Jais
The white wolf was once again contemplating his role in wolf society. He had been alone for too long now, and it was time to join with a pack. Memories fell back to Bagre and Quain, and their meeting at the Ashen Domes. With winter setting in, it was high-time to establish a terrain and prepare for the hard months ahead.
Standing at the eastern edge of the great lake, Jais howled loudly, letting his voice carry full and clear over the land, hoping that his friends would hear.
.kekochoi.
Well, she wasn't a friend but she was the next best thing. Little Kekochoi, the smallest and youngest of her siblings. She was a deep black in color, with mismatched eyes like her fathers. She heard Jais's howl and raised her own dial to answer. She came forth, no more then a couple years old was she. A soft smile was on her lips and she murmered softly to the male "Hello. I am Kekochoi of the Sedge Creek Pack. What brings you here in a time of harshness?" Her eyes drifted to the lake, there had been rumors that a shark lived there. Just think, a shark! Shaking her head she looked back at Jais, the same warm smile in place as she awaited his answer.
Jais
An equally warm smile was returned to Kekochoi as he let his head dip down in respect to her, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Kekochoi. I'm Jais." When she mentioned the Sedge Creek, even more distant memories came to him; that was his birth pack. Where his life began, though it had been years since he had been there. He hadn't been back to that place since his brother died. "I was trying to find my friends; but more importantly, to find a pack to join." The idea of returning to the Sedge Creek land was intriuging, and somehow... it felt right. Still, he didn't want to impose on this female, so he didn't outright ask.
.kekochoi.
Her smile was faint. "My mother, her name is Moon Spirit. Perhaps you have heard of her....She would enjoy it very much to have another around. Since Karai left, things have gotten quiet." Her brother had left as well, and even Kekochoi and Kianga hadn't been the most frequent occupants of the terrain, which made the black fae feel horrible but she couldn't help it. She wanted revenge....Something someone like her was never allowed to taste.
Jais
He mulled over the possibility for a silent moment, finding the name of Moon Spirit and Karai familiar, if only from gossip he'd overheard. "If it's no obligation to you and your pack, I would like to join. I have a lot of memories from that place." His smile grew slightly, though it held a distant look. Rabies had plagued the area the last time he was there, and that had finished off both his parents. In the back of his mind, he wondered if the giant grizzly, Thunder's Call, was still in the area.
Kekochoi
Her smile was faint. "Mama won't mind, she loves new comers, especially the friendly type." With that Kekochoi turned and began to trot away. She had never even seen a bear, let alone one in the area. And rabies, that was another thing that had gone unheard of to the dark female.
Jais
He followed quietly after, choosing to tred a little ways behind the female. He was curious to get to know her, but the faintness of her smile led him to believe she wasn't ready for such things from him. In anycase, Jais was just happy to be going to a new home.
