Kalion
Kalion was torn between emotions. A strong surge of joy flooded through him, now knowing that Sequioa loved him was almost too good to be true. But she did, and he felt invincable. However, he also felt awful. Sequioa was tearing herself apart with all the guilt over Aaka's death, and the Labradane couldn't stand to see her like this.
Glancing back, the hybrid made sure Sequioa was following, trotting casually along the shoreline as the sound of the waves breaking on the beach created a calm atmosphere. Breathing in the smell of the water, and the bay, Kalion came to a stop near the waters edge, looking out over the bay as the sun began to decline, signalling the afternoon would soon slip into evening. An orca broke the surface of the water, making the calm surface ripple wildly, before it disappeared back into the deep. Kalion turned back to look for Sequioa, smiling softly.
Sequioa
She smiled back at him as she trailed a bit behind. She liked the bay. No. She loved the bay. It was quiet, it was everything she was not. Without warning, she nipped his haunch then took off running, laughter trailing behind her. Your it! She called back to Kalion. Sequioa wasn't the best at running, but she made up with it by speedy turns and agile leaps. She spun around and crouched down, her banner waving as she waited for him to try and catch her.
Kalion
Grinning when she nipped his haunch, Kalion spun round to see Sequioa take off. Barking happily, he charged after her, his long legs making him able to cover ground quickly. The hybrid skidded, unable to perform the stunts and spins she could. It wasn't about winning though, he just wanted to make her happy. Still, if he could just catch her!
Growling playfully, he dived for hindquaters trying to score a nip to tag her back. "No fair! You had a head start!"
Sequioa
Her laughter was soft as she spun again, barely tucking her hindquarters underneathe her, and dodging the nip. Without warning, she spun and pounced on him, her banner waving merrily. Are you calling me a cheater, Kalion? She growled in her most serious voice, but her eyes were laughing at him. For once, she didn't seem like Sequioa, but someone else who just wished to enjoy life for once....
