Greg & Innuo

Making his way down the mountain, Greg had plenty of time to think about what had just happened to him, though the why of it eluded him. Why was he spared, when so many people were killed out there? Did that tiger really save him? And what was that wolf trying to convey... it was all so confusing, and yet so wonderful.

When Innuo began to lag behind, Greg picked up the tired kitten. "I don't know if we'll be visiting that place again any time soon." He murmured, lost in thought. Although the idea was tempting, he was too afraid to chance it again. Trying to sort through things in his mind, Greg headed to a large rock at the edge of the lapping waves. Climbing up, he sat on the stone, with the little liger drifting to sleep in his lap.

Hellsong * Sang

She moved swiftly across the beach, her long legs eating up the ground in a fast moving trot. She could smell them, intruders on her beach. Intruders.... She halted suddenly as they came into view. She came closer and closer, her hybrid eyes glowing with malice. But then...Her eyes fell upon Hellsong and Innuo. She gave a soft growl. She couldn't kill the human when there was two children about. So the hybrid stood, about ten yards away with her head down and eyes glowing fiercly. This just wasn't Gregs day.

Hellsong didn't have a problem keeping up, he was just so happy. Then he saw Sang. He glanced to Greg and the liger, then said Let me handle this, ok? He trotted towards the older canine, and nuzzled her. Whats wrong? My new dad and brother are just walking on the beach, we don't mean any harm. She didn't say anything. Those eyes.....Hellsong began to back up. Her eyes were so cold, so jaded. Uh...Ah...We won't do nothing wrong, I promise. He said in a half pleading tone. It seemed to fall on deaf ears, for Sang still made no movement.

Greg & Innuo

"Holy shit!" Those were the first words coming from Greg's mouth, punctuted with alarm and disbelief when he heard the growl and turned to see Sang there. "Easy now, easy..." The teen said, his voice a touch shaken and hesitant as he slowly rose to his feet.

It was beginning to dawn on little Innuo that not many animals liked his father, though he couldn't figure out why, "Beat her up!" The liger said, eyes narrowed as a rumble grew in his throat, "In fact... Dad, let me go! We need to teach her a lesson!" Innuo complained, wriggling about in Greg's grasp as he tried to get down and 'teach Sang a lesson'.

Luckily for Innuo, Greg held him tightly. "Innuo, stop it!" The teen hissed, hazel eyes flashing from the liger before resting on Hellsong, "Get back here, little pup! Ahh, this day isn't going so well..."

Nikta

Nikta perched in a short tree next to Sang, eying the human. He nearly jumped out of his skin when the liger cub tried to escape. It appeared as if he wanted to attack Sang. The brightly-colored bird wasn't about to let that happen. "STOP!" He exclaimed urgently. The last thing he needed to see now was more death. He soon lowered his voice and spoke calmly. "Cat, I promise you that my master will not do any harm to you and your friends if you do none to her." He said in a kind manner.

Sang

Her eyes lifted at the voice, and she gave a smile. Nikta. Good to see you. Then her eyes lowered to Innuo. Yes, little cat. Come teach me a lesson. I dare you. Something in that voice, something dark and dangerous. She took a step closer, making Hellsong step back. He was no coward, but she was bigger and older then him. Hellsong ran back to Greg, growling at Sang. Go away.

Greg & Innuo

Knowing better than to wave his arms about in the air this time, Greg decided to stand his ground and look as brave as he could. "Nice wolf, easy now.." He said, looking warily at Sang as she stepped closer.

Innuo stopped fidgeting for a moment when Nikta spoke to him, "She's being mean to my daddy though! Hey!" He growled in a squeaky voice when Sang tauned him, "I'll teach you a lesson you'll never forget, let me tell you!" The liger boasted, struggling again in Greg's arms, "Aw, come on, Dad! Le'me at her!" But it was no use, he was firmly held back.

Sang * Hellsong

Her eyes lit up, and Hellsong kept coming back until he was pressed against Gregs legs. I think we should go. He knew when to fight. This wasn't one of those times. There was something in the females eyes....Something dangerous. Innuo! Hush! Before you provoke her. Sang let out a bitter laugh. Yes Innuo. Do hush, for your efforts are for nothing. I can kill you with one bite, as well as your friend and your...Father. Keep taunting me, kitty, and I'll put you out of your misery. Laporta. Oh, sweet Laporta with your death you had shattered what kindness had been inside of Sang.

Greg & Innuo

Greg swung his foot out slowly, using it to nudge Hellsong behind him. In the thought of self-preservation, he wondered if he should start chucking rocks at Sang to scare her off. But again, being threatening had nearly gotten him killed at the Mountains. Well, at least she hadn't attacked yet, though Innuo wasn't helping out with that...

"Oh, I'll provoke her alright! I'll tear your ears off, and that stupid tail of yours! I'll beat you up good, I will!" The liger continued to be combative, struggling in vain against Greg's hold. One day he'd be far big enough to back his words, but right now, he was nothing more than a kitten.

Slowly, Greg began to back-up, hoping that Sang would not follow or attack.

Sang

She coiled her muscles beneath her and was about to attack when the wind shifted and she scented more humans. A snarl erupted from her, and she looked to Innuo. Your lucky, cub. The woman saved you. Then she turned and trotted away, disappearing behind a boulder.

What woman? Hellsong said to no one in particular.

Greg & Innuo

A sigh of relief was released when Sang left. Having pushed his luck enough for one day, Greg decided he had spent enough time in the wild for now. "Come on, pup." He said with a half-hearted smile, still rather shaken. With a hesitant glance behind him, Greg headed for The Night Club. Maybe not the best place to be going, but at least he would have to worry so much about the wild animals.

Innou wrinkled his nose up, "And you're lucky my dad didn't let me go!" Sending death-glares at Sang, he was carried away from the Bay.
