*Moose*
Right next to the waters a dead moose lay on the ground, torn apart at the stomach area. The most of the inners were gone, but the outside was still intact. It was a fresh kill, and the flys were just begining to buzz about it. Some red and yellow leaves lay on top of it, as well as around the animal due to the fall weather. A large maple tree was the culprit, and it's branches were still thick with leaves. It would be awhile before they fell.
Lokk
The wolf had departed from the Oak territory, for it was not his intention to kill any human, or any creature for that matter, without due cause. So now the seasoned brute found himself making a curciut around the Lake, searching for something he knew not of yet, when an inviting scent came to his nostrils.
His stomach rumbled and his mouth began to water in response to the smell of fresh flesh. Not being a finicky eater, Lokk picked up his pace and trailed the scent until he came across the moose's carcass. Always wary at first, he circle about the meal and sniffed around. By the looks of the gutted creature, Lokk assumed it may have been killed by some large cat, for they favor the innards. But he could not tell. As it was, he couldn't detect anything alarming about the site, and his hunger took control. Moving in closer, he began to feed at the haunch of the carcass.
*Moose & ???*
A small dart was shot at the wolf from the tree. It was aimed for his back haunch and it was full of a sleeping mixture. If the wolf did not notice it in time he would slowly feel the effects of the drug. And if he was hit he only had so long before it would overcome him.
Lokk
He flinched sharply, pulling his bloodied head up as he felt the sting of the dart. Wide emerald eyes gazed in a mixture of fear and dread as he saw what caused the annoying discomfort. Quickly, Lokk snapped his jaws around the dart and yanked it out, but the drugs were already in his body. For a moment he stood uncertaintly, looking unblinkingly to the trees where it seemed that the dart had come from. Then he sprung away from the moose and began to race into the woods.
It wasn't long at all before a weakness gripped his limbs and his coordination waivered. The wolf tripped over his own rushing paws and slammed into the ground, sending up a flurry of multi-hued leaves. Scrabbling at the chilled forest floor, Lokk got up and continued his feverishly fast pace. But again, gravity defeated him as he fell to the ground after going no more than a few yards. What's happening to me? He wondered, blinking dazidly at his surroundings, which seemed to be spinning and going out of focus. Once more the wolf attempted to get up, but this time his strength was robbed. He crumpled to the ground and slowly felt the paralysis take him over. In short time, he was completely out.
Fire N Ice
The mare came upon the scene smelling death. The femme saw the dead moose and quivered at the thought of it dying. She saw the dart being fired and cryed out to the wolf but the dart hit the poor animal and she saw the effects. She stood still for a moment watching the wolf sink into a doze before her mind took over and she immediately though RUN!. Panic gripped her as she shot past the place where the dart had been fired. Hopefully she would get away before anything happened...
Human
A human slipped from the tree, freezing at thesight of the horse, but not wother with the equine. His buisness was with this wolf. He would be brought to the wolf center for studies. Rather quickly at first he made his way after the animal, but once he got closer, her slowed to be sure the drugs had taken full effect. He overlooked the limb body and quickly pulled out his celly phone, calling for a truck.
5 minutes later the truck arrived, another man getting out. Both lifted the animal into the back of the trusk, the first man sitting in the pickup with the animal, while the other drove. They would take him to the reopened Wolf Center.
