Zeek
The Maned wolf was sure to be behind Retchie all the way to the lake. He had gotten this far, now he couldn't lose her again. He figured she'de probably have a go at running away again if he just led the way, and there was no way he'de take that chance.
Soon enough they were at the lake and he made sure she was standing by the water. Dinner time. Immedietly he eyed a fish and shot into the water with a splash, and then coming back up with a fish after a rather skillful maneuver. The thing flailed in his jaws but he paid no heed to it as he closed his jaws about it. Easily, he tossed the fish to the shore by his mate and then dove for another.
Retchie
The only thing she liked about Zeek was if it was gonna be a small meal such as fish or rabbit he did the hunting. She layd down and began to eat the fish. She knew soon though she would have to raise more of his pups. He had sent the other three on their way to keep them from their father.
Zeek
Zeek had often thought about more pups. He didn't know where the others had gone, but he was annoyed by it nonetheless. Snorting as he continued to dive about in the water, he managed to snag a few more good-sized fish and tossed them back over his head to the shore. Just a couple more would satisfy him, so he took the time to catch them and then fling those to shore as well. Then he himself stepped through the water back to dry ground and settled down, latching onto a lightly flailing fish. He held onto it tightly and ripped the scaly flesh from it, enjoying the taste.
Retchie
Retchie ate as many as she wanted before resting. Her brother was dead because all he wanted to do was protect her. She yawned and licked her lips.
Yousk and Mosk two from the previous litter had stuck around but knew their father wouldn't reckonize im. Well atleast they hoped not. They felt bad for leaving their mother even though they didn't know the reason but after watching their father kill their uncle they knew why. They hunted as if they didn't know the two were there.
Zeek & Keeya
Zeek continued to eat as well, and after a good few fish he finished licking his lips and yawning as well. Fish could be quite filling at times, especially when he ate so many at once. He didn't even think he had been so hungry during the last couple fish, but he did it, and now he was feeling sleepy. He rested his head on his fore legs and sighed deeply, finally truely satisfied.
Keeya had been with her two siblings the whole time, and she had even watched the horrifying death of their uncle. She stalked around with them, alert and sensitive to the surroundings.
Retchie
she lifted her head to the sky as if looking for Kocheck. Her ears flat back.
Yousk and Moska watched. They then began to howl in mourning but not to the two over younder.
Zeek & Keeya
Zeek twitched a bit as he began napping, and then was awoken by the howls in the distance. He failed to notice any mourn in them and was instead annoyed. He got to his paws in a flash, snarling. "Who would interupt my nap?" he growled out, looking about them, nose sniffing the air.
Keeya howled along with her siblings. It was long and deep, evidently mourning something passed.
Retchie
She awoke at the voices nd knew them. Her eyes showed shock and then she made it fade. Hopefully the three would leave.
Yousk. he soon stod up and made to leave.
Mosk though stayed.
Zeek & Keeya
Zeek snorted and looking around. He could smell them now. The scents were all too familiar. He knew who it was and knew they were near. Turning, he snarled and stalked off in the direction the howls came from.
Keeya was turning to go with Yousk when she noticed Mosk wasn't going. She turned back and tilted her head a bit, confused. "Aren't you coming?" she asked, tail flicking.
Yousk
Retchie. She knew he knew now and she whined.leave them be!
Mosk.I'll catch up you go on aheadShe spoke. She just wanted to smell her mother for a little longer.
Yousk dipped his head.Come on KeeyaHe said leaving the scene.
Zeek & Keeya
Keeya snorted lightly and then nodded, turning back to follow after Yousk.
Zeek bolted straight towards the previous howls, keeping his eyes open for any other beings. He knew who was all howling, yet when he actually reached the spot there was only one there. "Youuu," he growled deeply, ears flat back. He paid no heed to his mate's words and only cared of the reason their pups were still about, yet never seen.
Mosk
Mosk Spun around when she heard something and her ears and tail go down and she backs away fright in her eyes.Who are you? what do you want? She spoke though she knew who he was just tried to play innocent.
Retchie watched from the distance.
Zeek
Zeek snorted at his daughter's clueless acts. Oh, she thought she could fool him. Well it wasn't working. "You can't fool me, you know who I am, as I know who you are!" he snarled lightly, noting the fright within her eyes. He took a step nearer to her, wondering just why she was playing innocent.
Mosk
Mosk took a step back when he stepped closer. her ears remained back and then she looked to her mother and then back to him.leave me aloneShe spoke.
