Pokey/Nova/Vivian/Lisa

Pokey swam to the shore and hopped across the rocky terrain. Having just eaten, he he was feeling rather drowsy. He let his head drop and closed his eyes.

Soon after came Nova, a mottled King penguin. She, however, did not climb ashore. Instead, she played with a piece of seaweed she had found.

Vivian hopped across the rocks clumsily, while Lisa kept a lookout.

Flikk

A leucistic Gentoo Penguin hadn't been far away; in fact, he had actually been watching the group from a rocky perch at the side of the water. He could see plenty of things from there, and he enjoyed it. As he looked down at the shore, a small fish dangled from his mouth. He had recently gone fishing, and though he had only gotten a couple fish, he wasn't too hungry. Deciding to check this bunch out, he wobbled along the rocks, hopping down and soon enough finding his way to level ground. He gave out a squawk as he neared them, happy there were others around.

Pokey/Nova/Vivian/Lisa

Lisa turned her head quickly when she heard Flikk's call. "I'm Lisa. Are you new here too?" She called back, bobbing her head.

By this time Pokey had woken up. He wattled to Lisa's side and watched the smaller penguin. "And I'm Pokey. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?" Vivian stopped abruptly and stared in the direction of the other bird. He looked almost exactly like her!

Flikk

Flikk was glad that the other penguins were friendly, and he eagerly stepped closer. What else would he expect, though? Either way, maybe he could stay with them. Listening to their words intently, he gave a nod. "I'm Flikk, and yes, I'm new." he replied happily, flapping his 'arms' at his sides. "When did you all get here?" he asked then, but suddenly looked at Vivian. At first he thought she looked awfully familier, and that's when he realized she looked like him. He was a bit curious of this, but did his best not to stare in return.

Pokey/Nova/Vivian/Lisa

Pokey smiled. "Welcome, Flikk." He said politely. "I arrived here a while ago, nova came shortly after me, but Vivian and Lisa just got here." Lisa nodded to confirm this.

Vivian finally got the courage to approach the newcomer. She shyly stepped forward and stopped a few feet from Flikk. "Hi. I'm Vivian." She said timidly.

Lisa called out to Nova. "Hey! Come meet our new friend!" She exclaimed. The mottled king penguin scrambled ashore and ran to the group. "Hey. I'm Nova." She said happily.

Flikk

Flikk gave a nod to the other penguins, glad that they had proved kind. He had never known anyone to be rude first, but he didn't care about that anymore and didn't want to seem like the 'bad guy'. "I just recently arrived," he replied to Pokey, giving his wings one more flap. That's when the others came up, and he turned to them. "Hey, I'm Flikk," he stated, a smile etched onto his features. He was glad to finally see some others of his kind around here, though he had just arrived. He didn't like being alone for any amount of time. "Well, is this place nice?" he then asked, not knowing what else to say.

Pokey

Pokey nodded. "It's alright, but it gets so warm this time of year. The water is nice, though, and the fish are plentiful." He explained.

Flikk

Flikk thought it over, and shuddered lightly. He had never liked the warmth much. It was... Hot and uncomfortable. "Oh... Well at least the water is fine," he stated, making a shrugging motion. "Well, do you know of any other penguins, or are we the only ones around?" he asked next, curious. He would have to stop asking so many questions sometime, but he didn't know what else to do.

Pokey

Pokey tilted his head. "As far as I know, it's just us." He replied. He was sure they would become good friends. After all, it was natural for penguins to live together.

Flikk

Flikk thought about it, and then gave a slow nod. Well, at least they knew each other was there. That was always a plus. He then looked to the waters and waddled to the shore. He expected many things to be different in the area, including the food. "Is the fish any good?" he asked lightly, peering into the liquid.
