Aralyn
She felt as if she was flying. Psyches strides were powerful and full of strength, her black hide glimmering in the sun that was beginning to set. Shay.... She murmered softly to the mare. Slowly, oh so slowly, the mare began to slow until coming to a halt right at the waters edge. She hadn't been here in ages, but she was happy to be back. Aralyn turned back to see if Nadeem was still behind her, or if she'd have to go find him. Soft laughter escaped her at that. She liked the guy, he was nice. And didn't yell at her. Who wouldn't like him?
As the sun set on the water, she saw a pod of whales leaping about and playing. Smiling faintly, she watched them and softly began to sing.
How can I pretend that I don't see
What you hide so carelessly?
I saw her bleed
You heard me breathe
And I froze inside myself
And turned away
I must be dreaming
We all live
We all die
That does not begin to justify you
It's not what it seems
Not what you think
No I must be dreaming
It's only in my mind
Not in real life
No I must be dreaming
Nadeem & Abhay
Without waiting for his own master's signal, Abhay had taken off like a rocket when Aralyn ordered Psyche forward. Nadeem was nearly cast off the stallion, but after a bit of fumbling, managed to balance himself and stay on. The rest of the ride was much more pleasant, though he struggled now and then to keep the wily horse in control.
Panting from the run, Abhay cantered up along side of Psyche, "Phew, what a run! We ought to do that again." He commented, one ear flicked back to hear his master, while the other was forward. Nadeem usually doesn't like when I run fast like that." At this, a look of amusement and mischeive shown in the horse's eyes.
Nadeem was a bit embarrassed by his horse's stuborn and blatent disreguard for his commands, but at least the stallion was a gentle one. Deciding not to comment on Abhay's bad behavior, the man focused instead on Aralyn, "That's a beautiful voice you have, Aralyn. And this..." He looked from her to the panoramic scene, "...I never knew such a place existed in the Valley." For all the tales of killings and murder, this place seemed remarkably peaceful.
Aralyn
Her smile was faint as he rode beside her, and she held tight to Psyches mane. There is a black wolf that lives here. I believe she is a mix, for shes to tall and lanky. She was pretty upset when I first arrived here, but when I showed her I wasn't like most humans she accepted me. Poor Greg, he wasn't getting that same acceptance. She doesn't have a name yet, but shes very pretty. I wanted something unique for her, ya know? All of her pets got unique names. Psyche, Malon, all of them. Lightly she patted Psyches neck, and the mare spoke softly to Abhay Aralyn rescued me from the Bad Place. Even when I showed her my worst, she didn't give up on me like everyone else did. There was a pain in the mares eyes, but there was also happiness there. A piece of her life finally exposed.
Nadeem & Abhay
Interest sparked in his dark eyes when she mentioned the hybrid. "I would like to meet this hybrid. Maybe we could think of a name for her together?" Nadeem cast his eyes along the stretch of beach, but Greg and the others were quite a distance away, obscured from view by various boulders and such obstacles.
Abhay looked to Psyche now, "What is the Bad Place? She must be a very good human." He said quietly, now turning his dark eyes to the girl.
Psyche
Aralyn gave Nadeem a faint smile, and she murmered softly If you wait, she'll be here. It just takes her time, I've seen many others on the beach and she lets them all know shes not happy about it. Soft laughter escaped her as she continued to watch the whales. Night was falling, and all around them it grew darker and darker. She didn't mind though. Night was her time.
Psyche gave her own soft smile. She is kind. The images of the bad place....She shifted beneath Aralyn, a quick fidget but the womans soft hand and soothing voice halted her. It is not a place you would want to go, Abhay. They kill all the horses they think have no use left in this world. Most were strong willed, high tempered horses. She got me out of there, though. She couldn't save us all, but she saved me. I was only two, then. That was four years ago. She shifted again, but it was to get comfortable. Thats when she scented her ; Sang. Ah....Be prepared for flashing temper, and fangs. She said to Abhay. She snorted, a warning signal to Aralyn. The young womans eyes began to scan the area, the full moon making it much easier when suddenly she saw her. Sang stood atop a large rock, her eyes glowing and her fur standing on end. It did not matter that it was Aralyn there. She had another with her. Another human. Yes, Greg was very lucky that Aralyn had arrived.
Nadeem & Abhay
Continuing to look along the beach, Aralyn's words sparked a touch of concern from Nadeem, "Are you sure it's safe? What if she isn't happy about me being here?" As night began to descend, Nadeem felt a touch of thrill and fear at the same time. He knew the dangers of the wild animals here, but Aralyn seemed to know what she was talking about, so he put his trust in her.
"That's horrible! I've heard of such places in my homeland, but I've never seen them." He remarked with a touch of darkness in his voice, "Wait, what?" THe stallion lifted his head, nostrils flaring as he caught scent of the wolf, "Woah, you saying you know this wolf?"
Aralyn * Sang
Sang began to come forth, the moon doing wonders at making her seem ethereal, from another world. Aralyn slipped from Psyches back and said softly Shhh.... She began to walk towards Sang, who lowered her head and growled low. Its okay, baby. Hes a friend. My friend. Sang growled again, but it was softer and her eyes drifted to Nadeem. Keen intelligence was there in those eyes, those haunting yellow eyes. She made no movement, none other then breathing.
Sangre. Be nice. Psyche said to the hybrid. Sangs eyes lifted and she growled at Psyche. My name is NOT Sangre, its Sang. S-A-N-G. She growled. Yes, but Sangre sounds better. Oh, if only looks could kill. The daughter of Legosa and Aaka seemed ready to attack, but she wouldn't kill anyone. She wasn't a killer.
Nadeem & Abhay
Pulse quickening, Nadeem felt a twinge of fear and excitement race along his spine. Meeting wild canines face-to-face was something he had always dreamed on doing, but it would take some getting use to. "That's amazing..." He commented in an astonished tone, "How did you ever come to be her friend?"
Abhay pinned his ears back, stomping a hoof to the ground. "You sure she's safe? I'm not liking those growls..." He edged, eyes narrowed slightly as he kept a close look on Sang. He wasn't quite as thrilled as his master about meeting wild canines like this.
