Little Earth

The yearling white-tail deer came racing to the edge of the lake, his long legs carrying him in graceful leaps while his slender neck was thrust forward like a knife cutting through the wind. It wouldn't be until next year that he began to get more build on his lean frame, but at his age, he was one of the hardest prey animals to catch. Very swift and sure.

Having reached the lake, Little Earth panted and looked to see if Cosmic had kept up. Then he looked down in the the rippling water and gazed at the little stubs that were growing on his head. In a month or so, they'd branch out a bit. He' couldn't wait to start sparring with his friends; but for now, his little stubs were covered in velvet and couldn't take any rough-housing.

Cosmic

ebonite legs propelled the slender chassis of the equine after his friend. He took the jumps a paces but was quickly as his deer friend but still graceful. Like his friend lacked a year before his frame would fill out more. His silver bay chassis soon pulled up beside Little Earth his orbs dancing in delight.

That was fun. I never ran that fast, but you seem to fly

Ghost

White paws glided across the land, those paws belonged to Ghost, the albino cougar. Ghost hadn't eaten in days, so he was on the look out for prey. He wasn't looking for anything for anything in peculiar, he just wanted something to ease his hunger pains.

Ghost had been traveling for sometime before he came to Pike's Lake so he was tired he padded over to a log that stuck out over the water and laid down on it, but as he did he caught a glimpse of a deer that ran out into the open, and then not long after the deer showed up, an ebony stallion appeared. Ghost then remembered how hungry he was. Ghost stood up and slowly stalked back onto dry land. Then Ghost used the cover of some reeds to get close to the pair of animals. When Ghost was within a few yards of the creatures, he began to think of which poor animal he would attack. Their was the horse, not as swift and he was alot larger than the deer. Then there was the buck, he was faster, and smaller than the equine.

With those bits of information, Ghost began his attack on the horse. Ghost crept a few feet closer to the equine then sprang out of hiding and launched himself at Cosmic. The horse had a slight advantage though Ghost had walked out on the fallen log, so the horse or deer could have spotted him, causing him to have been ready to take off at any second, which could give him a head start if it came down to a chase. So Ghost continued to run towards Cosmic.

Luna Dreams | Cosmic

Cosmic hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings he was just happy being with his friend. He half reared playfully just as he landed the cougar sprang out at him. the young buck shied away just intime to miss the lethal claws. A frantic call for his father and sire escaped him knowing that they weren't too far away from home maybe they could still be heard if he called loud enough. He managed to get away from the cougar but was so scared he got tangled up in vines nearby which made his fall scrambling to get up he called again he didn't want to die.

The huntress had noticed her missing son since his fahter was missing she was out looking for him away from the safty of home. The frantic scared calls reached her and her turned her trot into a gallop answering his call tohis relief some. She entered the clearing at full speed eyeing the cougar with anger she brought her chassis between it and her baby half rearing in protest she didn't want to kill just scare the brute off. the young deer she caught out of the corner of her eyes and she called to it.

Get him out of the vines get him to your lands explain everything to your leader tell him I will come collect him when this is over

Little Earth

Little Earth was ready to spring into the shallows of the water and create a contest of it when the cougar appeared. With a terrified bark, the stag wheeled around and began to run, not knowing who Ghost had planned to go after. He would have run blindly on to his home terrain, but heard Cosmic's frantic calls behind him. "Cosmic!" Little Earth cried, seeing that his friend had gotten tangled up. Fighting the overwhelming desire to flee, the yearling hedged back towards the trapped Cosmic. This is what I've been trained for... right..? He thought to himself, trying to recall what the scout stags had told him.

He didn't have to think long, for Cosmic's mother soon showed up, and Little Earth thankfully stayed behind her. "I will." He replied with a shaking nod of his head after she spoke to him. Mentally cursing that he had nothing but fuzzy bumps on his head, Little Earth turned his teeth on the vines. He snapped and chomped at the vines until he was sure they were loose enough for his friend to get away. "Hurry, follow me!" He barked, heading for the Oak Prairie terra. Apart from fearing about the cougar, Little Earth fervently hoped that those vines weren't of the sumac variety.

