Legosa
The brute was still fuming about Faute and Atticus, and not feeling an ounce of regret for his assault on them. He didn't stop once to wonder where Lost was, or where Phelan had wondered off to. Rarely did he think of Laporta. Never did he wonder about his other childeren born by Aminita. The only one holding concern in his thoughts was his dear Aaka, the only one who would ever mean anything to the bitter, arrogant creature that Legosa was.
Every day, he felt worse about what he did; not bad for Aminita and what he did to her, but bad for Aaka and the fact that he betrayed her. He hadn't done it to hurt her, he had done it out of his own frustration. If only he could find Tortured, he'd slaughter that bastard! Make him suffer!
Head heavy with guilt and anger, Legosa padded slowly along the edge of the lake. The ground was soft now, with the snow gone and frost melted. The air was still crisp and cold, but it was not freezing. Very soon, the buds would begin to swell on the trees, and the grass would begin to green up on the ground. With spring, maybe things would change. He could make things right with Aaka again. He had to make things right again.
Aaka
She looked like a train wreck on steroids. There were gashes all over her body, the bullet wounds to her shoulder and hind leg. The only thing that was left unscathed was her face. Yellow eyes fell upon her mate, and tears filled up and boiled over. She came forth from behind him, her movements silent and gentle. Hey.... She said softly, calling to Legosa. Now what? Should she tell him that she knew about Ami? Maybe....Maybe. She didn't know yet. God, she didn't know anything yet. But seeing Legosa here, it filled her heart with joy.
Legosa
A snowy ear swiveled back, catching the sound of approaching pawfalls. Narrowed eyes and a half-snarling face were turned towards Aaka before Legosa recognized her as his mate. And then his features melted into appology and his cruel, icy-yellow eyes softened. "I didn't realize it was you..." He replied lightly, giving a meek, partial smile. Turning fulling around to face her, Legosa touched muzzle with his mate before drawing back. "A lot of bad has happened." Oh god, where was this going? How in the world could he even start to explain himself and his actions. After a moment of hesitation, he choose not to adress Aminita at all. Choosing the coward's way out for once, Legosa offered up a different subject, "Why don't we start over? Maybe a... a pack hunt, something." A pack hunt? Was that the best he could come up with?
Aaka
Her smile was faint and gentle, but pain still lurked in her eyes. Yeah...Maybe. She then moved up along side him, staring into the Lake. Her eyes, they still held that haunted look, those dark shadows. Today was Little Shadows birthday. Something twisted in her heart, something vicious and cruel. You killed him, Aaka. You killed them all. Storms face hovered in her mind, then those eyes turned to Legosas, the pain and haunting more evident then ever. Legosa....Will...Will you help me find Storm? I...I need to talk to him. How could she explain? Well...He'd find out as soon as they found out about Storm.
Legosa
Ah, there was reprieve at last; something else to focus on other than his sins. He would much rather go out on a quest for Aaka's brother than sit down and admit all his guilts to his mate, even though they ate at him like a cancer. "Yeah, sure. Of course I'll help you find him." The brute replied, but was troubled by the look that haunted his mate's eyes. He nuzzled her once, and this time, there was no holding back or reservation in his show of affection. He didn't realize what he may be getting himself into with Aaka's past, but if he could do something to help her, then he would do it.
