Promise
A soft zephyr whispered across the land as Promise made her way down a hill and to the shimmering jewel of water. Her yellow eyes watched gently as fish of all kind swam just below the veil surface. Imprisoned in their liquid cage, a boundary set by nature never to be broken by such lowly creatures. There was a sigh as the thought of imprisionment entered her head. What if we are to be imprisioned by the Haunters? Will we be just as helpless as the fish in their binding water? Golden eyes closed tightly behind black eye lids as her rare satan fur shivered for a moment. Letting the light from the sun into the hollow tubes to illuminate her body.
Slowly her dainty feet moved her away from the waters edge only to crumple beneath her a few yards away from the shore. She stayed there, laying still as the sun hit her white and black body. Were they to see the end of the war or was it to be a battle never to end?
*Kahota
Powerful muscles caried the thick frame of the brute forward, his smokey brown and grey pelt rippled as he strode through the trees and into the open clearing. Pale yellow orbs gazed about as he made his way to the water's edge. He had noticed a fae of unusual color further down the shore. she stared out at the water, thoughts of distant things flickering across her golden orbs. He watched her for a moment as she padded back to the shelter of trees, and then to his suprise she collapsed. His acute senses snapped alert and instinct took over as he dashed across the open ground to her side. He checked her sides and was relieved to see them rise and fall benieth her fur.
"Are you alright, m'lady? Are you hurt?"
He hovered over her, distress clear in his eyes.
