaws and neck hurt too much for her to talk. The illness made her not fear Black Fyre, or even question why the wolf was helping her. All she knew was how thirsty she was, and how good the water felt to her parched throat.

black fyre

*not knowing her own strength she suddenly put the doe on her back and carried her off to the lady at a quick pace. maybe she could help.*
