Ying

His run was a labored trot now as he came to the Lake. He moved past others, ignoring them at best or brushing past them rudely. He smelled of humans from where one had hit him with a board in the ribs. He had assessed the damage, he knew he would survive and would not need human care to make him better. He came to a secluded part of the lake and sat, his half white half black body shivering. But still he sat there half submerged in water as his brilliant orange eyes looked over the lake as if seeking something......Something.....

Havfeera-Vh'mei

Several minutes after Ying entered the water, there was a ripple on the lake's surface, a few hundered yards away. Then the tip of a fin sliced upwards, heading for the two-toned wolf at a quick rate. It was the unmistakeable dorsal of a shark.

The bull shark was still adjusting to the freshwater, but it would be an easy enough transformation for her. For one, the change in water killed off all of the sea-water parasites, which was a tremendous relief. Unlike whales, Havfeera didn't really like to breech and smash the parasites off of her finely-scaled hide.

Getting closer to the shore, Havfeera slowed and raised part of her head from the water to get a quick glimpse of Ying. It was easy to smell the wolf once he entered the water, but she had to be sure it was the same wolf that had saved her at Orca Bay. There was no mistaking his unusual colors. "You kept true to your word, and I will to mine. This will be my main hangout; but I'll travel the river as well. Is there anything I could help you with at the moment?"

Ying

He spotted the fin and tensed slightly waiting just in case it was someone else. When he saw who it was, he relaxed once more. "No, Havfeera. There is nothing that I need at the moment." He looked around him and said softly to her "I will probably make my home here, I do not enjoy others company much." Liar his mental voice hissed to him. With a vengenace he squished it back down. He enjoyed ones company, a lovely wolfess by the name of Karai. He liked her children as well but it was the dove that caught hold of him. He could feel his heart doing flip flops just by thinking of her name. His body remained tense, waiting to see if humans were after him. He could just lure them further into the water.....It was warm enough.

Havfeera-Vh'mei

She was silent for a moment, "When ever you might need help, just give a howl. And splash in the water." One of the great 'powers' sharks had; an electric field around their bodies to sense disturbances in their domains. Havfeera swung her head to the side slowly, peering at Ying's black side, and then his white side, "You look like a sideways orca, you know that? They'd love to meet you; probably see you as some sort of god or something." The bull shark pointed out. She didn't know a whole lot about their religions or beliefs, but she did remember a myth of theirs about orcas changing into wolves during the night; and vice-versa. "But it's just as well that you stick with me. They can't swim freshwaters." Havfeera added hastily, not wanting to loose her friend.

Ying

He chuckled softly at her words. "I will stick with you, dear Havfeera. A kind friend you are. But you must admit that it would be kind of fun to be a God to some of the lands greatest mammals." His eyes were bright on her and he smiled warmly. Yes, Havfeera was a good friend. Maybe he would bring Karai here to introduce them to one another.

Havfeera-Vh'mei

Relief was felt at his words, and it was also very nice to be called a 'kind friend'. Just 'friend' alone would have been something new, for she never actually had anyone call her that before. "That it would, that it would." Havfeera affirmed, thinking briefly on the subject of being a god. She was more or less a powerhouse where ever she went, which all other creatures giving way before her- even other sharks. Havfeera was at the top of the food chain, except when it came to the larger sharks and, sometimes, the dolphins. Including the mammoth orcas. "If you don't mind me asking, where did you come from? Before living her at the Valley?"
