(Areto)

bahdum bahdum bahdum bahdum
Yooooou guessed it! From stage left starts a familiar scene. A lone bay mare enters at a quick two-beat cadance.
bahdum bahdum bahdum bahdum bahdum

She slows to a walk as the earth below becomes soft. Wouldn't want to fall here, a broken leg would mean death and with an injury she wouldn't get past the mountian looming above. Optics narrow as she focuses on her surroundings she couldn't SEE any imediate danger but that didn't mean much at all. Plenty of things were hiding just below the surface ready to eat a full grown horse like herself in a few swift chomps.

She lets out a long breath, it had been a long journey. The moon had gone from full to black an back to full again twice since she had left her sweet naive valley. They believed in peace harmony and agranged mates there. Females had no power, but there had always been a whispers of a distant land mares could rule and even battle for their power. Pity she hadn't for a single equine since she ran from her Sire, Sir Equine the Great and Righteous. Bah.
She was tired, her eyes begin to close...

Diablo

A snort emitted from the nares of a grazing stallion. How long he had been at Pike's Lake, he didn't know. But the shoots of grass here were soft and juicy, tender to the demon's mouth. He shook his mane away from his face to whisk away flies. Suddenly, the radars picked up a steady beat and pinpointed itds location. The proud Hanoverian crown rose to look where it's source was. A mare. She had stopped, searching. She seemed drowsy....not wanting to frighten her, he made sure he was in view not to scare her and gently started a walk closer. Upon reachign nearly 6 feet away, he spoke.
"Hello?" His tones were always a wonder to him, gentle but firm and holding strength. But he stood back in case she wasn;t too friendly.
"Hope I didn't scare you..." He said softly, looking to the soft ground. The sun was set, the moon just starting to rise.

Areto Your slipping old girl, shoulda seen this one comming.

She stays silent for a moment more to take in all her options
a)Turn tail and run like the wind
b)Charge him and hope to knock him into the lake
c)Stand and talk

of all three C seemed the most reasonable option. He was the first equine she had seen in months maybe she was getting close to this other land.

I'm not that easily scared. But you did manage to startle me.

She paused, what did this stag want? He was acting oddly lowering his gaze like a quiet mare? Maybe he was gelded?
Hush now thats not very nice.

But now that your here, mind telling me where here is?

The chatter of forest life began to die down as the sun lowered behind the mountians. A cool breeze picked up ruffling her mane and tail.

Diablo

Diablo raised his head. He wasn't shy, but he was trying to be polite. He didn;t want to seenm evil or vicious to anyone, really. "Sorry." His hooves pranced the soft ground, being new he wasn;t sure who everyone was. he was learning about others as he caught up chatter through his small time here. And he knew where everywhere was, or at least some information about them and the place's names. He hadn't been verywhere, though.
"'Here' is Pike's Lake." He replied, looking around at the water. The ivory that showed off the Yang colours of his body seemed to shine in the growing darkness.

Areto

She relaxed a bit at his reply, allowing her weight to shift to one side. She was still aware of her surrounding though. Never let down your guard. She had heard her sire preach that to young male recruits for years and she finally took it to heart.
Pike lake aye?
After pausing a moment she realized she was being rude.
The names Areto, and you are?

Diablo

Diablo simply nodded lightly at her question, or her confirmation, of Pike's, but he took in her name.
"Well, My name is Diablo. I'm wondering If you've been here long...?" He asked, flicking his radars forth and swished his banner unneedingly. Himself being new, he hadn't found a place to stay or anything but he was determined to find one.

Areto

Nice to meet you Diablo She sighed No I havent been here long, but I've been wandering for what seems like an eternity. And you? Where do you live? Or are you a lone like me? Her weigh shifted from one side to the other Areto didn't handle sitting still well

Diablo

Diablo nodded for what seemed like the millionth time, feeling stupid. "I'm a loner, wandering for now. It's only been about a month since I first came here, so I'm fairly new as well. " He noticed her shifting, curious if she was tired.
"Are you tired? I'm sorry if you are, I can let you rest if you need it." He said, his ops lflicking with curious and slight worry.