Nhosh & Others

A red deer stag thundered down the shore with an enraged bellow, scything his sword-like anterls through the air as he went. Catching sight of the cougar, he rushed for him but didn't yet attack. Behind him traveled fifteen other stags; including three axis deer, one red deer, five white-tails, four fallows, and one white-lipped deer. All of them had antlers, though they were all still in velvet and rather soft.

Nhosh stood next to Luna Dreams, and with a nod, had the rest of his stags form a semi-circle. "Find prey elsewhere, cat!" The stag roared, pawing his hooves into the ground, his head lowered for defense.

Luna Dreams

Luna nodded to Nosh repect for him shinning in her ebonite orbs. It had been sometime since she had seen her mate and now now just as mad at him as she was the large cat. He should be here protecting their son with her. She was the leader of the lands beside him and she had been takin on the toil alone no one else was there. Bring her gaze back to the cat she reared her moonlight coat shimmering as the black hock kisser and banner flew about her wildly. Coming back down she began to paw to the ground in anger at the cat and Vortex. Only loud enough for Nosh to hear she spoke.

me and my son owe you greatly. I would like to form an alliance between our lands

Nhosh & Others

He offered Luna a determined glance before returning his focus on the cat. His response was sincere and quiet, meant only for her ears as well, "No need to worry of debt. Your quick actions most certainly saved our youngling as well as yours from this beast." Nhosh dipped his antlers lower, offering Ghost a pair of three-foot daggers to contend with, "As for an alliance, I'm very sure my herd would accept the offer. When we're done contending with this burden, perhaps you and your herd could pay a quick visit to our lands?" Although Nhosh was certain that his herd would accept the offer, he was obliged to hold a meeting of sorts with the lead hinds. During this time of the season, with all the fawns being born, he and the rest of the older stags didn't stay too close to the hinds unless danger arose or big decisions had to be made.

A white-tail stag that stood to the opposite side of Luna pawed at the ground furiously. He was Solange, Nhosh's second in command. He wasn't the largest deer in the herd, but he was very skilled. And like Nhosh, he boasted a strange set of antlers. Dozens of tines sprouted this way and that in random fasion, making his rack look like a tangle of bony daggers instead of the neatly-lined rows that most white-tails had. Beside Solange was Huyen, his brother. Together, the two took a step closer to Ghost, snorting and pawing at the ground, trying to intimidate the cougar.

Luna Dreams

As she spoke she did her best to choke back a sigh her tones again ment for him explained.

Me and my son are the only ones in the lands. His father is missing been gone for sometime. Others that were there are gone too

She wasn't defeneless the few scars that were once absent on her silver pelt showed that she was a fighter and would do anyting for anyone she cared about. As the duo moved upon the cougar she took a step forward her tiara down to ward off an attack to her neck her hooves hitting the ground hard.

Nhosh & Others

As he listened to Luna's reply, Nhosh raised his head briefly and gave a silent signal to his comrades. Three axis and one red deer formed a barrier in front of Luna, Nhosh, and the rest of the stags as they advanced on Ghost.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I've noted that many of the horse herds around here aren't thriving." The lead watched as the line of four stags continued their advance on Ghost, leaving the big cat no choice but to back off or run away from the encroaching antlers.

"I think we're finished here. I'll lead you back to my terrain where your young one waits." Nhosh turned slowly around, giving Ghost one last, long look. Then he and the rest of the party began to move cautiously away. They were prepared to turn at a moment's notice to defend themselves if the cat choose to attack.

Luna Dreams

She smiled the best she could as the stag came infront of her and Nosh she knew too that the equines on these lands weren't thriving. This place didn't seen suited to many. Without speaking she followed Nosh her thorns back to heard the cougar incase he attacked
