*Eagle*

A juvenile bald eagle stood wavering on a rock near the shore. An inexperienced hunter mistook his dark, adolescent form as that of some buzzard or large raven. A deep bullet wound was on his right side, below his wing. The young eagle was lucky enough that the bullet hadn't hit anything vital, but the shock and pain from the injury kept him from flying. Unable to scavenge much food, he was growing thin.

Spirit

The younger sister of Tri-Tundra loped in, searching for a place to be alone. Her mind played back the harsh words her sister had spoken, yet, it was true. When she noticed the eagle though, she loped up, crania help high. She came over and nudged it gently to awaken it. "You are weak? What happened? Should I take you to the Farm?"

*Bald Eagle*

The dark brown eagel woke with a start, flattening his feather down. But being so young, he was nieve and didn't fear many animals like other more experienced eagles might. Recovering from his initial shock, the eagle raised his feathers and settled them back down before speaking to the wolf, "I'm famished!" he exclaimed with heart, looking up at Spirit with large, glistening eyes. "A two-legger with a shiny stick did something to me. It made a loud crashing noise and then my side was wounded. Magic or something." he said, speaking the last statement in a hushed tone. 'Magic', as his parents had told him about, was done by humans. In other terms though, it was a way to describe something they couldn't understand. "What is the farm?"

Spirit

She gasped when he spoke of the magic. "The magic you are talking about came from a hunter. He shot you? Incredible! Humans are out for more than blood these days." She shook her head, then answered the last question. "The Farm is a place called Woodland Farm. A lady there helps animals in need who have been injured. She helped me. She is nearly the only good human out there." She widened her eye so that he could see it was tinted slightly pink for blood. Large gashes that had begun to scar were easily seen under her eye. "I was in a fight." She looked down, still angry at the turn outs.

*Bald Eagle*

His keen sight spotted the signs of the fight in a flash, "What were you hurt by?" He then dipped his head slightly, "If you don't mind me asking, of course." The young eagle thought about what she had said, "A hunter, huh? I hear such creatures are causing much trouble around the Valley. And this Woodland Farm? I suppose it would be good for me to go there... if this lady is good like you say."

Spirit

"I was hurt by a large dog named Legosa and another of my kind named Mitya. It is quite alright." She nodded as she spoke of the hunters. "Yes, they are destroying everything. I do not know where to go that is safe. And, yes, it would be good to go there. Although, we will have to make sure that we get to there safely." She pondered, trying to think of the best route. She then thought of how her sister had befriended orcas down here. They may know a way...
