Starbuck
The buck slowly walked into sight, where the snow was less thick. He started digging through the white blanket before stuffing his black muzzle into it. He tried to get some grass, but decided it was to hard. He wagged his small tail and set off for a piece of land with less snow. He then stopped, sniffed, and stuffed his dark muzzle back into the light layer of snow. He eagerly grazed, but picking up few peices of grass at a time wasn't enough.
Icelit
The white-tailed deer had picked up the scent of the buck and curiousity and lonesomeness drove her to him. Icelit was a strange deer, having been rescued last year by the lady of the Woodland Farm. Due to complications of a disease that nearly killed her and the help of wolves, she lost much of her fear for predators and humans. So far, she was lucky not to be attacked.
Flicking her tail and bobbing her dainty head now and then, she slowly approached Starbuck, seeing if he would take notice in her.
Starbuck
The buck quickly turned his head. He let out a small snort and slowly walked to the doe. He stopped a few feet away and sniffed the air. "Who are you?" He wagged his stump-like tail around. "I am Starbuck."
Icelit
She turned her head coyly, dipping it down slightly, "Icelit. It's nice to meet you, Starbuck." The doe lifted her head up again, stretching her lean neck towards the buck to better pick up his scent.
Starbuck
He slowly lowered his head and raised it. "I havn't seen you around before, do you live anywhere specific?" He liked to know about the animals he newly met, but he was also rather curious. He had never seen another deer around before. He had lived at Orca Bay for all his life, and never has seen another deer.
He slowly sniffed more, before shifting his body.
Icelit
"My herd use to live near Galar's Marsh." Icelit closed her eyes tightly a moment, trying not to recall the devistation that had completely wiped out her pack and nearly took her own life. "I live near the Woodland Farm now. I have no herd... no other deer except me, really." Icelit suddenly feared that she had said too much and Starbuck would turn away from her like the others had. Quickly, she added, "The human and dogs that live there are so very kind."
