Soren
The eagle flew over the waters of the bay spotting a pod or maybe two of whales. He flew over to the beach and landed on a pine tree. His eyes wondered around searching he was hungry and tired he had flown a great distance. He screeched and called out. Yet he called to no one he was a loner and he liked it that way
Half-fin
A two-toned head appeared from the dark waters of the bay. A young orca had heard the eagel's cry and was terribly curious about the winged-creature. "Hello there!" he chirped out, "Did you make that noise I heard?" He turned his dark eyes to the eagle in the tree. True to his name, this fellow was missing half of one of his side fins. A reminder about his run in with a Bull shark.
Soren
He looked down and saw the youngster whale. Well I am trying to find a home. Personally i like this tree what about you? He screeched he noticed the wound on the youngsters fins he wondered what had happened.
Half-fin
He raised his head further out of the water, "Seems like a fine tree to me. This is a great place to catch fish... your kind likes fish, right?" Half-fin questioned, trying to recall what his uncle Tyali had told him about eagles. "Say... could you catch me some food from the land? And I could catch you something from the deep waters?" The young orca suddenly asked. That was another thing he remembered about his uncle. Tyali loved to try things from the land!
Soren
He screeched. Of course why not what would you like? There is rabbits, squeirrls, chipmunks, and other birds. He waited to see what the young one would pick. He knew what he would pick.
Half-fin
Rabbit was something he knew about, though had never tasted. But it was squirrel that really got his attention, "Squirrrrrrel...." The whale tried out the word and snorted happily, "One of those, maybe? They sound interesting! And now... what would you like from the ocean? There's stingrays, crabs, lobsters, fish of course... whale, dolphin, seals... there's so much to choose from!"
Soren
Lobster! He loved lobster he looked off at the nearby trees and checked them for squirrels hoping that he would find one fast. he normally liked to be alone, but this orca or killer whale as he called himself was a very friendly and interesting creature.
Half-fin & *Squirrels*
"Lobster? Sure! I bet you'll love it! I'll be back soon enough!" The young whale flipped his head back, creating a large splash. Doing a sort of backflip, his white belly flashed in the sun, followed shortly by his fluke, which he smashed heavily against the waves, creating another giant splash before he was out of sight.
Squirrel were abundant around the area. Near the coast, gray squirrel were most frequent. One particular beast had wandered quite a ways from the safety of the trees. He was on a mission to find a suitable place to burry and acorn nut.
Soren
He searched the trees and looked for a squirrel he spotted one and took off. It was a grey squirrel a nice and chubby one. He flew at it talons out strechted hopefully the squirrel wouldn't see him coming.
*Squirrel*
The squirrel noticed the fast-flying creature just a moment too late. Nearly jumping up in surprise, the critter tried to turn and dash away. But Soren was awfully close... all he had to do was stretch his talons out a bit further and he'd have his squirrel.
Soren
Seeing that the critter noticed him he flapped even harder. He outstreched his talons and hoped that they would sink into the squirrels flesh.
*Squirrel*
A shriek rang in the air as Soren's talons hit their mark, burying deep into the rodent's flesh. The squirrel struggled valiently, but a simple bite to the neck or head from the eagle's powerful beak would kill the creature.
Soren
He tore into the rodents flesh and while landing at the same tree he had started on. He waited for the orca to return.
Half-fin
Half-fin swam about half way out into the bay, staying near a shallow ridge where he knew lobsters were normally found. Taking a breath, the orca dove down and used his sonar, trying to pick up on where one of the crustations might be...
*lobster*
A lobster moved around on the bottom of the sea bed and began eating small particules.
Half-fin
Spotting his prey, Half-fin glided swiftly towards it. Knowing that the claws could hurt, Half-fin spat a jet of water at the lobster, hoping it'd be strong enough to blow the creature up off the ground where Half-fin could more easily catch him.
*lobster*
The creature was blown into the water he floated downwards up side down his claws pinching the water he would pinch the creature that did this.
Half-fin
Half-fin gave a squeal of delight when the lobster ended upside down. Opening his jaws wide, the young orca tried to snap down on the lobster's head; or in that general area anyway, to kill it quick. Feeling big and tough, he thought he could be quicker than the lobster's claws... but Half-fin still had many lessons to learn.
*lobster*
When the orca was close enough he crunched down on his snout but the orca had his mouth over him a quick bite would kill it.