Retchi moved closer but didn't intervene
Zeek
Zeek snorted, and flipping his tail. "You've been left alone alll this time. Well it's time things changed," he snarled lightly, advancing a couple more steps. He knew there was no way he could keep all of their pups with them, especially them being of that older age, but at least he could imagine. Or make an attempt.
Mosk
She backed up as he spoke and advanced. She backed into a boulder and fell on her butt. She didn't speak.
Retchie growled slightly.
Zeek
Zeek continued to advance on her, and then growled, showing his fangs as she fell. Then he couldn't help but emit a small chuckle. Such clumsiness. "You couldn't keep an act of being innocent for long, and now look at you." he snorted, shaking his head. "Clumsiness." he spoke, unsatisfied. This was one of his daughters? She was, well, embarressing rather, to him. "So where have your siblings been, hmm?" he spoke intently, voice low.
Mosk
She sat there unsure. She was pretty much trapped now.We wonder we never stay in one placeShe spoke studderng.
REtchi.Leave her alone ZeekShe whimpered rubbing up against him.
Zeek
Zeek stood there, staring at her intently. Another snort was then emitted as he looked as Retchie came up to him. He was rather not interested in finding out all the places they went, but it was an annoying thing either way. Why hadn't they stayed? "Why did you three leave? There must be a descent explaination for just that!" he spat, seemingly ignoring his mate now.
Mosk
She listened.Cause momma asked us to and told us we'd be better offShe whimpered.
retchie. And they are better off now leave her beShe growled biting at his ear and trying to pull him away.
Zeek
Zeek was slightly taken aback by his daughter's words, but then all he could do was chuckle and shake his head. "Ahh, that's funny. Real funny." he stated, and then jerked his ear away from Retchie. He turned to face her, forgetting his daughter now. He had gotten all he wanted. "So that is why they all suddenly disappeared?" he growled lightly, tail flicking behind him. "And leaving me with no say? And I thought your brother was bad,"
Retchie
She growled. Her tail flicked. My brother was the best thing ever in this world you shit face! She growled.
Mosk started to creep to the side.
Zeek
Zeek no longer cared about the presence of Mosk, and instead paid full attention to Retchie. "You filthy mongrel! He was the thing keeping us apart, and if you knew what was good for all of you, you would have told him to leave as well!" he snarled, swiping his fangs toward her face.
Retchie
She pulled her face back and glared. How many times do i have to tell you i don't want anything to do with you!She growled.
Zeek
He snarled. "All the times you want cause it doesn't matter!" he growled out, and leapt at her, aiming to knock her to the ground. So she still hadn't learned? He'de teach her, like he had all this time.
Retchie
She dodged again and made a nother run for it.Her tail flying out behind her.Her tongue lolled out.
Zeek
Zeek snorted and gave chase once again. What a weakling... the brute thought as he gained speed, though when he drew nearer to her, he didn't jump or attempt an attack. He simply continued after her.
Retchie
She growled. She knew he wouldn't attack he would wait till she was exausted. She then spun so her side was facing him and she so hoped he ran into her.
Zeek
Zeek may be skilled at many things, but quick reaction wasn't exactly one of his strong points. When she turned, he made an attempt to slow or dodge it, but instead collided with her side and made for a mad tumble into the ground. Shaking his head about, he turned and tried to regain composure, then would once again start after her.
Retchie
She didn't start running . She gave up on running. She snorted and shook her head and laid down panting.
Zeek
Zeek growled and mumbled something under his breath before he stalked over to Retchie, attempting to grab her scruff and give her a good jerk upwards. "Get up, you fool!" he snarled through his gritted teeth. She took the chances alright, but he gave the punishments.
Retchie
REtchie didn't move for a minute and then stood up as he commanded.
Zeek
Zeek snarled at her and lashed out at her face with his fangs again. Then he went to grab her by the scruff. "You'll learn your lesson. I'll make sure of it." he said, his fur bristled and growls sounding from his throat.
Retchie
Blood dripped by her muzzle from the attack. She yelped and didn't fight him.
Zeek
Zeek snarled at Retchie. "You are crazy to run yet again like that! Oh, but you'll learn," he stated, reaching out to latch onto her scruff and drag her over a few feet and then drop her again. He then walked a couple more feet and turned back to look at her.
Retchie
She growled but didn't fight him. Well what was that for ? that was pointless. She sat up and watched him.
Zeek
Zeek snarled at her. Then he thought once more of pups. Another litter would fix things up, surely. After she made the last ones practically ditch him... Snorted, he headed back to her and went to grab her by the scruff. They could 'start fresh', in simpler terms.
Retchie
She growled but did not fight him.
Zeek
With the whole idea of 'starting fresh', he jerked her away to the breeding grounds.
